We could not be more pleased. The cottage is lovely and well appointed. It was peaceful, restful and beautiful. We will be back to this exact location again. Loved it. The only slight downside is the comfort of the bed. But otherwise, perfect.

We spent our wedding anniversary here dazzled by the lake and autumn changing trees. The quiet and scenery fueled tons of inspiration for us and got our creative juices flowing - we got a ton of great work done. Plus, everything was immaculate, super cozy, and the perfect size for a couple. We took out the boat and built an outdoor fire, watched movies and cooked in the awesome kitchen. A rustic oasis for an incredible getaway. ❤️

As rental properties go, this house was A+ all the way. I have rented vacation homes in many locations and for many years. This house was just magnificent. Beautifully furnished, very well situated on the lake, and equipped more thoughtfully than most of the rental properties that I have enjoyed over the past several decades! Many rental properties fall short on things like cooking utensils, spices, paper goods and the like. This property supplied everything and more needed for a convenient and easy stay. One of the best features was the contact person who was responsive and caring, especially when there were a few problems. Her eagerness to help and her efficient handling of all matters was outstanding and very much appreciated. The lake was lovely, the provisions, i.e. gas grill, Adirondack chairs, kayaks, safety equipment, etc. was more than adequate.
This is a house that we hope to come back to at least annually. What a find! Special mention to Evolve for handling the rental experience extremely well in every way.

amazing, tranquil lake house
We have stayed at many lakehouses in the Catskills/Hudon region over the years, and this was one of the very best. The house was comfortable and had every amenity we could have wanted. The lake was beautiful and it was so relaxing to use one of the property's included kayaks to spend time out on the water.
The owner was friendly, responsive and helpful, and overall we had a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back!

Lovely lakeside cabin
Our family of 3 had a perfectly refreshing getaway in this lovely cabin on Wanasink Lake. My husband balked a little at the price - it's a bit expensive for what it is - but we did go at the peak of high season (first week of August). The cabin and property are just wonderful. The house is recently renovated with all new hardwood and knotty pine, which gives it that wonderful summer-cabin look and smell. The couch is deliciously deep and comfy. The bathroom is all new, although we used the outdoor shower exclusively (one of humanity's best inventions, the outdoor hot-water shower). The two tiny bedrooms were fine for our family of three. We kayaked daily, swam a bit, and enjoyed evening fires by the water's edge. The property is at the far end of the lake, and although there are neighboring houses on both sides neither was occupied during the week so it was private and quiet. It was exactly what we needed for a COVID-era getaway. My son said it's "the kind of place you want to go back to year after year", and I agree!

2nd Visit
My fiancée and I had another (longer) visit to this wonderful property. The waterfront side of the house has been upgraded with a large patio for cooking, dining and lounging. The host is extremely responsive and accommodating. We look forward to returning!

Stayed 5 nights, while visiting friends on the lake. This cottage was perfect for 2-3 people. Fully renovated, the property was lovely to stay at. Beautiful view of the lake. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

Brought the paddleboard, easy fishing, awesome fire-pit and great outdoor shower. House is cozy and layout is efficient. Would definitely stay again.

This was such a great escape from city life. Our 6 year-old assigned herself the bedroom with the lake view. and we kayaked, made s'mores, and enjoyed throwing rocks in the lake every day. Perfectly appointed for our little family of 3. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen (with a range much nicer than the one I have at home) and the hot water was fast and plentiful. Our host, Maureen, was quick to respond when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We can't wait to go back when it's warm enough to swim!

Wonderful Stay
We were very fortunate to do a longer term stay at this property for almost a month and were so glad we did- wish we could have stayed even longer! The house was great for that amount of time with all the amenities one needs for a comfortable and easy stay. It was very easy to work remotely from the well set up work station with external monitors and keyboard available. The well-appointed kitchen was great for cooking and the living area/sitting porch were super comfortable with windows overlooking the lake from all sides. The lake is very quiet and beautiful with much fewer developed areas than most lakes we have been on. We enjoyed both the front and back seating areas, especially the fire pit right on the lakefront. The location is very close to a grocery store and weekend farmers market which is very convenient and was easy drives to other small towns around the Catskills. Maureen was a fantastic host- super responsive and accommodating. You can tell the care and thought she has put into this home and to make her guests feel welcome. Highly recommend this property and cannot wait to come back again!

Lovely Lake Cabin
My fiancée and I had the pleasure of staying at the Wanaksink Lake cabin for 4 nights. It’s freshly updated, well stocked and very clean. The lake is crystal clear. We really enjoyed the kayaks, long swims and walks through the private community. It’s a unique spot that’s very quiet and most often breezy. We look forward to returning soon!

Rock Hill Cabin
Everything about the cabin was a delight. New construction and fixtures; lovely welcome package. The lake is beautiful; we made great use of the kayaks and enjoyed the outdoor shower. There was a small glitch on our arrival and Maureen was wonderful and immediately responsive. We went hiking nearby in both Neversink and Basha Kill preservation. We had a wonderful time and would come back for another getaway.
