Mosquitoes in room & lukewarm bath water

The room had such a spectacular view and was very nice. The outdoor shower was wonderful. And overall the ground were beautiful. There are definitely mosquitos so bring bug spray. Also recommend renting a jeep to get there. But people did use golf carts/UTVs. But overall this place is spectacular so don’t worry. You will not regret it.
Mosquitoes, no maid service

The views are amazing. The privacy is unreal. Would definitely stay at again!
The communal kitchen was underwhelming. Taxis also don’t like driving up the hill

Amazing set of individual cottages nestled in the high peaks of Culebra with amazing views. Our cabin was very spacious with a modern kitchenette, full-sized fridge, scenic patio, hammock. The cottages varied in size and view, but all appeared well kept and clean. Ours contained a medium sized cooler, beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels for easy use. Convenient to a local market, restaurants, and bars. Flamenco, Tamarindo beaches within short drive, ~5-10 minutes.
A bottle opener in the kitchen drawer would be a lovely addition; otherwise I had to walk ~3 min to the community kitchen to open my bottle. Guests must reserve a means of transportation prior to arriving on the island. Two main rental companies offer Jeeps, UTVs, or souped-up golf carts for local commuting. The drive up the hill is not well marked, so review your GPS maps prior to the drive for familiarity.

We did not like the ambience or the maintenance of the place and also we saw so many lizards around and at least 3-4 inside room which was not comfortable .. I understand we are on a carabian island where we have lizards but not inside the 100 sft rooms they are that tinny ..
When i said we have lizard in the room they said its common you try yourself to take it out ..
Even the kitchen was not clean
AC was not working
It was super hot in the night
And no light for washroom
so we did a check our day early just now 26th Nov 26th 8 am FYI
we booked the stay for 2 days and did check out a day early .. asked them for a partial refund which they did not even bother to give , did not like the service at alllll
Better say in el navneetha or mamaciti in the town and have a great time is my suggestion

I would like to start this review off with how I read reviews, and I had my reservations of this place. I will say some of the reviews… a lack of supplies is true but it doesn’t take away from this place.
I can honestly say, this place is absolutely beautiful! Words can’t describe the view.. it is a quiet secluded place. If you visit the island of Culebra and realize how much work has gone into the Aleli cottages you will appreciate how well they are put together. Bring coffee, if you are visiting during the slow season, buy food, nothing is open on the island. I didn’t see any staff when I was there, but the communication was wonderful. They reserved the jeep through Carlos jeep rental for me. They suggested the grocery store to buy supplies like
coffee and eggs to cook for breakfast. They sent pictures with directions and a door code. Easy and accurate to find on my Apple Maps. I really love this place! Honestly.. this was my favorite part of Culebra.
Just suggestions. A citronella candle would be nice on the patio. The mosquitoes are real out here. There wasn’t a TV but we got over that pretty fast. Better for us my wife and I to reconnect and enjoy each other! But bring bug spray and citronella candle. This isn’t a deal breaker though l. I’d just buy my own. 100% love this place!

Nothing
Everything the host will turn her phone off, check in is past 3pm Amd don't even ask for early check in she will said no. The place is to far from restaurants and the place don't have kitchen. The place is not like it show on pictures is like a box no where to sit only the uncomfortable bed. Oh and they cameras everywhere she knows every step u do, and she will put a bag in the place so u can clean before su leave amd take the garbage to the other side of the complex is ridiculous never ever will recommend this place.she will give u instructions how to check out where and how she want the keys back. The view is not like it show on pictures

Beautiful view, quiet and private bungalow.

The view from above
The confusing way there- the crazy steep road & a black horse that charged at us. There was a brown spider the size of my hand in the shower, small spiders behind the bed by our pillows & a lizard inside.

It’s the best place I ever stay!!!

Only complaint is that there is no shower curtain, so the whole bathroom ends up getting soaked after a shower.

Espectacular views
Only thing I can say the cabin names needs bioluminescence lettering or more lighting it was a bit hard reading the names

The View is beautiful! The place itself is a vibe!! We loved staying there.Just remember you will need a Kawasaki 4 wheeler at least to get up the steep hill.
Too many bugs in the room, on the sheets, and around the door! I have got bug bites and moquito bites all over my legs. The staff is also very rude. We got there late and asked them if we could do a late check out, they straight up said no vs working it out with me.

beautiful location, our cottage was amazing!
Culebra (the Island) is very difficult to get to & not tourist friendly.

The view that offers this place is unbelievable, one of the best locations of culebra. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a quiet night and a perfect coffee morning.
Everything was good. Just let people know that they may encounter some small insects.

Aleli Cottages are an awesome gem on Culebra island. The views are extraordinary. The bed super comfy. Privacy at all times. And the shower!! We absolutely loved staying here.
There wasn’t’ anything we didn’t like. the only thing we would have wished to be there is a little stool or something similar to put our suitcase on.
4.5
The location and view were absolutely beautiful. It felt private and I appreciated the folding chairs that were available to enjoy sitting on the deck and taking in the view.
I didn't realize that the bathroom/shower were separate. This wasn't a problem as it was private not shared but I guess I missed it on the description? Also, the cottage was a little tricky to find.

Amazing views and very friendly staff. They will do anything that you have good vacation.

Very Clean & aesthetic. Beautiful view & grounds.
Could have used a luggage rack. Also no wine opener or bottle opener.

The location, views and comfort of the room were superb. It was nice that they provided beach chairs and coolers.
Wifi did not work in the room so be prepared for limited cell and internet service. There is also no staff present to answer questions.

Culebra is beautiful, and you have magical views all over the island.
The confirmed "villa" is a tiny cabin. The 'restaurant' is a filthy cockroach infested communal kitchen. The descriptions on this and other Web sites are misleading bordering on dishonest. This is not good value. Sunsets are free everywhere!

no mosquitos
the location is hard to reach and I takes great effort to drive there
