An overall excellent experience

The house was on a very large no wake lake. There is little boat traffic which was a nice surprise. Fishing wasn't the best but the views trump everything! We took a boat ride over to Teal Lake, another large body of water, through the most amazing channel surrounded by wilderness not over development. The home itself was amazing allowing families to spread out and have their own space. It is a very well built home with all the amenities. The screened porch with vaulted ceilings and comfortable furniture was our favorite area to hang. There is ample outdoor seating and the fire pit area boosts the best sunset viewing. The home is very remote so plan accordingly. You are 30 minutes from civilization, perfect!

We hadn't returned to Lost Land and Teal lakes in over a decade. Great and beautiful property and setting. Fishing on the lake was good to great. Wildlife was outstanding from loons, eagles, osprey, kingfishers and song birds to otters and deer at waters edge while out on the lake. The home is gorgeous space with many places to retreat to for quiet when needed. Management was responsive to getting a ticket in and internet restored after a big storm and area-wide outage. Would definitely stay again.

This lovely and comfortable lake home was the perfect early summer getaway. It has several special rooms with beautiful nature views. Our favorites were the screened porch and the eagle’s nest turret. The kitchen is well-stocked for preparing meals. Our son came to visit for one day and night and the locations of the bedrooms and living spaces afforded enough space that we didn’t feel like we were in each other’s spaces.
The weather was blustery when we were there but we managed to get out to see a pair of eagles feeding their young in a nest on Teal Lake. The guys also enjoyed hiking on a nearby trail.

My wife and I chose this location for anniversary. It’s a very nice property with a very unique layout. It was well stocked and clean. I found the bed to be very comfortable which is not always the case so that was very much appreciated. The owner also allowed use of the garage which was nice for storing fishing equipment between uses. The main dock is not really set up well for docking a pontoon. There is a second dock on the opposite side of the property, but it’s a little shallow in that bay. It would be good if some tiedowns were installed for docking the boat on both docks, but it was very manageable. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Very impressed with the house and grounds. Everything in the kitchen was good. Loved the views. Beds slept very well. The biggest disappointment was the uncleanliness. Lifted the kitchen rug up and dirt fell out. Master bath had dried on poo in the toilet. Inside windows had kids handprints. Also looked for the beach which was listed. It must have been the cute little park down the road a bit. Guess we were expecting sandy beach. All in all we would return. We actually didn’t have any communication with property manager.

A quiet, cool stay on the lake. We left early after a severe storm swept through. Hope all is well now.

We enjoyed our stay with the clean home, great views and very functional.
The kitchen, dining room and fooseball table were a hit with the kids. But the highlight was the kayaking adventures. Only recommendation is to add another 3 kayaks😀.
Regarding the wildlife, we saw eagles, osprey, loons, lake otters and a deer with fawn. Within 2 miles we saw a wolf and within 4 miles we saw a bear with her two cubs.
Wonderful stay and hope to return sometime,

We had such a nice time on Lost Land Lake. The house was beautiful and perfect for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed using the grill. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. The views from the "eagle's nest" room were awesome. The lake was really nice and fishing was pretty good. Jon and his worker, Sara, were great to work with and were very helpful! Thanks for the awesome memories!!

We enjoyed our stay at Lost Land Lake. We had everything we needed to cook all of our meals at the cabin. The grill was used almost every day. We had a great meal at Lost Land Lake Lodge! If you have a boat go and check out Teal Lake attached by a canal to Lost Land. The staff at the Happy Hooker Bait Shop were really friendly and helpful. The area is a true throw back to the old time cabin trip experience.

The booking process and the communication with the manager were excellent! I never had to wait for a response. The house is as beautiful as the pictures show. The weather was pretty cold and rainy but we expected that for the end of September which is why we rented a large house. The house is on a dead end road with lake on both sides. The heat was on when we got there, making it a very cozy checkin. There were 5 of us retired women (all sisters) and there was ample room for each of us to have some privacy. The layout of the home was perfect for us. We could play games in the dining room while enjoying the lake view. We’d love to rent the house in the summer when we could use the screen porch, as it looked very inviting. Hayward is about 37 miles away but we were on vacation so it wasn’t an issue. We drove there each day and shopped the Main Street each time. Be sure to stop in to the candy shops! All have great fudge, fresh chocolates, home made caramel and sweets and the gals at Marie’s are very helpful with recommendations for dining and activities. Trip was a total success - and the first time we’ve ever all gotten together. Thank you, Jon, for making the renting process so easy! We enjoyed our stay immensely and will absolutely be back.

Lovely property. Great three seasons screened-in room. Views of lake from the home's wrap-around porch/deck are wonderful. All rooms are nicely furnished. We have stayed here twice and thoroughly enjoyed both stays. We hope to rent this home again next year! (NOTE: Make sure to bring a bag of ice for your stay! No ice maker in refrigerator/freezer. Ice cube trays are available in freezer.)

We absolutely loved the house and property. House was very clean, nice beds and furniture. Kitchen had anything you would need. The lake is "quiet" lake so no wave runners, speed boats, just pontoons and fishing boats. We caught a ton of fish both from the docks as well from our boat. Located about 30 mins from downtown hayward we were still able to shop and enjoy Hayward but stay in a completely private house and property. Can't wait to go back next summer!

Wonderful property on a peaceful lake with great fishing
Everything you would hope for in a northern Wisconsin lake vacation property. Beautiful home and property. Clean and updated. Great accommodations for a family. We spent most of our time fishing on Lost Land Lake. We caught trophy smallmouth bass (19+ in) and walleye (24+) and nearly hooked a 40+ musky. We had a lot of high winds and some thunderstorms that took time away from quality fishing but otherwise it was very nice. The views are excellent. Two docks for boats. Kayaks included. Wonderful! Highly recommended.

Spectacular views and gracious living.
A gorgeous house, on amazing property, with all the colors of autumn reflecting in the lake; we simply couldn't have asked for more. But more there was, like a bald eagle landing in the tree in view of our breakfast table and deer walking across the yard. Northern pike, sunfish, perch, small mouth, and large mouth bass competed for our hooks. And the wrap around porch meant that my 89 year old mother was able have full access to the views. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

This house, property, and equipment provided were above our expectations. We needed nothing. Listing as advertised. All we had to do was unload our food and clothing and we were able to start enjoying our vacation immediately. We’ll be back!

Very clean home upon arrival with fully stocked kitchen. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and large cabinet of games & puzzles. The wrap around porch allowed us to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, and the bright, large windows were a joy to be surrounded by every day. Quiet and private property, even with neighbors on both sides. Some minor notes:- Bedding: Due to COVID, guests are recommended to bring own blankets as they only provide light, polyester blankets. Pillows could also be washed or replaced due to odor. - TV: If planning to stay in, bring own TV streaming device. DirectTV channels are limited and no TV streaming accounts (Netflix, YouTube, Disney+) available.- All bathroom and kitchen towels are to be provided by guests.- The 8-mile drive before arriving at the property is curvy and narrow. Drive carefully. We also had to dodge a fallen tree on the road on our way out. Overall, a tranquil experience for our large family.

Peaceful Winter Getaway
Our family was looking for some up north peace and fresh air, and we definitely found it here. The house has amazing windows all around the dining table as well as up in a second floor tower lookout over the lake and treetops. We cross country skied at Mukwonogo Ski Trail as well as some of the Birkie feeder trails. Closer to the house we found CABMA trails at Lake Wilson that were prefect for snowshoeing. The lake had a gorgeous snow fog at sunset that made for pretty evening skis as well. The house had all we needed - puzzles, kitchen supplies, Direct TV, WiFi for remote work and school.

My husband and I, plus our two 20-something daughters, wanted to escape to a calm spot as a break from the social isolation and craziness of this coronavirus year. When I found this property on VRBO, it seemed perfect. The house is gorgeous, with fabulous water views from every window. Perched on a small bluff overlooking the lake, the property has a good-sized yard to sit in, and enough distance to feel private from the neighbors on each side. Bedrooms were good sizes, with great closet space and drawers. Kitchen was supplied with appliances and towels, and enough pots, pans, and dishes to prepare just about any meal. Our visit was a week in October. We were lucky enough to be there at color peak, and the colors were intensified during some beautiful sunsets. Spent a lot of time sitting watching the lake, listening to loons, and watching eagles who flew across the lake to perch just above our chairs. Deer greeted us the first morning, and there were beaver at the place we put the kayaks in the water. We'd go back in an instant, but professional schedules for the daughters make that hard to predict. We had good internet access, lots of plugs for recharging devices. Hayward and Cable provided good shopping and restaurants. When we needed something for the house, delivery of the missing item came within 6 hours. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Thank you so much for making it available!Chris, Erin, Kate, and Maggie

Loved our stay, gorgeous place!!
We loved our five day stay!! Perfect for our COVID getaway and being able to stay away from people. The property is amazing, very beautiful inside and out. The cantilevered deck and gorgeous loft and dining room were so peaceful for puzzle making and meals. The neighborhood was great, but I marked it at 4/5 since it was 40 minutes to the nearest store. (Though that was totally fine with us!!) Property manager was quick to respond to questions and the WiFi was strong enough for us to work and do virtual school. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, etc. everything we needed for a Thanksgiving dinner...just add food! Would highly recommend this amazing place to everyone!!

Best we've ever experienced
This gem speaks for itself, but the communication, cleanliness, amenities and the entire process made it stellar. We highly recommend this property and we're looking forward to visiting again. Would be perfect for your family in every season.
