Following the directions to this condo was difficult, and then the unit is on the bottom level of the multi condo building, with wooden steps going down. The condo needs updating and some repairs, but was clean and comfortable. From the large picture window could look out onto an open slope, a very large porch facing towards the ski area, would be nice in the summertime.

The good: the unit was clean and provided what we needed i.e. kitchen utensils and towels etc.
Not so good: the mattresses were uncomfortable, the futon for a couch was very uncomfortable at best and other than dining room chairs there was no other place to sit, the unit was in need of some serious updating. Was ok for 3 guys on a ski trip. NOT ski out, ski in by condo trail when there is sufficient snow. Plan to drive to parking lot or use the shuttle.

small 3br condo - very dated interior and needs more comfortable seating in the living room and better lighting at the least (especially for peak ski season pricing) The location is good for skiers as long as there's enough snow :)

Very close to mountain, easy to find and great check-in process.

The home was under construction and I had to be relocated. I was doing back and forth with Vrbo and Vacasa. Vrbo offered no support and deferred to Vacasa and Vacasa called and eventually found another location that was next to active construction and har no parking until late at night when construction finished. Was texting back and forth with a Vacasa rep who just stopped replying.

The place is in a great location of beautiful sugar bush. Enjoyable staying there even that we were not able to use the closets. We couldn’t open them or they were full with stuff. Besides this everything else was wonderful!

The deck.
This place is much smaller than and ramshackle than the pictures. Outlet hanging off of wall, slanting bed, drawers in hallway bath sticking out at weird angles, power strips and wires trailing everywhere, blew a fuse the second light switch we tried, closet door fell off hinges as soon as I tried to open it… There were just two of us in this 3 bedroom for two nights and we used the living room/dining area as our closet because it was easier to have our suitcases open on the floor because that was the only room you had any space to maneuver.
The building number is not marked, and we called for further directions, and ended up speaking with somebody with a heavy accent that didn’t have any better tools, and we did, and the location is not marked correctly on maps. So there was absolutely no local support as Vacasa advertises. The guy said we would get a call back shortly from someone else, we didn’t hear from that person until the next morning (in the meantime, we did figure it out and got into the unit).
I’ve rented through VRBO and Airbnb, many times, and always found the places to be exactly as represented. This place was represented as basic, which was all we needed for two nights. I was shocked—it’s a dump and I’d be surprise if the plexiglas shielding the wall behind the wood-stove could pass.

The condo could have been cleaner.....spider webs and spider in the bathroom and living room. No air conditioning and the 2 spare bedroom windows did not open, in fact, one was broken. Needs updating....spare bedroom beds were not comfortable.

We still had a great time but this room was a bit disappointing. It is in need of some updates. The heat was baseboard in each room. My hairdryer broke and tried to contact someone because the one in the room was very old and did not work. 2 lamps in the master bedroom did not work and only one plug in the room way across the room was there with an anciently old nonworking extension cord. Tried to contact someone no response. Our flight got cancelled came a day late tried to call and only could get on hold forever line. I had to hang up on it twice after almost 30 min holds. Got a text message about if the room was clean and responded back with issues in the room with no response. The sliding glass door had a retractable blind that had many missing pieces so could not close for privacy. Neighbors very loud last morning throwing boards off the roof from above us to the ground doing construction very disturbing. Baseboard heater blowing heat directly on a plug on the wall in my son’s room where he was charging his cell phone seemed like a fire hazard. No pot holders in the kitchen to get anything out of the oven had to use a towel from the bathroom. There was a phone number for emergency issues and non emergent issues nobody could ever be reached for non emergent because of long hold times. Also no curtains in the 2 other bedrooms. Could not use blowdryer in bathrooms plug was ancient and attached to the light above mirror so modern hairdryer plugs just do not fit it.

not in the best shape
Unit was rather run down. Bath in the master bedroom would not empty, so was out of commission for most of our stay. The other two bedrooms had bunk beds but no guard rails so we were afraid to let our kids sleep in them.

Very clean but dated
Very clean, well located, and quiet.

Fall Trip to Vermont
We enjoyed renting this property with its unique view of the Sugarbush resort runs.
The unit was very clean, but could use some updating. The master bed was only a single mattress and so we took the mattress from the third bedroom bunk bed and doubled it up. Overall though a good experience!

As advertised
Place was as advertised. Fairly dated and worn, but clean. The beds were comfortable enough and the kitchen was completely stacked. All things equal, location, location, location.

Great Location
Three of us loved staying at Trailside Retreat. It's in a beautiful spot, close to the towns of Warren and Waitsfield. We actually had a bear walk by our window one night.

Could be so much better
This review is for a month long stay - wouldn't be so picky on a weekend getaway. Place is actually ski in / out. We had to figure that out on our own, wish we had been told and we would not have driven the first few ski days. The place needs to be cleaned out of all the junk, closet full of it and we could have stored ski gear in there. Refrigerator is tilted so the door does not stay open and the ice leaks out of the trays and down into the fridge and out onto the floor. We had to buy a peeler, knife and there was no sheet pan. Microwave and toaster took twice as long as it should. Everything else was fine. Futon is only seating for TV and got old for such a long stay. A weekend would be just fine. The master bath tub clogged almost every use, toilets needed to be flushed twice every time. Decor looks like stuff people have left there - just needs to be cleaned out and spruced up. You need to bring your own firewood. A few hundred dollars on a plumber and some HomeGoods decorations and appliances and it would be a completely different place. Our contact was fabulous and it was definitely clean!!
