It is an excellent property in a family-friendly location with the best amenities for a perfect vacation. Everything in the house is clean and useful, and the kitchen is just amazing with all the tools that we need. There are also snorkeling gear, pool noodles, and bikes in the garage for us to use, which is great. My teenage son even learned how to bike when we were there! I highly recommend the Sea to Sky property to anyone who is looking for a great vacation with their family.

The location was great! It was walking distance to the Mauna Lani shopping center, which is so convenient when we needed to do a run to Fooddland. The neighborhood was great as well. The house was nice. And the beds were comfortable. The only thing was there wss a dead roach in one of the bathroom downstairs and the ants were all ovet the dead bug. We called the management and they sent someone right away to take care of the problem and resolve the issue. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about this rental. It is beautiful, and new looking with high end finishes. Everything about this home says “you and your families are welcome here”. The beds were all very comfortable, and the sheets and towels felt high end. Additionally, the kitchen is extremely well stocked with cookware/bakeware, spices, glass food storage, and so on.
They have thought of not just the big things, but the little things as well. The home was stocked with everything from a folding wagon for the beach/excursions, baby equipment, toiletries, etc.
An additional bonus is that it has a semi-enclosed yard area, which the kids enjoyed playing in.
The property manager is also impressive. They are easily reachable and extremely responsive. We found that two of the beach umbrellas were broken and they delivered two new ones within a half hour of contacting them.
Just a few minor suggestions:
• The three thermostats are set to not go below 72 degrees. This was more than sufficient for the most part, with a small exception. The main area gets a bit warm in the late afternoons so allowing just that thermostat to be set at 71 degrees would be helpful. However, that area is plenty cool outside of the late afternoons (when most aren’t there anyway), so it’s definitely not a deal breaker.
• Having a coffee scoop and a 9 x 9 baking pan in the kitchen would be helpful.

This is a great rental for a family. They had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, and in the house as a whole. Including everything you'll need for the beach.
Only a few minor issues, including stained carpeting, and tired living room furniture. But other than that, it's a great property.

The townhouse was beautifully furnished. The kitchen was a cook's dream with a Wolf Stove, Thermador Vent, Sub Zero refrigerator. The configuration of the kitchen made it the hub of everything. The master bedroom had a wonderful shower and convenient closet. The outdoors kitchen was a great place to barbecue. The local grocery store was a 10 minute walk or a five minute bike ride away. It is a popular store. We found out that people further north at the Mauna Kea resort shop at the Foodland at the Villages which is what the area is called. It is actually called the Mauna Lani Beach Club Villages. There is a private beach which is accessed via a key card. It is quite frankly one of the best beaches around. There was great snorkeling and swimming and plenty of cabanas and chairs for the guests. This area is about 40 miles north of Kona so if you want to go to Target or get other essentials you do have to travel or plan ahead. I would recommend this place for a family vacation. One of its other features, though not a great view, it does have some view versus other townhouses that only have another townhouse as view. It overlooks a small natural area and then part of the golf course. There are stairs and no elevator so if you have members that do not do stairs, this is not for them. There were plenty of beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, and also bikes. Our family enjoyed the week.

Great time
The home has all that you will need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Paper towels, toliet paper, laundry and dishwasher detergent etc. Such a nice touch! Beds are very comfy and the bathrooms are great (hair dryers!). Nice linens and towels (plenty of towels). TVs in every room. Great air conditioning with 3 thermostats. Wonderful lanai with a peek a boo view of the ocean. Plenty of bikes, beach chairs and toys for all in the garage. Location is wonderful. Close to the grocery store and the private beach club access is a definite plus!!
To make it EVEN better it would be nice to have an extra set of sheets for each bed. The bbq grill needs some tender loving care as the burners need to be cleaned or replaced (tough to grill on) and the tiles behind cleaned. The carpet also needs some spot cleaning and the windows in the kitchen and all the bedrooms cleaned (the upstairs lanai sliders were spotless).
All in all a great place to stay!!!!

The kitchen is large and well stocked with amenities. The outdoor kitchen was also great for our dinners. A short walk to the grocery store and Tommy Bahama made the location very convenient. Had breakfast and dinner at the Mauna Lani several times which was so tasty. Beds were comfortable but recommend a pillow upgrade. Or bring your own pillows. Outside of that, a really lovely and quiet property with a nice off of the lanai. Golf course, mountains and ocean views.

The kitchen is large and well stocked with amenities. The outdoor kitchen was also great for our dinners. A short walk to the grocery store and Tommy Bahama made the location very convenient. Had breakfast and dinner at the Mauna Lani several times which was so tasty. Beds were comfortable but recommend a pillow upgrade. Or bring your own pillows. Outside of that, a really lovely and quiet property with a nice off of the lanai. Golf course, mountains and ocean views.

Excellent property - tastefully furnished, a well-stocked kitchen, access to the fabulous Beach Club, and close to other great amenities such as Brown's Restaurant at the nearby Fairmont Orchid Hotel. It has everything you need for a great stay on the Big Island. Two tiny suggestions:
1. Some of the bikes in the garage need attention - even after you pump up the tires they go flat in about 30 minutes.
2. There were several light bulbs out in the ensuites (they are specialty bulbs; otherwise, I would have just bought them). The property manager promised to install new ones, but never did.
We can highly recommend this place.

A vacation not to forget
We truly enjoyed our one week stay. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood within the Mauna Lani area. The place was spotless. The beds were very comfortable. From the beautiful decor to the well stocked kitchen to the bikes and beach supplies, we got everything we needed. Foodland was right around the corner for a quick run. Beautiful beaches could be reached within a 10-15 minute drive to the north or south. We did go to the Beach Club once--it's a small quiet cove with with a sandy bottom and beach chairs and cabanas were available. The only issue I found puzzling was that the thermostat was locked with the AC on 24/7 at a set temperature. As I reflected to Danielle the on site manager, i felt that the AC was unnecessary some nights and certainly not while we were out all day. Hopefully this can be changed.

Enjoying Paradise
We have visited the Villages for many years over the past two decades and this has been one of our best stays. While many of the Mauna Lani Villages properties are similar, the amenities provided Mr. Scharer (bikes, helmets, snorkeling equipment, DVD and book library, etc) were wonderful! The local property manager Danielle Bates was very responsive and accommodating. Our only suggestions would be instructions on managing the thermostat on the lower level (it was locked to change the temp, which we would have made less cold). Also, we could not figure out how to use the sound system to link to our iPhone. The furnishings were beautiful and we would not hesitate to return in future years! Mr. Scharer was also quick to respond to questions before we booked, for which we are appreciative. Mahalo for a wonderful vacation experience!

Wonderful experience
This property is exactly as described and I would definitely consider staying here again. Although we were only here with two of us for a business trip, the house would be perfect for a family, or three couples. It is large, very quiet, spacious, well equipped and clean. Communications with the owner and their local agent, were excellent. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this property.

Superb property rental
Everything was outstanding. Top of the line appliances and very elegant furniture. Very comfortable beds. Nice and quiet beach nearby, keycard access for easy parking. Not quite next door to Kona, but located in a very beautiful resort. Easy access to the Petroglyph park, which my son enjoyed very much.
