The Knoll View is a wonderful house for a family vacation. My husband and I were traveling with our adult children, their spouses and 4 grandkids. The space worked well, and the girls loved the bunkhouse room with trundle beds! The house is older but with updated bathrooms and kitchen. The location is right across the street from a small public beach, but there is a larger more secluded beach a short walk away from the house. Silver Lake itself is clear, clean, and uncrowded even on the weekends. It's a great lake for kids. The house came with kayaks and a canoe!
The only negative is that the AC was not working. The owner tried to have it fixed before we arrived but to no avail. It would have been nice to have a heads up. That being said, when I contacted Andrew, he responded promptly and had a technician at the house the next day. The AC was still not working when we left, but not much could have been done as it was the weekend. Andrew texted updates daily to see how we were doing. We did have one uncomfortable night, but were lucky that the weather was cooler the other days.
Overall, I would definitely stay at the Knoll View House again. We all had a blast!

This is a beautiful home, comfortable and well appointed and clearly cared for by the owners. There's lots of room for a a couple of families to spend time together as well as have a bit of privacy. The lake across the street is lovely and has some nice walking trails around it. The host was super responsive. We highly recommend!

Kayaks and fishing gear and floaties galore! Totally set up for an awesome getaway with family and kids. We rented this house specifically bc it could fit 10 of us in real beds, was dog friendly, and had AC. A few of my kids still go to sleep early, so separate rooms and AC is a must for the hot summer nights and a family member with very bad allergies.
Was unfortunate the AC broke on us upon entry and couldn’t get fixed. The kids were unable to safely sleep in the loft area with the 5 beds (it got up to 100 degrees in there even with the fans on!) so we had to shuffle everyone around and stick kids in weird, slightly cooler places. It was hot and sticky in all the rooms. New Hampshire summers aren’t as cool as night as they used to be!!
The road the house is on is busy and people take the curve way too fast. While the beach is close, it’s a little bit of a heart racer to get there. And we had two leeches from the lake on feet! 😱 that was a first for us!
Besides the uncomfortable nights (this momma didn’t get much sleep) the location was great. The lake was lovely, Village Store a dream, and the drive to Conway for stores and mini golf was easy and fun.
Ups and downs, but over all a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed everything about our trip. The only thing is the outside furniture was not very clean full of mold, so that part was not very good disappointing because we would’ve liked to sit on that patio with the view of the lake and we tried to wash the furniture and it did not clean but all the rest was awesome.

Wonderful house, beach across the street, not private but hardly used. Plenty of clean towels ,linen , comfortable beds. Still can't believe you use ac in new hampshire! Loved the canoe and kayaks, family of loons out on the lake. Did not want to leave!

We had a wonderful time with family here. There was plenty of room. It was clean with plenty of supplies. Andrew even had a delivery sent during our stay in case we needed more paper towels etc. He answered our questions promptly during our stay. My children and grandchildren really enjoyed Nichols beach which was approx a five minute drive down the road. The lake was comfortable, but refreshing. They also enjoyed kayaking at Monument Beach. We took a trip to Storyland which was only about 45 minutes away. We also enjoyed North Conway which was only 35 min away. Lots of fun and lots to do in the area!

My family (7 adults and 3 children) rented this property for a week. We had a wonderful time! We loved the lake and enjoyed using the kayaks and floats. The house was spacious and we had plenty of room. We loved watching the sunset over the lake from the dining room window. The kitchen was so well stocked and we enjoyed playing games in the evening. I would highly recommend renting this property.

We stayed at this house for three nights over a holiday weekend and really enjoyed it. The kitchen is well-stocked and enjoyable to use, there is plenty of space to spread out (with two living rooms, one more of a tv room and one more of a den with a woodburning stove and lower lighting), beds have comfortable mattresses and sheets, the house gets lots of light, and the house comes with a canoe and four kayaks and it’s only a short walk down the hill and across the street to put them into the lake. Great communication with the owner.

Great stay!
We had a great stay at this spacious, lakeside rental. Our dog came along and loved the nearby rail trail and other area hiking spots.

We were able to vacation with our entire family and have activities for all ages. The house is wonderful with plenty of communal space while still allowing us quiet time if needed. They have really thought of everything. The area is beautiful and peaceful. Definitely not a tourist trap, but close enough to enjoy day trips if you want. We already are talking about going back!! Thank you for this wonderful vacation.

Lovely home clean with lots of sleeping arrangements and pet friendly!
We had a great stay. Eleven of us in total with lots of sleeping arrangements. Everything was very clean and the house itself is lovely. Also, pet friendly which is a must for us! Owner communicated very well and timely. The drive to North Conway was not bad at all from this house. We would love to stay again.

Awesome host and property
Andrew is an awesome host. Communication with Andrew was great. If you have any issues, you can send Andrew a text and he'll get back to you right away. There's no heat upstairs as the heat filters up through the vents in the floor which was stated by Andrew. He check with me again the next day and I told him it was still a little chilly upstairs so he had a neighborhood kid drop off 4 brand new space heaters to heat upstairs. Andrew will go the extra mile to make sure his guests are comfortable.

Folks - Andrew's property was OUTSTANDING - I only have 3 regrets:*Wish we would have arrived earlier*Wish we could have stayed longer*Wish I would have brought my whole family with me (I'm the youngest of 8 kids!!)Seriously though...this was the perfect get-away weekend for my wife, my daughter and myself. But as we settled into this beautiful location I couldn't help thinking about the history of the house itself....all the holidays celebrated under that roof....the birthdays....the special occasions, etc. - for some reason the property really "spoke to me"....it has all the modern conveniences you will need while retaining it's historic charm. We took full advantage of the lake one day and had an excellent canoe trip. Since we were there in the Fall we were over-run by wild turkeys each morning which was really great. One evening we even fired up his fire pit and just immersed ourselves in the moment. When I was younger I spent a lot of time in N.H. and Andrew's place was a great base of operations for all the "tourist junk" that we had on our list: Mount Washington, the Madison Boulder (if you've never seen THE BOULDER....you gotta see it to believe it), the Tamworth Farmers Market, North Conway, etc. Location - location - location & it doesn't get any better than Silver Lake - away from the zaniness of N.C. but close to everything that you want to experience.And.....last but not least...this may seem "corny" to you but it was important to me: Andrew's welcoming/information packet was thorough and so professional - you read that sucker and any question/every question you may have had will be answered. He is an A+++ host. This truly was the perfect weekend for us - I'm giving him all 5 stars......I only wish I could have given him more!!

Labor Day stay
Charming and centrally located home. We (a family of 5 and a family of 4) stayed at this home over Labor Day weekend. The house is clean and and has every amenity you would need for a stay. We felt like we were at home as soon as we arrived. The house is big enough with plenty of places to hang out. The kids hung out in the loft while the adults were downstairs!
I highly recommend renting this home you won’t be disappointed!
