Perfect place to stay, every little extra comfort has been thought of. Nice and cosy and great powerful shower. Spotlessly clean too
We were OK with the stairs, we knew beforehand they were a little steep at the top and it wasn't a problem for us at all, but maybe others would struggle a little

It was comfortable and cosy
Very clean and bright the kitchen area and utensils were spotless loved the breakfasts provided and snacks, It’s near to Main Street there is a handy little shop at the bottom of the road. Great view from window
(People have previously mentioned stairs it’s only the last few stairs and yes there is no landing at the door but Emma does state to leave your case at the bottom of the stairs and open the door first plenty of hand rails provided and automatic lighting (but I will say if you have serious mobility issues then it would maybe be a problem )
Nothing to dislike

It was very clean and the host had provided lots of extras to make our stay more enjoyable.
It’s up two flights of stairs.

We've had a wonderful 1-week stay at the Hill View Studio. The trip up the stairs is worth it for the view, which we enjoyed a lot both on sunny and rainy days. Location is great, close to everything but in a street that's not too busy. We are vegan and Emma left such a variety of options for us to have a complete breakfast, we were impressed by this gesture!

Nicely furnished and laid out. Lovely breakfast. Great location.

Hill View Studio was excellent value for money, spotlessly clean and comfortable.
It has all the amenities available to ensure you have a complete self catering experience.
The host is friendly and helpful and she leaves a fine array of different foodstuffs for your stay.
Overall, my experience at Hill View Studio was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other visitors to Hawick.
I cannot fault anything,it was a great place to stay.

The steep stairs leading up to the apartment. Both in 70s. Stairs quite dangerous

Perfect little place - nicely furnished and spotless with a nice peaceful atmosphere and a fine relaxing view across to the wooded slopes at the edge of town and even to the top of the Minto hills (I think!). It's in a traditional Borders tenement-style building but the access stairs were freshly painted and quite light and airy so a nice place to come back to at the end of each day. Felt very spacious and not like the 'studio flat' that I suppose technically it is. Very generous supplies provided for breakfasts.
Communication from Emma was first rate, and when I happened to meet her (I arrived a bit early!) she was as lovely and friendly as I'd imagined. The place is a credit to her.
Liked everything. Couldn't see a potato peeler and masher - but no big deal, as a knife and a fork can do those jobs!

Breakfast was delicious, great base to explore Hawick and the borders. We only had one night but loved the stuidio flat.
Nothing... Liked everything. It was just as described.

Everything, nothing not to like 😊

We loved everything about it. So cosy but also spacious with everything we needed. Emma was lovely and replied quickly when needed. Heating was easy to use, shower was amazing and the bed so comfortable. The breakfast and little extra treats were fab. Everything was delicious. I personally liked the winding stairs, and you can't have a rooftop view without climbing to the top ! So close to town centre but also really quiet with everything you need for longer stay as there are enough shops, restaurants and take aways. We absolutely loved it and so did out little dog! We'll be back 😀😀
There wasn't anything we didn't like. Wasn't really a problem with parking. We got parked in the street most days. Only once we parked in next street but absolutely not an issue. Nothing negative to say.
4.7
A fantastic place to stay. We loved the apartment and would happily stay again on a future visit to Hawick. The studio is comfortable and has everything needed for a visit, long or short. The generous breakfast pack was an added bonus.
4.7
The place is lovely and clean. The breakfast qas a plus to the property.
I wish the bed was a bit bigger.

There were many items of food & drink left. Little packs of cereal + milk. Tomatoes - bread/margarine/fruit loaf. Cheese. Biscuits/crisps. Tins of baked beans . + few other bits. The studio was better than I thought it would be. Quite big & airy. Nice view over rooftops to trees. The double bed very comfy & space to get out near the wall side. There is a blind on the velux window. Very clean.
The entrance through the the ground floor is still being decorated & there is building work happening in the first floor flat. The concrete stairs to the studio are on a spiral, similar to in a castle. There was a handrail near the top but could have done with one on the lower level too. Not for anyone who struggles with stairs. The shower room area is functional but tiny. Could do with a toilet cleaning brush & a hook somewhere would be handy. Also could use a small bin under the sink & perhaps a toilet roll holder.

Fantastic Peaceful little Apartment. Close to the Town yet still quiet enough to chill out. Breakfast Pack was an added Bonus and throughly enjoyable
Nothing.....................No Complaints at all

Stairs might prove hard for some but good exercise for us and the dog!

Park not ideal on the street but would still go again, not a big problem .

very clean, tidy & spacious. everything we could possibly need was there. love the shower, it was hot & powerful.
4.7
The location, amenities and facilities.
The view and the ambience.
The steps leading to the front door were narrow and winding - somewhat hazardous when carrying a large suitcase.
4.7
The guest I placed in Emma's care was over the moon with his accommodation.
4.7
Emma the host was just brilliant from start to finish. The flat had everything you needed and more. Breakfast was excellent.

Super welcoming host who went to huge effort to make the stay special including providing full Vegan breakfast.
The central location was great to visit lots of areas and within a short walk of pubs restaurants and shops.
Nothing !

Breakfast was wonderful! So much variety and a really good amount. The host made herself very available and getting to and into the property was really easy.
It was difficult to park on the street, as most spaces were taken. So I had to park a street or 2 away

i was very surprised by the flat its self. it was far better than i expected. and i will definately be back. it was great for the town centre and for restaurants and bars. and my family and friends were all close by
one thing. the stairs. they were a bit worn near the door but i believe the will be getting fixed.
4.7
This delightful wee flat had everything I needed and many thoughtful touches. It was cosy despite the horrible weather and I loved the views. I also appreciated the breakfasts and the excellent communication with the host. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Wonderful host and brilliant small studio flat. Inside everything you need for a weekend stay or a little longer one (in our case ;) ). Flat was nice and clean, things for breakfast preparation left in the fridge, plus some additional stuff. Very quiet area, close to parks and shops in the town. Good communication to Carlisle and Edinburgh (A7 route). Wonderful surroundings for everyone who wants to visit Scottish Borders.

A cute little studio in Hawick, clean, tidy and all the utilities needed for a 2 night stay.
The host was friendly and accommodating.
The bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was left in the fridge for my 2 days which was lovely !!
4.7
The apartment was in a really good location, only a 10minute walk to the town centre, the flat was in a quiet area. there was plenty of choices with the breakfast supplied by the owner.
The bath towels were a bit small, and the bed could be a bit bigger.[We are used to a bigger bed and my partner nearly fell out on a couple of occasions, Ha Ha)
4.7
The breakfast provided was amazing, we are both gluten free and this was catered for, very good selection. The room was a good size, great location and also pet friendly. The host left out a towel and treats which was very unexpected but lovely. Will definitely book again.
Everything was perfect
4.7
The choices for breakfast were excellent all you could need to start your day. The location was great for what we wanted to do. the apartment was well equipt and the cleanliness was of a great standard.
there was nothing to dislike. Only thing we might have changed was the brightness of the lights.
4.7
Great breakfast items
Only thing I could comment on was a blind would have been useful on the velux window
4.7
A nice studio in a good location. The owner was very helpful and readily contactable. The apartment is a good size and tastefully decorated.
There is no dedicated parking - just the street
4.7
The property met all our needs for a short visit to a friend's wedding. It was comfortable, had more appliances than expected and the host provided a good selection of food for breakfast. We'd certainly be happy to book there again. The host was also informative in a timely manner and prompt to reply to messages.
No complaints.
4.7
Great communication from the owner. Good food package left for the breakfast part of our deal. Good wifi. Netflix free on tv.
The access up the stairs is a little dangerous with no hand rail, especially when carrying cases or shopping.
Parking is difficult, we often had to park well away from the apartment, sometimes in the next street. There are disabled parking bays but not once did anyone display a disabled badge.
