Open plan and comfy. Kitchen was reasonably equipped which allowed us to eat in rather than dining out.
The standard of cleanliness throughout was superb and the cottage is absolutely charming.
I’m not sure I can pin point anything that we didn’t like
4.4
Convenient location
No tea bags
4.4
Location plenty of shops nearby and the parking permit was excellent
Soundproofing would help but the property is on a main road
4.4
the property is everything you expect - a cute cottage beautifully done up
there is some traffic noise from the busy road outside
4.4
A bit quirky
Very noisy from road traffic. Nothing you can do at all with the location of the cottage but it’s very handy for the village centre. If you want to sleep, pack some ear defenders.
No welcoming pack apart from some gummie bears, no tea bags or sugar. Quite an expensive cottage to have no pack especially when we drove for 6 hours to get there and really needed a cuppa.

By far one of the best I’ve stayed in clean modern well presented could not fault
Very smart location was fantastic plenty around

Location, near bars, cafes and shoos
The traffic noise as it’s a very busy village.

It’s a beautiful beautiful cottage

The house is absolutely beautiful. Every little thing in it is beautiful.
Nothing - we loved it
4.4
location, perfect for 3 people
given the length of our stay we would have appreciated access to a washing machine

Decor was lovely and beds comfortable. Location was convenient to local bus stop so we were able to enjoy getting around to National Trust properties without driving .
Traffic noise from A25 right outside the property. Nothing you can do about that, of course!

Location in the centre of the town was perfect. It was very hot and the large fan was very welcome!
The cottage is on a very busy road so was incredibly noisy. Perhaps that’s the price to pay for being in such a central position! The cottage had all the basics in terms of equipment but only the bare essentials. I did feel there could have been little more in the way of equipment. A cafetière, tray and maybe milk in the fridge!

Very comfortable little cottage .. very nicely renovated & very clean
Sue to location , right on the road was noisy to sleep in main bedroom especially as was hot weather . They did provide a fan which was life saver . Back single bedroom fine though for noise .
Would have liked a bath May & electric kettle . Kettle took to long to boil on hob

the indoor design was lovely and so clean

Great location next door to town centre - walking distance to all the shops and restaurants.
The cooking equipment that come with the place was everything we needed to make a light meal or two.
The place is cosy and comfortable
Lovely host - Laura let us check in early and was very accomodating during our stay.
Nothing I can think of…

It has character - nice old building, exposed beams, but fully up-to-date and well thought out. Cozily warm and comfortable. It is spotlessly clean and Laura is enormously helpful with enquiries.
Nothing.

Cottage was clean and well decorated. Bed was comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. When we contacted the owner to report a leak in the kitchen they came very quickly to resolve the situation.
The cottage was not really suitable for us because of our age. We could not use the kitchen stools so could not eat at the breakfast bar and there was no other table in the cottage except the coffee table to eat from. Also the lack of a bannister on the bottom part of the stairs proved a little difficult. There was also no space to hang our clothes except in the boiler cupboard and there were no working drawers on the dressing table. However, the main problem was the noise from the traffic. The cottage was so close to the road and from early morning to well into the evening we had an enormous amount of large lorries passing by within about three feet from the cottage door. Whilst we knew the cottage was on the road and expected some noise from cars we had no idea that the road was going to be used by such large vehicles and so many so it is not a particularly peaceful location to spend a weeks holiday. Finally, considering the location and facilities available we feel that the cottage was rather overpriced.

traffic noise is the only downfall, couldn't sleep

Lovely village with good pub and restaurants, house was spotless, good sized kitchen, nice living room with Netflix
Very loud - we could only sleep with earplugs. Unbearably hot upstairs but we were there in a heatwave!
4.4
Super cute cottage. Lovely bathroom, excellent bedrooms, kitchen had everything you needed and was in a beautiful little town. Laura was nothing but helpful and accommodating - couldn’t recommend highly enough
Property is on a busy road but only an issue if you’re a light sleeper. We had music on in the background during evening and it wasn’t an issue during that time.

So cute, clean and comfortable! Great for a short stay and everything you need
Parking is a little tricky but this could be as Sunday was so busy in the area, Monday was easier

Beautiful restored cottage, extremely clean, comfortable with a parking voucher provided in a beautiful little town. A lot of to see in a surrounding area. The cottage is in the middle of the town, so easy to walk around, but the price is a traffic noise. Excellent communication with the owner.
Traffic noise
