Beautiful location, large yard and deck space. Very relaxing.
5.0 / 5.0
The sunsets were beautiful and were the highlight of the location. Lots places to gather outside to sit on decks around fire, eat, lounge and visit. The property manager was friendly, informative, and ready to help with anything we needed.

Amazing views, saw the bald eagles soaring and landing on nearby tree. So much great stuff for kids (t ball, bug nets, hammock, toys, dress up clothes). We had kids ranging in ages from 1-6 and everyone had a blast. Stocked kitchen with kid plates, high chairs and crib available. One bedroom was more of a sunroom so wouldn’t fit an adult comfortably, but good for older kids.

Photos don’t do justice to the beauty of this property. Bald Eagle visited regularly out back with a view of the ocean/sound that wraps around. Loads of space and everything you might possibly want in a house. Effective AC although the breeze was usually sufficient to make us comfortable. 8 min to a good grocery store and a very tranquil setting…I believe that’s downtown Vancouver visible to the distance on the right? Thanks to our hosts for a memorable stay.

The location was amazing, beautiful sunsets overlooking the water. Well stocked with every kitchen necessity. Children’s toys, lots of places to hang out, play cards. Beautiful gardens with hummingbirds and bald eagles in the trees. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We rented this property for our small wedding and it was absolutely perfect!! The house and grounds are beautiful! It was large enough for us to be there as a family and enjoy the home and the views the day before, and after our wedding. The views are incredible and during our ceremony, the resident Eagle flew over! During the reception, we spotted whales, which was amazing. The house has every amenity, and I can't say enough about the owner and manager who were so amazing and helpful and went above and beyond to help answer questions or provide things and ideas to help make our day perfect. I highly recommend this property! Romantic getaways, family holiday, wedding day :) or an amazing escape from your everyday life! This place is perfect! I will be recommending it to all of my friends and family!

The house is amazing, huge back yard with an ocean view, well furnished with everything you need. Great location, quiet and peaceful.
Lorri and Chris were great hosts, providing us with all information and constantly following up on our stay. Will definitely be back!

This is such an awesome property. We had the best family time. The owner thought of everything. Fully stocked with anything and everything you would ever need. Attention to every detail.

Absolutely gorgeous! Comfortable, cozy, spacious, the host has thought of everything! The sunsets are literally to die for! We all felt so pampered! Would love to come again!

This was just what we were looking for, an ocean view and plenty of room for the family. The house is well stocked with supplies. The host was always courteous and wanted to make sure our stay had no problems. We saw several eagles during our stay.

A beautiful home in a quiet beautiful location. The kitchen is very well supplied and everything was very clean and well supplied.
Two bedrooms are spacious and suitable for couples. The third is good for children. Other beds are sofa beds in living room and toy room.

The house and grounds are splendid. The owner and property manager went out of their was to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. They even put up Christmas decorations for us! The house has a large kitchen, TONS of cookware, serving plates, dinner plates and flatware. The online photos are accurate; there is plenty of common-area seating for family get-togethers. The master bedroom upstairs is HUGE! The location is very quiet with a view of the bay where you can look through the binoculars to see ships coming and going from Vancouver BC. I would stay here again, for sure.

The house is showing its age and is definitely smaller than what we’d figured. It worked for our purposes but if we’d planned on any more adults it would’ve been tight. The lot is beautiful and the view of White Rock, BC and Point Roberts is spectacular. Agent had great communication throughout.

Where do I start, this home was beautiful! The house inside and out was an amazing and the views off the bay were out of this world. Also, huge shout to Lorri for being a great host. You won’t be disappointed!

Our group consisted of two couples and our dogs staying here for a long weekend. We were immediately impressed by the expansive west-facing water views and the large, lush green yards for our dogs to roam. The house is comfortable with lots of cozy places to sit. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were quite comfortable and lots of throw blankets and dog towels. Loved the wood-burning outdoor fire pit and the propane gas fire tabletop.

Great house to have large group. We had a pod of about 6 killer whales swim by to say hello !

From the very beginning, we were blown away by this vacation rental, Sunset Escapes. The property manager was extremely friendly, kind, and communicative from the start. When we arrived, we were surprised as we drove up what can only be described as magical enchanted forest to a gorgeous home. When we walked in, we were shocked at how big the property was. There was so much room! Truly, the photos don't do this place justice and as we settled in, there were surprises around every corner. Not only was it warm, cozy and made us feel right at home, the place was stocked with everything we could possibly want. The cupboards were stocked, there were so many plates and glasses for large meals, a trunk full of costumes, a hammock, a covered nest chair for lounging on the deck, board games, a BBQ, Pac-Man, a popcorn machine, a basket full of hats, and so many yard games including Croquet. The decor was incredible and this is so much more like a boutique rental than your typical bare rental property. When we got to the master suite we were blown away. There was a gorgeous balcony with an amazing view and a fire-pit, a coffee machine, mini fridge, fireplace, and reading nook. I could not speak more highly of this space and anyone who is lucky enough to stay here will absolutely love it. We are already planning our next visit to our new home away from home.

It was perfect! Seriously! I never write reviews but this was such an awesome time. Our group consisted of 30+ age with a couple old ladies (sister get together) attending a wedding in Bellingham. I couldn't get myself off the back deck long enough to really enjoy the beautiful house so it's a definite we are all going back. Kitchen can cover just about any size group but make sure you bring your own condiments and coffee accoutrements. Make sure you're up early to enjoy coffee on one of the back decks and that you're back home to watch the sunset! Just when you thought you'd see the MOST perfect one...the next day is going to be even more perfect. Skyline changes throughout the day with beautiful hummingbirds, sea lions, dragonflies and of course the resident eagle! Try to get to "downtown" Blaine and have Lorri hook you up with a boat ride. We went out to the Canadian side and watched a sunset from the boat but I personally thought it was a better view from the house. Bring your wine and cocktails for the boat ride. After dark enjoy more wine and cocktails at the fire pit on the deck or in the backyard. I'm a propane kind of woman. I can't upload pictures but go to their Facebook page. I'm going to send some there. We are the "ATX" group!!!! I'm almost out characters so I'll just say again OMG we really enjoyed. And Lorri...you're awesome!

This house was perfect for our family stay (2 adults, 2 kids). Great location, comfortable rooms and amazing view. Very relaxing and peaceful setting. The driveway was easy to navigate as well, with a nice turn around. Excellent service from property staff. I highly recommend this for your stay in Birch Bay / Blaine.
5.0 / 5.0
The location and views are unbeatable and the house has tons of sleeping space. We were just 4 people which meant everyone got their own sleeping space. There's enough kitchen utensils for pretty much any meal setting.
Would not hesitate to stay here again!
Would absolutely stay here again.

The view and sunsets are stunning. Roomy upstairs master bedroom will sleep 2-3 in one large bed, and the smaller, garden bedroom downstairs (sleeps 2) are perfect for overnights. Other sleeping accommodations are less comfortable. The layout of the house allows formal dinners indoors or outdoors with easy access to the kitchen. The wood fire pit on the lawn is conducive to s'mores and late night conversations. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and serving.
(Caution: the hot water tap is scalding. Ask the owner to lower the temperature.)
Rustic toys of a great variety crowd the old outdoor toy bin and indoor toy area - we found an old badminton birdie and some old rackets and had a lot of fun with those. The back lawn is big enough for some fun play. The bathroom facilities are good, and the whole place has a sweet feel to it. We found excellent trails and places for beach visits within a10-minute drive. We are grateful for the friendliness of the hostess.

The house was nice and the water view excellent. We made s’mores around the fire pit, which the kids loved.

Beautiful location and property for a girls weekend. Great view and we definitely say many eagles and hawks. Definitely recommend.

The person was very communicative. She texted back to me whenever I asked a question. When the power was gone she tried to help us in some ways. There was a generator in the garage but we couldn’t get to take it. The garage door was locked. At least there were woods for the fireplace.
I used the washer but the dryer didn’t work .When I needed a dish soap I was provided .Also there were some items-clothes left in the house so she grabbed for me and then kept them. Then she let us to pick them up later on. It was such a nice act. By the way the house was not big enough for 15 people. The living room was full of furniture which does not give enough room. The kitchen area was good and had a dinner table.

The owners were very helpful with any questions during our stay and especially in regard to local restaurants and must-see sites. The home is extremely cozy with fireplaces on both floors to keep you warm thru the night. Great kitchen for those who love to cook with all the utensils provided. Hummingbirds and Bald eagles are the entertainment as you enjoy the view to the rear of the house, which will leave you breathless. Very peaceful neighborhood for those looking for that special get away. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Well worth the money spent.

We came here to stay and host our Grandmother's 90th birthday. The hosts were kind enough to allow us to hold the occasion on their property. Lots of rooms and places to comfortably sleep 9-13 adults.
The backyard has an amazing view of the sunset and ocean. It is constantly visited by humming birds and eagles on one of the neighbouring trees.
10/10 and highly recommend this host and location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here- the house is well equipped, and the view is amazing. Loved relaxing on the deck and in the back yard. We had a slight problem connecting to the wifi, but the owners were extremely prompt to help us fix it, and after that it worked great. Highly recommend!

This was a lovely house, fully equipped with everything. We appreciated the spices in the cabinets and abundant dishes and silverware. Very kid friendly. Beautiful views
This property is gorgeous!! The views out of both decks was so beautiful. The property is great for families. A lot of birds especially hummingbirds. Also saw their resident eagle in a tree, it was very cool. Especially loved the upstair master bedroom. It had a lot of amenities and the deck off the master was so nice. Communication was very easy and the host was very responsive with any questions that we had. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Sweet sunset home
This lovely house is just as pictured and kept super-clean. We loved the house but ended up having to leave early after my child had an allergic reaction to something. The owner went above and beyond in trying to help us find a new place and making the situation work for us. I so appreciate the responsiveness, kindness, and generosity. Thank you!!!

Slice of paradise on the bay
Cozy (yet spacious) home right on the bay. Good size yard, with a view that can't be beat. Bedrooms were clean and comfy. Well equipped kitchen. Little touches (like binoculars for bird watching) made our stay memorable for adults and kids alike. Owners were very friendly, accomodating, and responsive. Would love to stay again sometime!

Beautiful home and beautiful views. This House has everything. You may have forgotten something, if you did you will find what you left at this House. Very comfortable and relaxing. Nice kitchen, dinning area. Again, this House has everything you need. Will definitely go again. A large number of people can easily feel comfortable. The view of the Ocean, the Eagles, beautiful. Binoculars located generously throughout the House. Very nice and enjoyable stay. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful time and the owner/manager was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend. Note for small children - there are a lot of fragile knick-knacks that we just stored in the closet for our stay.
