It was a great place! Nice and clean as well. Close to everything and great places to eat. Not far from the beaches either.

Comfortable, clean, and private. Loved the cornhole boards on the patio. Got great use of these. Jim was lovely. Thanks for a great stay.

There was a second bedroom, but it was locked/closed off. My sister and I had to take turns sleeping on the couch!
The house was really cute, pine paneling, mid-century modern. Very clean. Good cable access. Good selection of magazines, books, & movies. Really appreciated the pamphlets of things to do in the area, however, some were outdated.
The grounds were beautiful and lush.
The roller shades on the windows were too short to cover the entire window and they are not adequate to keep the hot sun from beating in. Not very private either.
The kitchen lacked condiments but had plenty of kitchenware. The mattress on the king bed is a little lumpy.
Lacked: facial tissues, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, notepad and pen.

House very clean. Location near restaurants. Quiet neighborhood. 25-30 min from the beach

We had a great stay. The property is well maintained both inside and out. They have a lot of character with vibrant colors indoors and lots of beautiful flowers outdoors. Very peaceful and quiet!

Perfect for what we needed. The house had cool mid century furniture in it. The yard was beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Very comfortable. Many extras were provided like paper towels, coffee, dish soap, extra towels, wood for fire pit, etc. Spacious, big yard, corn hole game. Only one bedroom was available, but if the second bedroom becomes available it would make a great place for a family. Nice area. Very close to the River House restaurant and walk way along th

The house was very comfortable, and I loved the decor. The yard and gardens are very nice. I had a relaxing stay. Communication from the owner was great.

This is a marvelous cottage, nestled into a residential area in Palmetto, just north of Bradenton, which is just north of Sarasota and the famous beaches (Anna Maria, Longboat Key etc.) Figure a 20-40 minute drive, depending on traffic, time of year and how far south you want to go. (Then again it can take an hour to drive two miles if you're right ON the beach in high season.)
Palmetto is a lovely maritime community of its own,a taste of old Florida, and this cottage is easy walking distance to a beautiful boat dock and a few nice restaurants and shops. The back yard and soaring cathedral ceiling are the glory of this place, which feels spacious but not at all spare. The caretaker and other on-site resident (including one dog) are friendly and so helpful-- the garden is maintained like the Garden of Eden, with edible fruit you're encouraged to eat, herbs and shade trees. A stacked fire pit was waiting at our arrival. Will we be back? You bet we will!!!

Lovely stay at a spacious and private property. The home is amazingly well equipped and looks out onto a garden with fruit trees.
The owner is responsive, helpful and kind. A nice place to land for a few days.

The house and property were very quaint and uniquely appointed. The yard was full of fruit trees and our children loved learning more about them from the property manager. Our only suggestion is to upgrade the mattresses. They felt unstable and bowed in the middle. Otherwise, we’d stay there again. I will say the 10 min drive to the beach was more like 30 min due to Spring Break traffic.

I rented this place for my adult children, who came to celebrate my birthday. They loved the place and the contact person. Everything was great.

From the time we pulled up in the driveway, we loved the property! The property was so inviting, from the beautiful yard with fruit trees, veggie garden and large lawn with a fire pit, to the house which is so calming, with lots of windows to let the breeze and light in. The decor may not be for people that think everything should be new and modern, but it was just beautiful to us. It's a house that was modeled in keeping of it's age...the fifties. Real comfortable furniture, and somewhat modern, but in keeping with the house. Kitchen has brick floors and is equipped with anything you would need to cook with. There were coolers and beach towels there for our use. A covered patio with grills and outdoor games.
The location is easy walking to a marina and beautiful historic homes and easy drive to other attractions.
We all hated to leave and hope to come back soon ! Thanks for having us!
We had such a nice time, really hated to leave but hope to be back soon!

My daughter, Granddaughter and myself so enjoyed this clean, retro decorated house! Living room so open and full of windows. Kitchen is filled stocked. Yard is large and has a fireplace. Patio stocked with yard games and grills for cooking. Plenty of parking space too. The location is safe and walkable to parks, churches, marina and more. Looking forward to staying here again!

My wife and I spent two nights here last week. The property is a mid-century modern house in a convenient neighborhood about 2 blocks north of the Manatee River and convenient to US 41 Business. For point of reference, downtown Bradenton is <5 mins. away across the river; the beach is about 20-30 mins. away, depending upon traffic and time of day.

The host was pleasant and friendly. You can tell that he takes great pride in providing an inviting, clean and delightful environment. I I wish I could've stayed longer.

The home is a quirky mid century modern oasis close to everything. Parks, beaches, Publix. The fires in the firepit were outstanding. The little fresh yellow tomatoes were addicting. The grounds were well kept, lush with local Florida treasures. Outstanding assistance on call with a simple text. I've stayed at many home rentals and this by far met and exceeded all my expectations.

This was the perfect house for our stay. Jim made every step of checking in and staying easy. Great host and loved the uniqueness of the home.

My wife and I were very disappointed in this house. It looks great on the VRBO website, but In actuality the house is poorly lit, the furniture from the sixties is old and unappealing, the bathroom is dated (the drain doesn't work very well), and the yard, while very well kept, needs attractive landscaping. The washer and dryer are located in a crowded work shed outside the house. The caretaker is nice, personable, and responsive, but clearly, the house owner has put little money into the property. We tried to stay away from it as much as possible during our vacation.

This place caught our attention for its fun decor and spacious area. This was great for our family of 3 for a quick getaway. We were warmly welcomed by Jim the property manager that showed us all the house had to offer and was very attentive during our stay. What a treasure he is to have there, as a local that knew all the places to visit based on your interest. Emerson point a short drive was amazing place to see. We cooked a couple of nights and had everything we needed. Short drive to the area beaches Anna Maria Island, Holmes, Coquina and many more. Catching a sunset on Holmes beach was absolutely amazing. The fruit trees on the property were a nice added touch. Fresh tomatoes on our salad and star fruit for breakfast was nice. Thanks again for the hospitality Jim!

The whole process went smoothly with Jim Hawkins, the host, being very responsive and informative. The property itself is a hidden gem ideally located on a very large, lush tropical lot. If you rent the space for you and your family, you will have enjoyed yourself immensely. Five stars!

We were welcomed by the property manager and shown around. We were having my son, his fiance, her kids and parents over to meet for the first time. Plenty of room for entertaining. Best part, Jim, the property manager prepared a fire for us in the backyard. It was perfect and added an opportunity to bond with s'mores!

Absolutely amazing little private getaway. Location couldn’t have gotten any better for all the things we did during our stay. The outdoor area here was an absolutely unique and beautiful. We’ve struggled getting money together for years to go on a vacation and this was the place we decided to stay. Couldn’t have chosen a better place for our first family vacation. It worked perfectly for our 1 year old and 3 year old. It was baby proof from the start.
