Fantastic property and location, everything we needed and more
5.0
This place is bigger than it looks, we were surprised. The bigger dining room table and the wonderful living room space were great for hanging out. Lots of room for a family to spread out. The beds were comfortable, and the temperature was easy to regulate between the registers for heat and opening windows for cool. My only suggestion about the bedrooms would be some additional window coverings for darker/blackout options. The master bedroom had great blackout shades, but the other rooms didn't. We visited a lot of places while staying here - a relatively easy drive to Inverness, Culloden, Loch Ness one day. We visited Cullen, Buckie, Huntly Castle, and other local sights on other days. Portknockie was a lovely place to stay and still be able to visit other spots. The town itself is so peaceful and quiet - would highly recommend for a getaway. And this rental had all the things you need for a comfortable stay (even a couple games for the younger kids!). And best of all, the owners were extremely responsive when we had questions. Thank you for having us!!

From our first communication to our actual meeting everything went very smoothly. Gemma was an excellent host and could not fault her or the property, which was amazing.

White Haven Portknockie
The photographs don't really do this property justice, I would recommend this to anyone. Gemma and Richard have thought of everything. It lacks nothing from kitchenware to childrens' board games. And what a fantastic location with some great local walks and scenery.
