This home is outfitted for luxurious fun out in a lovely little mountain town. Family and friends can play pool or hang out in the game room downstairs after a long day at the lake, or come together around the fireplace. The private gym has a treadmill, standard weights, incline bench, and ballet bar. The fully equipped kitchen has all GE appliances and granite counters to help with your vacation cooking projects. For outside entertaining all year long, the extensive four-burner outdoor barbecue kitchen (with a private gas grill) allows guests to enjoy freshly grilled dinners on the decks anytime. Modern essentials include central heating and free WiFi.

Silverpine Chalet sits on a prime location in the Shaver Lake development of Ockenden Ranch, with easy year round access. The town of Shaver Lake is two miles from the home, perfect for if you're looking for a retreat that's still close enough if you're craving some Strawberry Basil Cobbler from Seasons Bistro and Tavern. Shaver Lake itself (if you're going the way of Dorabelle Picnic Site) is just shy of a mile away. If you decide to head to Camp Edison Day Use Beach, you'll be just over four miles away from this home. Be sure to visit the Central Sierra Historical Society on the weekends to learn about the area, just over three miles away!

The fireplace in this home only uses Duraflame/Presto logs.
This home does not have AC.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Reviews
Would have given 5 stars however, house was freezing when we arrived, we couldn't get heater to come on. Had to call maintenance to figure it out, they had trouble too, but finally got it to work. TV had very few stations and not very good reception. Overall, I would recommend this home and would definitely stay again!
On the downside some of the kitchen cabinets faces were in need of repair, one nearly falling off. Windows dont open all the way upstairs and no screens. From a service point of view not all the bathrooms had TP and probably worse is we paid for the linen/towel service assuming that meant the towels would be hung and beds made but apparently the means they just deliver the bag of linens and towels to the front door....you gotta make your own bed. That's suboptimal after a long drive or in our case 4 long days backpacking. I've never rented a home or condo before where I had to make my own bed on arrival.
Oh, and just a side note. The beds are soft. Wont bother most folks but I like a good firm mattress.
