Welcome to Sol Searcher! This 2 BD/1.5 BA cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests and is fully equipped to give you a classic beach going experience on beautiful Folly Beach! With a view of the historic Morris Island lighthouse and of the marsh, the home is situated directly across the street from the ocean. Guests will enjoy the open floor plan and multiple areas for relaxing/entertaining. In addition to the comfort of the indoor living and dining areas, there is an open-air front porch, a screened-in back porch well-appointed for dining, a smaller back porch set up for grilling, as well as a large rooftop deck with vast views of the marsh/river and the ocean. Also included at the property is a small dock furnished with crabbing nets which is perfect for the whole family to experience a Low Country tradition!
Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

Pets considered. All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 (plus tax) per pet nonrefundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 6 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly like the listing. Cute. Clean. Great location! We enjoyed being on the marsh. We caught a big blue crab in the crab trap!
The bathroom sink needs to be fixed - super slow draining. And we bought ant bait traps because there were random ants in the kitchen from the first day we arrived. We told the property management company about the broken dock and they came out and fixed that! Easy communication. We would love to come back!

Amazing! if you are question location - it's perfect! Also was bigger than I thought it would be. Rooftop sun deck is the perfect place to watch the sunsets too!!!

We needed a brief break from our day-to-day grind. Folly beach is just close enough (and just far away enough) for us to get just that. The house is great. Very comfortable and in a superb location. Hope to stay here again.

This was a small but nicely appointed house, clean and functional. 1 bathroom is always a challenge, though there is a half bath in the laundry room. Plenty of outdoor spaces and a beautiful view of the marsh and sunsets. Our dog also had plenty of yard to play ball.

We had a great time at this property. The house had everything we needed. It was on the small side but the view and all the outdoor spaces make up for it. We loved the screen porch and the proximity to the beach. Above all we loved the amazing view of the marsh, it was captivating.
The only thing i would mention is that the half bathroom is located off the screen porch, good if you like a lot of privacy. Also the pier needs some repairs to be safely used at our visit in October 2023.
I don’t say this often but I would love to stay here again. It was a special house and we are already planning our next visit.

Quaint house, out back was pretty and close to beach. House had everything we needed but could use a can opener and giving us more than 1 dishwasher pod would have been nice. Frig needs to be leveled! But overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

My husband and I have been visiting Folly for years and this house was one of our favorites. The location was perfect, on the bay and across from the beach. The house was cleanly and plenty of towels were provided (which is always nice). We liked the back screened porch and used the hose outside to rinse, as the outdoor shower could use some tlc. We took our two dogs and it was a blast.
We like to cook and the kitchen was equipped with cookware and some basic spices. It was nice having a dishwasher as well.
There was a kayak outside under the deck that my husband washed out and took during high tide in the bay. Highly recommend, he got some beautiful pictures. The dock feels like it may fall apart, so be careful of loose and missing planks, especially if bringing children.
In total, we loved it and the space worked for us and our two dogs. The communication was great and very helpful along the way, before and after checking in, as well as when leaving. We're already thinking about reserving for next year. We may have finally found our favorite Folly place to stay. Highly recommend.

Great location and wonderful views. The house is small but ok for 4 people. The half bath is in the laundry room off the screened in porch which is a bit inconvenient. Plenty of utensils, plates, and pots & pans. Beds were comfortable. The house and porch could use a good cleaning. Overall a good place to stay.

This is a great, comfortable beach house with exceptional views, easy beach access and all the comforts of home. Perfect roof top deck, fire pit and large back yard for all your outdoor fun.

We had an amazing month long stay in our Twin Palms rental! The porch and upper deck were two favorite spots to hang out! It was perfect to be a 2 min walk from the beach and be just a few min to town by drive. The house offered some of the best views on Folly as you were able to take advantage of the marsh.

We LOVED staying at Sol Searcher. The location was perfect - literally steps from the beach and only a short drive to downtown Charleston. Our days started with sunrise beach walks and ended with epic backyard sunsets over the marsh with sundowners in hand. When you're not at the beautiful beach, there is plenty of outdoor living at the house with a back patio and fire pit, screened porch and a fabulous roof deck. You can even kayak right from your very own dock! The inside is also comfortable and stylish, with plenty of space to lounge and beachy, cheerful décor throughout. What a gem - we can't wait until our next stay!

We loved our stay here! Very comfortable accommodations (except maybe the trundle bed- not so comfy, squeaky 😄) with everything we needed! Location is lovely and quiet with gorgeous marsh views. House is very clean and charming. Definitely recommend and would love to stay again! Only suggestion would be some more hooks inside and out for towels, bathing suits. Thanks so very much for sharing your lovely home with us!

I had noise, loud noises the entire stay! Two houses were under construction from 6am til sundown! Generators, power saws, nail guns etc. Even the weekend! Grounds crew showed up to cut grass at 6 am on Saturday morning! I had virtually No quiet time at the cottage!

Very much a cottage and has that Folly Beach funk. So if looking for comfort, decent bathroom and bedrooms not on top of each other, then look elsewhere. Pipe broke under sink in kitchen, shower difficult to negotiate and walls dirty and cracking and floors sloping. For a few days or a week you could be fine as it’s a wonderfully quiet and beautiful part of island but very far from town center. Definitely has some good features like rooftop deck and proximity to beach. Just depends on your style and level of needs.

We picked this place based on the proximity to the beach and we were not disappointed. It was a short two minute walk until our feet were sandy. Being located towards the end of the beach, the traffic was low and it was nice and quiet - great for families. The house itself was fine, the beds were comfy and it met our needs. The outdoor shower was clutch and screened in porch and rooftop patio was great. The kids absolutely loved playing on the dock and “hunting” for crabs. There was an issue with the washer unfortunately that required a repair, but the repair was made and we were able to use it again before our departure. Overall a great stay.

Enjoyed both sides of Folly!
Comfortable home with many areas that allow the enjoyment of the outdoors. Beach access on one side for sunrise, marsh view on the other for sunsets! We loved !!

Nov Thanksgiving get away
We did have a few issues with the stay, but the property manager and owner were very responsive and did the best they could given that it was a holiday. They had recently finished some updates, and 90% of the house was as clean as one would expect - but the dishes, pots and pans that were under the counters still had construction debris all over them. They came out right away and cleaned it all up. Wifi was the other issue - likely construction related as well, so no doubt it is fixed now that the Holiday has past. Only other recommendation from kitchen upgrade is to change the new kitchen sink faucet that was installed - it is too tall and the handle hits the shelf above the sink limiting its use. This prevents the use of hot water and only puts out about 50% of the water it probably is capable of - should be a simple fix with just a different style faucet.
Overall - The house is cute, and quiet. The view of the marsh in the morning is amazing. Good for smaller groups that are not planning to cook big meals.

Great Stay
Cute small house which was perfect for our family of 3. The house needs some minor upkeep/paint etc but overall was decent. Well stocked kitchen with utensils and cooking items. Short walk to the beach. Caught a blue crab our last day there using the crab net off the dock. What a great getaway!

Nice, cute, clean house with gorgeous view of the marsh and a short walk to the beach. Great place with a fun atmosphere! We really enjoyed our stay here! Loved the screened in porch, top deck and even though we didn’t use the little pier as much-it was a fun place to have. We enjoyed the games and the movies with the tv. We had a great time together here as a family.

Just off the beach
We had everything we needed. Cute little spot. Quiet and relaxing. Could use a little TLC in the bathroom. And flash lights. The power went out and that would have been helpful. Otherwise a nice stay.
