We had our annual women's golf trip of 19 ladies. The property held all 19 ladies where we could gather in one room. The bedrooms where comfortable and enough beds for everyone to have their own beds. The AC worked perfect and the rental was well stocked, very, very clean. We needed to call the manager for one slight problem and he was their in minutes and resolved the problem. We HIGHLY recommend staying here and would certainly do so again. It is tough to please 19 ladies but all agreed this was an awesome place.

We had a family gathering with over 30 people and this house was perfect for us. Lots of room and plenty of activities for everyone. Owners were very responsive and helpful. We loved staying here.

This was a perfect place for our family reunion! We all really enjoyed the property, especially the front for our family gatherings. A few things to consider:
1. Street out front is extremely busy, families with littles may appreciate knowing that up front.
2. Front steps are pretty steep, a bit challenging for elderly individuals.
3. Ad seems to indicate kayaks are included with the property.
4. Kayak entrance is a little more challenging to get to than just crossing the street.
Thanks again for letting us stay, it was a fantastic time!

We stayed in Jan 2024. Went skiing nearby and to Biltmore, with 26 people. Inn was clean, well supplied, cozy, comfortable. Rooms have individually controlled heat and air which I liked. Rooms we used all had private bathrooms. Rooms were large enough. Good fire pit. Lots of space for entertaining upstairs, downstairs, inside and outside. Our group had a great time. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Our sorority stayed at this house for a retreat and it was such a great experience. The house was clean and comfortably accommodated 60 women. The house was clean and smelled great. The sheets/beds were all clean and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with anything you may need! The hosts were kind and helpful the entire time. The area is perfect and there is a park right across the steeet with many different activities. The house is perfectly located and anything you’d need is 5-10minutes away. We had such a great weekend and could not recommend more.

It was a great set up for our large family reunion. Each individual family group could have their own room with separate bath. Large porch made a nice gathering space in the evening. Kitchen is a little small for a really large group, but it is workable with simple meals & there is a grill in the side yard, which helped. Plenty of activities in the Waynesville/Maggie Valley area plus the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, etc. for different small groups to explore and enjoy during the day. The location of the Inn across from the playground, tennis courts, pool & kayaking/paddle board rental was very convenient. The area around the Inn at the Lake is very safe to allow the tweens and teens to wander on their own for a little independence. We would stay here again.

Great place for a family reunion. Plenty of private space as well as room to visit on the porch, in front of the fireplace or around the picnic tables. Front steps are steep and difficult for some to navigate. Would definitely make a return visit. Lovely flowers and gardens.

OUTSTANDING!!!! We used the property for a 60th Birthday party with 14 couples. Perfect location. Perfect accommodations. The owners/proprietors (not sure what you call them now) were very gracious and accommodating. Excellent locale. One I would certainly use again.

Our family had a wonderful time at the inn. It was nice to have the convenience of the park across the street. The only limitation was the small kitchen. That was a bit hard for a family reunion.

This was a fantastic house our team. Great location with things to do in walking distance!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was clean and had a lot of personality. Being across from the park and the lake made for an amazing weekend with lots of fun things to do as a group. Everyone in our party talked about wanting to come back again!

We had over 30 family members for a 3 night family reunion at the Lagoalinda Inn. Everyone enjoyed it so much they voted to return to this spot for our next reunion! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms provided private spaces for folks, while the large Living room and beautiful front porch allowed everyone to gather together in comfort. The pretty side yard with 2 picnic tables, grill, swing and fire pit were all enjoyed by our group. Ted and Ruth were so accommodating and easy to work with. We highly recommend this property.

A very quaint and clean experience. Had a family reunion here and it was a perfect spot. Everyone got their own room and the common area was large. But our favorite place was the front porch. We spent a lot fo time here enjoying the breeze and the great views of the lake area.
Definitely recommend for a large gathering. It’s close enough to places but away from all the hustle and bustle.

We wanted a place for a family reunion that was large enough to hold 30 people. This property was fantastic. The old feel to the home, the fact that each couple was able to have their own bedroom/bathroom and the large open living room contributed to a great weekend. The front porch was a popular place for us with all the space and abundance of rocking chairs. Wasn't sure how to react to this 1925 Inn not having any TV's. But it ended up being great! No one was distracted by the glare of a TV running. Gave us more quality time together. The convenience to the swimming pool, playground, and lake were a bonus. The crape restaurant, about a block away, was delicious.

Great location
We loved the location on the lake and all the activities available across the street. Also enjoyed all the bedrooms with their own bathrooms! The kitchen is a little small if you're going to cook for 30+ people. We enjoyed our stay!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Lagoalinda Inn. The front porch became our favorite gathering place, as the weather was perfect and the views of the lake beautiful. The kitchen was a bit small to serve our group of 30, but thankfully the porch and outdoor picnic table provided ample room. We walked around the lake, rented kayaks and played mini golf and tennis across the street.

Fantastic Venue for a Wedding Party or Family Reunion
I cannot overstate how enjoyable our stay was. We had 9 couples and everyone truly enjoyed the ambiance of the Inn and the attention to detail the innkeepers have. AND that porch. WOW! We spent hours on the rocking chairs enjoying each other, the view, and a few beverages along the way.

Sweet little Inn - perfect for groups of family
We enjoyed getting to meet the Inn Keepers, the home was beautiful and the location was perfect. The bathrooms are a little dated and small in some of the room but all were working and met our needs.

We came as a group of moms/running friends to end the summer together before school starts. We were hoping for a mountain/lake escape…. Thank goodness we are all so close- bc we had to laugh at this place. It is NOT at all what you see in the pictures— or how it is described. It is old, dusty, sticky and while there are antiques everywhere - there is also just “stuff” cluttering the place like fake plants, wooden birds, and a fence and quilts as decoration simply gathering up dust.
The Inn is HOT. NO AC (except one room). July without AC is not enjoyable.
For a big group, not having a dishwasher was annoying.
The area is in a VERY religious community…. Nothing at all against that- but that shroud be made very clear in the listing. First sentence perhaps.
The photos show a much cleaner and more sprawled out layout…
The living room chairs are not very comfortable and the rocking chairs have threadbare cushions that make your bottom hurt.
But…. To end on a positive note— the Innkeepers were very nice. The beds were comfortable. Walking around the lake was beautiful. We found a great hike and we had a fun time at a local brewery. And we laughed A LOT. Again, thank goodness we were together - not sure another group could have handled the disappointment.

Our family of 18 had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Lagoalinda Inn at Lake Junaluska. The inn is well maintained and the owners, Ted and Ruth, are excellent hosts. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, each with their own theme. The inn is near the lake, the playground and other amenities. Our children loved the playground and we had great time walking the 3+mile walking trail around the lake. We will bring our bikes when we return, the area would be great for bike riding. One special treat at the inn was the absence of televisions (there is wifi however), the children occupied themselves at the playground and playing games with one another while the adults visited without the distraction. Ted and Ruth responded quickly to any questions prior to the trip and once we arrived they explained everything we needed to know to have a pleasant stay and were readily available if any questions arose. All-in-all, a great place to have a relaxed family get away!
