un engano, deberian de devolveer el dinero, no correspondia ni con la foto , no eran dos camas, era una encajonada entre las paredes, lavabo manos en la habitacion y el vater y ducha era tan pqueno k ni se cabia. una verguenza

Hotel très défraîchi, chambre minuscule et salle de bain vieille et minuscule. Mur très fins, la porte d'entrée reste ouverte donc très bruyant. Quelle déception au vu du prix!!

ALERTA, engaño. WARNING, deception

A pesar del mal aspecto del establecimiento y de la lamentable relación calidad precio, se duerme bien. Los clientes no hacen ruido (al menos durante nuestra estancia de dos noches) y la calle es tranquila.

El hotel te exige pagos indebidos fuera de tu contrato con Booking. Te hacen creer que hay tasa por electricidad y turismo distintas de lo firmado con booking (que te especifica en su contrato dos euros y pico). Tuvimos que pagar 53 euros más aparte de los 170 por las dos noches. La estrategia consiste en decir que tienes que alquilar un ventilador, ofrecerte una "cuadra" de dormitorio sin espacio para dejar siquiera los equipajes y de este modo intentar que te conformes con otra similar pero con algo de ventilación y algún espacio para equipajes. Todo por 15 euros más por noche. Del supuesto "baño en la habitación" os dejo mi teléfono y lo hablamos, mejor será. Sólo que sepáis que la ducha perdía por todos sitios y que la cisterna se rompió durante la estancia (por supuesto ni pedimos ayuda, nos apañamos con un cubo que llenábamos en la ducha). Por cierto, Tossa de Mar es precioso, un lugar alucinante, aunque muy turístico, obviamente.

Último recurso en temporada alta si se desea buena ubicación.

Lo mejor del Hostal es la ubicación, muy céntrico en el pueblo y cercano a la playa.

Habitaciones muy pequeñas, cama correcta, pero baño sucio con restos de botellas de champús y gel casi vacías de otros huéspedes. A pesar de que informan de que cobran obligatoriamente 5e por electricidad + 5e por ventilador no me parece correcto ya que es una manera de que parezca más barata la habitación cuando realmente debes sumar 10e fijos. Realmente el precio sólo es justificable por la ubicación y por ser temporada alta.

Une taxe demandée et obligatoire de 5€par personne sur l’énergie consommée en plus de la taxe journalière. Pas de serviette de bain, ni savon, rideau de douche moisi , robinet de douche défectueux, chambre de 3metres,20 par 2metres 30 pour 4 couchages aucun espace pour circuler , taxe à payer en plus pour activer la télévision . L’accueil a été à la hauteur du descriptif de l’établissement

Extra taxes and extras to be paid once you arrive. Not all of these were disclosed in the advert before booking. Furthermore, for someone who doesn't travel and use hotels a lot, every single hotel or hostel that I've ever stayed in had WiFi, electricity and a fan (if applicable). This place is absurd as they somehow try to charge extra €5 for electricity, extra €5 for WiFi, and an xtra €5 using a fan and an €2 tourist tax. Who on earth charges extra for electricity!? Which place in 2023 can possibly offer a booking and not give electricity!? Do they expect people to show up with books and candles for light? Not only that but the fan offered as an optional extra is a ceiling fan not a portable fan, so because I told the guy that I won't be paying extra for the fan because I don't need it, he looked at me and without hesitation told me that if I use it then they will know and they will contact booking.com and threaten me with extra charges. Other complaints include an extremely late checkin at 5pm and early check out at 10am. We've arrived at the place for 5pm and the young guy there told us to wait 5 mins without expenation before going away somewhere and coming back 40 mins without any explanation leaving us and some other guests stranded at the reception waiting for no reason. Should we maybe get €5 compensation for this incompetence? I should mention that we actually first arrived at 3pm and had heavy luggage, we asked if we could keep the luggage at the reception and checkin at 5pm. Ordinarily at any other hostel this would have been free of charge but here.. yes... You guessed it €5. We enjoyed Tossa de mar but cannot possibly recommend this place to anyone even if it's the cheapest on your list, just don't go there unless you wish to be milked of your time and money after you've already paid for the booking.

A good place to stay for one night.

The location was very good. Not very far from the bus station, only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. It is exactly what you would expect out of a hostel. A good place to stay for one night or two.

You had to pay for wifi, extra sheets, etc. We didn't have enough towels for the amount of people staying in the room, but otherwise it was fine. Small room, you get what you're expecting for the price.

They made us wait 1 hour and a half for check in at 8 pm (check in was available since 3 pm theoretically). only one guy at reception that was cleaning the rooms upon arrival of the guests. rooms were small, bad ventilated (they charge you 5 euros to give you the remote to switch on the fan) and dirty. There was not even toilet paper in the bathroom.

Sufficient for one night, not comfy to stay.

Location is very good. Very close to the beach, stores and supermarkets. Person working there was quite nice.

Check in is quite late, at 16. Until then you might not find someone in the hostel, which means you might not be able to leave your bags there. The room was very small: the space was sufficient for 2 people but they had managed to put in an extra bunk bed in there which made the room very cramped. I can't imagine how 4 people can fit there. I think bathroom was the worst. Shower was not working properly and it is constructed in a way that water goes everywhere. No soap. Ventilation is connected with the neighboring room and you can hear the conversation of the people in the other room like you are in the same room. I do think there is a lot of room for improvement, but for staying one night as a young couple or group of friends/students it can work. But it didn't feel comfy at all.

Disappointing for the price

Great location, in the center of Tossa near facilities. It was easy to get the key from the staff.

The price for the room was too expensive from what you get. We had to ask for soap (in coronavirus time) and for the wifi key. The rooms were very noisy and we could hear the neighbours. The bathroom was very old, the shower very small and not easy to use.

Location, very close to the heart of the city and the castle is about 5-10min walking distance, which is through the very nice city paths

Very small bathroom: I could just stand there in the shower without moving, going to toilett was also pretty tight. Staff came up with lame excuses to make me sign the check-out papers when I had just checked-in (which seemed very questionable, but I guess the staff lady just wanted to safe the time of meeting again for the check-out)

The location was good.

The room was very small indeed as I was reading in all the comments, we were three and we couldnt fit to walk in the room. There was not even one chair inside the room. The bed had a blue bedsheet that wasnt well placed, as if someone was sleeping there before. To have a balcony indeed you had to pay 5 euros/night. Also, we had brought rubber gloves and a cleaning spray to be able to feel safe there during corona times. There was no toilet paper in the room, neither shampoo and they had forgotten to put the towel for one of the people (we never used these towels anyway, we had our own plus pillow cases).

Exceptional

The cleanliness, how good the room was, its air, its very clean bathroom, its super comfortable litters catch you and you don't want to get up haha and above all the location very close to everything, both quiet and partying, but away from the noise , you don't hear anything, and that's super grateful

As it stands, better to stay in front at Hostal ALBA. Includes breakfast and service

This hostal was originally clearly built with love. The balcony was definetely a plus, beds were comfortable and is close to all amenities. 2 minutes to bus stop and nice places to have breakfast and close to the old town (2 minutes walk)

Unfortunately this hostal was sold a few months ago to investors, who vave no idea about customer service. The reception was closed, no towels, no toilett paper, no hot water (they forgot to turn it on). They have hired someone who has no idea about customer service to collect the money and to keep an eye on the hotel. We kept perceiving a strange smell, that in our last day, we found out that there was a nappy from I guess the previous stay that had been left behind! TVs were there but they did not function and the worst (yes, apart form the nappy). They have a ceiling fan charge of 3 EUR per day, whether you use it or not. So we had to pay extra 15 EUR for the fan and 50 more to be changed to a decent room (with balcony). We changed because I asked about Covid measures for originally booked shared bathroom and clearly there was no cleaning service on this hostel. it should be lcosed down for not being able to have COVID measures on shared bathroom offered rooms.
