About this house rental
This house is located only one mile from Sligo marina and 5 miles from downtown Smithville. No winding and dangerous backroads to get to this perfect vacation spot. The CHL view is of the main channel which includes a picturesque look at Sligo bridge. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood on the end of a cul-de-sac, making it is a very peaceful family retreat.
**Absolutely NO pets for ANY reason. Doing so will result in immediate eviction and zero refund.** The main floor has 2 master suites, and the upstairs includes 3 more bedrooms and a full bathroom. The bunk room upstairs comes with a kids area in adjoining room. For those inquiring on total number of beds, let us break it down for you! There are three bedrooms with king sized beds, a bunk room with two sets of bunks (twin over fulls so 4 beds), and attached to the bunk room is a small gaming room with a twin daybed and trundle (2 beds). Total beds available to sleep on is 9! That’s a lot of beds folks!!
The basement area is the perfect “man-cave” with pool table, wet bar with beverage center, a full bathroom, and a theatre room with Sonos surround sound for your family to enjoy. We have a coffee maker which is a keurig with both a full pot option or single use pods (bring your own coffee).
This house is only a 5 minute drive to Ragland Bottom “beach” swimming area and about a 15 minute drive to the beautiful Burgess Falls State Park. If you want to explore Cookeville for an array of restaurant choices after you explore BFSP, it is only an additional 15 minutes to Interstate Drive followingBurgess Falls Rd into Cookeville.

We were in town for our son’s graduation from MTSU and we came across this perfect gem. The pictures are very accurate and even better in person. We had a wonderful time and we’re looking forward to booking this location again. Everything that you need is already there and if not, Walmart was right down the street. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you’re looking at this place and can’t decide, this was the review you were waiting for… book it!!!

We were three old high school friends who planned a weekend getaway with our teenage children so that we could get some slow down quality time with all of our busy schedules. The house has views from almost every angle, cozy gathering places, and was even decorated for Christmas. We played pool, card games, board games, read books, and watched sports and two movies in the theater room. It was easy to break out into small groups and do different activities but also come together for dinner at the big table at night. The house feels modern and luxurious and peaceful. Would love to come back again in the future!

This our first time at this home. It is absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking! It is stocked very well and the amenities are great. We really enjoyed the game/media room. If you trailer a boat, the boat parking is perfect because it on a dead end street. Distance to Sligo is maybe 5 minutes. We will definitely book again 😊.

Our stay was simply amazing. We wanted something secluded and large enough to accommodate our adult children and grandkids. We were a little reluctant about it being on a cul de sac, thinking we might not be secluded enough-but we were completely wrong. Not only were we secluded, but we were surrounded by so much beauty, outside and inside! This newly remodeled home is stunning and so very accommodating. The theater room, game room, pool table, fire pit were greatly appreciated and used. Having comfy king size beds for all adults was divine! Then…the deck and it’s gorgeous views-breathtaking! We made many family memories that will be forever in our minds and the setting couldn’t of been better. You will love this gorgeous home!

Don’t pass this home up! It has all you can imagine needing or wanting plus a view that their pictures do not do justice. Very private house with easy to access to many boat ramps. Owners are quick to respond to any questions. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious and luxurious. Plenty of room for large family gatherings in great room and kitchen has high end accessories, and bonus basement with pool and game tables and theater room with karaoke. Our family will visit/stay at this home again.

This house has everything you would ever want or need. Awesome view from the living room, kitchen, and deck. The fire pit was great. Plenty of things to do inside the house also. The house was very clean and organized. Communication with the rental manager was great. I would highly recommend this house.

This property was fantastic for my family and I. It was very clean, spacious, luxurious, beautiful and had everything we needed. No one wanted to leave. We’re definitely going to book another stay. We really enjoyed ourselves.

The house was gorgeous, very clean and had a beautiful view. It was so easy to get to which was so nice. We had lots of room for our group of 13 ppl. Our only complaint was the amenities. It was scarcely stocked (things like toilet paper, washcloths) and extras that a lot of rentals have like kcups for the kcup maker werent there.
We only had 1 trashbag but the owner made sure that mistake was fixed which we appreciated.
Overall, we loved it and plan to stay here again next year. We will just have to bring extras next time. It sleeps 12 comfortably but needs to accommodate 12 comfortably as well. I'd recommend they stock with supplies more in the future.

This property is exactly as advertised. Such a beautiful lake home nestled away just far enough to make you feel like no one else is around you but with the comforts of grocery shopping just minutes away if needed.
My wife and I had our 3 kids and granddaughter stay with us at this lake house for a week. We never felt cramped as this home is very spacious and lots to do with the theater room, pool table or card table in the basement.
We can’t say enough about how great our stay was and how accommodating the property owner was. We will back!!!

We had the BEST time here with our church small group for a getaway weekend. The cabin is 10min from the grocery stores which made getting groceries so easy! Be sure to grab firewood/a lighter as well so you can enjoy the amazing fire pit outside! The house was clean and ready to go for our group and we will absolutely be back :)

Every year we look for a place to stay with the entire family for Christmas. Unfortunately, this year we couldn’t get the schedules right but my husband and I loved the lake house. It had everything we needed and wanted. A movie room, a fire pit. A wonderful master bath and bedroom. It was decorated elegantly for Christmas. The most mesmerizing thing about this home was the view. Those views are amazing! We had a wonderful time although it was just us three. Thank you for the memories!

This home had very recently been remodeled when we stayed, and the touches are classy and beautiful. The owners are amazing to work with, and we immensely enjoyed our stay here. Nice level drive if you're hauling boat trailers in every night.

"David, thank you for a truly enjoyable stay at the CHL House. Our family gets together the first of June each year for family time together, we look forward to lots of fun and laughter. We love the Center Hill Lake/ Caney Fork River, it is close enough for all traveling and we have many memorable times out on the water and trout fishing the Caney.
The renovations and updates are spectacular, David and crew you did an excellent job. We stayed here last year, it is hard to believe all the incredible changes made. The overall appearance of the exterior of the house just seemed to frame the lake setting and the see-thru porch rails really enhanced the lake vista, as well. The addition of the theater room and the burn pit made this year's stay a special adventure. At the end of a full day on the water the adults enjoyed relaxing around a crackling fire with a good cigar and plenty of tall tales about the fish that got away. Equally enjoyable, the kids were bundled up with a movie to their liking, honestly most were out like a light in minutes once thy reclined in those huge theater chairs. They were just feet away from us but these separate spaces allowed each of us to unwind the day, in our own way. The wives talked a lot about the new bath decor, paint schemes and furnishings, I'm sure there will be some similar projects on our to-do-list when we get home.
Tremendously well done, our vacation could not have been more enjoyable, we will definitely be back again next year.

Beautiful & quiet location. Was perfect for our family of 6. Everyone had their own space & we enjoyed playing pool & poker. Loved having coffee on the balcony in the mornings with the spectacular view! We didn’t want to leave! Hopefully we can come back next year.
