About this house rental

Quiet family & dog friendly home on Lake Hartwell with a large deck and two level boat dock. Very deep water (23 feet at dock when lake is full) means not worrying about summertime water drops and no touching your feet on the bottom when swimming and no muddy water! Two jet ski ports for keeping your water craft out of water and secure during your stay. Bring your boat too, there is plenty of room to tie up to the dock! There is a small boat ramp that is located in same cove and very easy to get to (Port Bass boat ramp). The spacious upper dock is furnished with cushioned furniture and sunshade. Kayaks are also available to be used to explore our large and quiet cove. The large 20'x30' deck overlooks the lake while keeping dogs and small children secure with gates and fencing. Multiple tables with sunshades, grill, and mosquito lamps will keep you comfortable while grilling out lunch or dinner. Full size washer and dryer along with two full size refrigerators. In addition the house is equipped with central air and satellite TV. Master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds, and living room has a queen size pull out sofa bed. Concrete parking area is 35'x50' so there is room for your vehicle and trailer. Fast fiber WiFi included. There are multiple State and Federal parks in the area with hiking and biking trails. We are only 30 minutes to Clemson University and one hour to University of Georgia.

We are about a 10 minute boat ride to Harbor Light Marina where there are boat rentals available. There is also a lakeside restaurant, Tilly's, there at the marina that we love to take a quick boat ride for a bite to eat and a cold beer. Level 2 car charger available.

This was a great place, it was just as described. We would definitely recommend. My two teenage boys loved jumping and swimming from the dock. The water was very clean and deep off the dock.

we had a great Stay at this property. We were able to bring our boat and put it in just down the street from the house. The dock is great and is equipped with lifejackets for humans and dogs of all sizes. The house is not huge, but has a large back deck that is perfect for spending time with family away from the water. There were two fridges that made it easy to shop and prepare meals each day and there were basic essentials in the spice cabinet and fridge that were available to to use. The have everything you need to cook and prep there. Our hosts were very communicative and available if we had any questions. Would definitely come back!

Owners were great and communicated with us and check to make sure our stay was perfect. The dock is huge with the upper deck and has very deep water at it. House has a great AC and the water pressure in the shower is to die for. Great place for a small family.

Everything was great! The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 and the dog :) The view is so pretty and we loved being able to jump in the lake and to use the floats at the house to relax on the water. It was also so nice that there were a few great restaurants just a few minutes from the property. We also went to a game at Clemson, it was a 30-35 min easy, stress free drive. Our dog loved the cottage too. The surmise was amazing from the swing on the dock!! TY!

We had a great week at the beautiful lake! Loved the dock, the deck, and the great AC inside! The only thing I missed was a dishwasher, but it was a nice big sink to wash our dishes in. It didn’t limit our fun at all. It was one of the better equipped kitchens we’ve had in rentals as well. The two refrigerators came in super handy, used one for drinks and one for food. The floors are super pet friendly as well. We would definitely stay again!

We love this house. This is our 3rd summer staying here. The house is clean and extremely well-stocked with kitchen items, towels, and bedding. The double-decker dock is great and we really enjoy swimming from the dock. Great place to hang out and have fun with our family!

Cute, cozy, clean! This property was everything we were looking for in our getaway. The house was fully stocked with everything needed to be comfortable for the week and the dock was an amazing place to relax all day - so quite and peaceful. Great location on the lake to get in and out of in boat. The owner was fantastic to communicate with and went above and beyond to meet our needs!

We had an amazing week at this like property! The area was quite and the house was a perfect fit for us. My husband and I took 4 girl to the lake and we all enjoyed ourselves. They were able to have their own space to stay up and laugh while we enjoyed our peaceful rest. The dock was very nice and our host were great to work with. They went over and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. I highly recommend this rental!

We all had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for us. It had all we need it. The dock was secluded and away from the main channel. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. We caught lots of fishes. Jumping out of the dock second floor was awesome as well. We will rerun next year. Also, it was nice to include our dog in this vacation.

Beautiful lake house. We had an amazing time enjoying the lake - floating, fishing, paddleboarding. They provide several floats, kayaks and a row boat. So nice to be able to bring our dog along to enjoy! The house is very clean and fully stocked with all the essentials. The owner is very pleasant and responds immediately to any questions/concerns. My husband is recovering from cancer treatments, and this beautiful lake retreat was just what the doctor ordered! We Highly recommend.

Check in great the host was great on recommendations for restaurants. House clean very well stocked. Nice neighborhood quiet road. Lake wasn't real busy during the week. The surrounding neighborhood left a little to be desired. Not the hosts fault seemed to be the normal for that area. Overall a great get away after we both had long weeks of work prior to.

First, the owner was great and kept in contact with us during our stay. It’s a nice clean cottage and has everything you need. Having laundry on site was great. My kids loved it! The never left the dock and really enjoyed the kayaks.

Communication was EXCELLENT! The waterfront decks, kayaks, and view provide a fun and relaxing time! House was clean and well furnished with all that we needed. Only issue we had was walking our little dog … several big loose dogs in neighboring areas scared us but we just got in our car and drove to the State Parks and Botanical Garden nearby.

We had such a lovely time staying at this cozy lakeside getaway on Lake Hartwell! Peter was a stellar host and checked in regularly. The house was just as described and very comfortable. We loved the deck and enjoyed most of our meals there. The two story dock was awesome and where we spent most of our time! Loved the deep water and enjoyed swimming and all the included goodies—like life vests, floaties of all kinds, and even a kayak! We’re already planning our next trip to this very special place! Thanks for everything, Peter! You made our stay extra special!

This house and grounds were fantastic! Even thought it is only 2 bedroom, the outdoor space is wonderful which makes it feel so much bigger. We utilized the gazebo on the dock to drink coffees in the morning and the spacious deck for dinners. The deck has a secure gate to keep in dogs and children which helped tremendously. Communication was great. We've already talked about coming back here for another short trip or girls weekend.

I rented this property for a surprise 50th birthday trip for my sister and we were all very impressed. The owner was so easy to get in touch with and would even text to make sure we were happy. They had plenty of towels, kitchen items, and the beds and furniture were nice. The property itself was amazing and the lake was warm and so calm. I can't think of one complaint.

This was our second time renting this house, and we really enjoyed our stay there. The house was very clean, and there were plenty of extra towels and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked, with a huge kitchen sink and large island. Having two refrigerators was very convenient. The living room furniture was very comfortable, with plenty of room for our family of six. We really enjoyed eating our meals out on the deck, and cooked many of our meals on the large gas grill. Down the hill from the deck is a nice firebowl, and we brought a few extra folding chairs to accommodate our family of six. The best part of all was the dock! It has a great ladder for easy access to the lake, and the upper level is perfect for relaxing, listening to music, playing cards, and having some great family time. We wil definitely be back!

Peter was very proactive with communication. He contacted me before we arrived and after to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was as pictured. It was clean and cozy. The large deck was excellent, we ate our meals under the very large table umbrella. The cushions for the chairs are kept inside so they were clean to sit on. The dock has a nice ladder with wide steps for easy access to the lake. It was quiet on the cove during the week and only a few boats and wave runners on the weekend. We used the kayaks to explore but most of the time we floated on the lake. Peter has a wide range of sizes for life jackets for adults, kids and your fur babies. We took both of our doodles and they loved it! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals. We played games in the evening and was able to watch a movie one night. It was a very relaxing week for our family. We loved it!

Had a great time. Brought my pontoon and the Port bass boat ramp right around the corner. A small ez ramp. The double deck dock is nice and docked the boat with no problems. We enjoyed swimming at the dock. Has a easy ladder to get in and out. Lots of floats available. Had our Boston and she like floating too. Nice big deck at the house. I liked the big sofa and TV area. Communications with host very good. This is more on the private side of Lake Hartwell. So boating traffic was not as busy. Coming back for sure!
