Nestled on the beautiful banks of the Blanco River is Wimberley’s Frog Cottage. This charming cottage is the perfect riverfront getaway. Enjoy stepping out onto your very own back porch to beautiful oaks and stunning views of the river. Frog Cottage offers the peacefulness of the hill country and the tranquility of the river. Only a hop skip and a jump away is Wimberley's town square with its charming shops and restaurants.
Enjoy the beautifully decorated french country cottage that will host up to six people. This property has all the amenities one could possibly need. Beautiful wood floors,unique rock work and stunning furnishings along with views of the river throughout the cottage.
Revel in an inviting full kitchen stocked with all the necessities one could need. There you will find state of the art appliances and plenty of counter space as well as a spacious dining area to enjoy your meals with family and friends as well as the views of the Blanco river.
In this darling cottage there are two large bedrooms each with their own pleasing design. The master hosts a king size bed and full bath with shower and has a beautiful fireplace, (decorative only - sorry no indoor fires here). The fireplace kept from the original house dates back to the early 20’s is a unique piece of history. This room was expertly decorated with a great mix of old and new decor. Sleep soundly in this retreat with designer linens and the peaceful sounds of the hill country. Be greeted with a burst color in the second room with its beautiful sunny decor and soft linens. In this room you will find a queen size bed and one trundle bed perfect to sleep four. The second bathroom is also very roomy, with a bathtub and shower combo and lots of counter space.
Outside this cottage is where you will want to spend most of your time. With your own spectacular private river access, spend the day swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing on the large porch that looks out onto the river. Grill up your favorites on the large outdoor grill. This space hosts a roomy dining area with lots of fun, unique seating. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal or just kick back and read a book.
With Wimberley only a few minutes away, enjoy the delicious restaurants as well as the charming shops. Blue Hole Regional Park is also located very close as well as many wineries. If you enjoy hiking there are many trails in the area. Take a drive to Canyon Lake and rent a boat or jet skis for a fun afternoon, or explore New Braunfels and Gruene for a fun day trip.

We had a great stay at this property. Much more spacious than the pictures made it look. Beautiful property, lots of room outside. Kids had a great time swimming in the river and feeding the deer. Loved how it felt isolated but very close to town.

We love the location and views at Frog Cottage. During our stay we made quick trips to the Guadalupe River and Schlitterbahn along with enjoying Wimberley. It was a perfect central location. We will stay there again!

Property was a cute little cabin in Wimberly next to the Blanco River. Perfect size for what we needed; nice and clean. The neighbor is super close and probably the only (very minor) concern when you bring a kiddo with you.

The property was great, very relaxing and plenty of space.
Access to the lake was challenging ... due to the drought the water was very low. I don't know what the "usual" depth of the river is, but it was slow and it didn't flow. So that was disappointing, but it's not the fault of the property owners.
I would suggest they add better photos of the river access to give an accurate depection of the river as it normally looks so guests can be prepared for the typical river access.
We were not able to easily get in the water without slipping and cutting our feet. I'd just recommend prior to booking to discuss with owner the status of the river near the time of the booking.
Otherwise great property! Beautiful grounds as well.

Time to catch up on life with friends sitting on deck in the evenings and enjoying the several hang out rooms inside. Large windows make the river seem close. And at night the lightening bugs covered the outside. Close enough to Wimberley to shop and eat a leisurely late lunch. But sitting on the back deck for wine and appetizers and sharing was the best.
A storm went through out 2nd night downing leaves and large limbs. The owners cousins stopped by and even blew off the deck so we could sit outside that last evening.

Perfect house to stay in for a visit to Wimberley. Very close to town square but has a secluded feel and is quiet with a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed watching deer every morning and evening from the deck and generous windows. This house was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with the items needed to cook meals. All of the decor added to the charm of this house we would stay in again without hesitation.

I’m still on cloud nine from our weekend In Wimberley and staying at Frog Cottage. This was our second stay at the property and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. The house is ideal and located within walking distance of downtown Wimberley. The property the house is on is out of a dream -deer grazed on the lawn in the morning light. Hawks flew over head at dusk. I would never imagine staying anywhere else when in Wimberley. Can’t wait to go back!

Oh I love this house. Its not that far from Wimberly, Right on the Blanco river. And everything about this house is so beautiful ,the decorations ,the way the house was set up .Away from the city and the noise. And had no problem communication with renter. Love the deck thats were we were at most of the time lol.Will be coming again and hopefully this cute little charming house will be available .Loved seeing the deer in the morning come through the yard to.Thank yall again for letting us stay

Great place would stay there again.
Master bathroom the ledges all need to be cleaned very dusty cobwebs killed 2 spiders cob webs under sink. Under the bed is dirty. Some if the screens outside have a lot of cobwebs just needs to be brushed off with a broom. There was a bowl under sink in kitchen with some pods hope they were for the dishwasher there was no lable
It may say under the description of the property about deer. They are everywhere and beautiful but I think people probably need to be told they are there and to watch for them when driving down the drive way because they will jump out in front of your car.
Would have been nice to have a throw blanket or two in living room

Stayed with my Mom and 3 sisters at the Frog Cottage for a quick trip to get away and enjoy the cute little town of Wimberley. From the moment we drove up, we were awed with the beauty of the surroundings and privacy. The best part of this cottage is the gorgeous large backyard backing up to the Blanco River! The old, huge trees are beautiful and provide lots of shade to be able to sit out on the big deck and enjoy the views of the river and the family of deer that visits each day. The gentle sloping lawn allows for easy access to the river. While waters levels are low right now, we got lucky because the river area in the back of the cottage has a deep swimming hole, as well as shallow areas to rest in. The cottage itself was very clean and cool and felt very cozy and safe. The comfortable beds were also a plus! The town square is close, but there are no sidewalks to get there, so sneakers are recommended in order to walk there. Be sure to bring water shoes and noodles to float on in the river. Great getaway!

Two of my life-long friends met me at Frog Cottage to celebrate my birthday. The house and location were perfect. Beautiful decor, comfy beds, and a great river front view. We sat on the deck for hours in the morning with our coffee and again in the evening. Very relaxing stay! I hope to be back.

If you’re going to Wimberley this is the home you must rent. Located just off the Main Street in downtown Wimberley you get the best of both worlds- ability To walk to everything (although would not recommend at night in the dark) and the feeling of being on the river and worlds away from it all. The home was thoughtfully decorated and had everything we could need. The property is incredible- the view of the river and the space around is just gorgeous. I will definitely be going back!

2 couples stayed in the Frog Cottage last weekend and it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the fire pit both nights the drive into Wimberley proper was about 2 or 3 minutes and we could have almost walked to the wedding venue we visited at the Water's Point. The management staff was terrific and even helped us with a maintenance request at 5 or 6 o'clock on Friday. My wife commented that she would like to come back in the hot weather when we can actually get in the river, which we were right in front of. The nearby road is very noisy but you can tone it out after a little while. This property is wonderfully set up and very relaxing. My only recommendation would be that the exterior of the house needs a deep clean.

Great house close to downtown
We stayed 3 nights at the Frog Cottage. It was little hard to locate at first down a private road but once you are there it feels very remote despite being just a very short distance to downtown Wimberley. The house was great, clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck looking at the river and the wildlife. We hope to return again soon.

We loved staying here! The property was beautiful and the river was just a short walk away. You feel like you are out in nature, but are so close to the town square. It is the perfect mix of privacy and being around everything. There is a property close to it, but when we stayed there the other place was empty.

Wonderful with Issues
Overall we had a fun time at the home. Very cute house and the river below was so relaxing. We changed the number of guests from 5 to 6 after my son was able to come. There is a total of 6 beds. Upon arrival one of the beds had no sheets or linens. We contacted the property company. They responded but with no solution. We looked for sheets everywhere. None were to be found. Not the biggest deal, but paying for a sixth person and not having an adequate bed to sleep in was disappointing. Probably would not say again.

We had a wonderful time with friends in the Frog house. Nice bedrooms and living room. We had everything we needed. We were disappointed the bedroom tv didn’t work and we wished the cleaning crew had hosed off the deck chairs. Loved that there was a washer and dryer. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and watching the wildlife in the river.

Perfect location
Frog cottage was spacious and had an interesting layout as if the house had been expanded in stages. Having our own private river access was wonderful. Conveniently close to Wimberly Square. My only concern was the 9-10 cars that showed up immediately next door on our last morning. I don't think it would have been as relaxing with that many people next door.
