About this house rental
Old Dairy Barn occupies one side of a walled courtyard forming part of the 17th century Manor House. It was previously used as a farm building with cows downstairs and their food kept on the top floor. It has been completely refurbished and now boasts four bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor whilst the upstairs has a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. It has its own entrance, private parking and a sheltered sitting area outside.
Being located close to the A38 makes for easy access to the sights of Devon and Cornwall whilst offering close proximity to the wild landscape of Dartmoor. Within walking distance we have Pridhamsleigh Caverns, one of Devon's premier caving spots and we can recommend a guide if you wish to go underground. Ashburton, with its Antiques Trail, cafes and restaurants is also within walking distance as are the pub/restaurant at Furzeleigh Mill and Buckfastleigh, home to the steam trains of the South Devon Railway which run to Totnes.
The calendar is currently blocked for 36 hours between each booking during which the property remains empty and is thoroughly cleaned in order to minimise the risk of Covid19 transmission. If you would like to book the property for a longer period than is shown please contact me and I will endeavour to accommodate you.

First impressions when walking in are mind your head!
The downstairs bedrooms and toilet/bathrooms are very nice, the bedrooms having enough space for all of us.
Upstairs is a sight to behold. The seating areas , including the pool table give a really spacious feeling to the property.
When we walked in, it was Wow!!!. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for the 6 of us.
Everything about the property is great and would recommend anyone to stay there if they are looking at staying in the South Hams/Riviera, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the seaside towns.

Family of 3 adults, so we had plenty of space and our own bedrooms. A very nice and well equipped house. Very clean and fresh. I don't think I have never slept better anywhere in a rented house or a hotel. Very well equipped house, everything we needed was there. I recommend this place.

Review comments 2: What a lovely break we had
there. The accommodation was brilliant as was the central location. The cottage was fully equipped to a high standard. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There were seven of us, in three generations and all agreed that we would love to stay there again.

Our escape to the country
We had a lovely stay in The Old Dairy Barn, it had everything we needed and more! There was lots of thought gone into making our stay as comfy as possible from a lovely welcome pack with bread, milk, tea, coffee, jam, wine and cookies ( which we devoured straight away) to tea towels, washing capsules, dishwasher tablets, books, games... the list goes on! All the facilities were spotless and of high quality. The location was great with so many places to visit and things to do, lots of them within walking distance so no need for the car. We'd definitely recommend staying here to others and the owners were really helpful and friendly too.

Mark and Helen were wonderful hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The house has been newly renovated with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. It was clean and very specious.
