If your pups have an accident, please clean it up. If our property manager notices heavy stains on the carpet or furniture you will forfeit your entire deposit.
If you plan on letting your pups go into the lake please use the hose out front to rinse them off (the one in the back does not work). Also, plan on bringing your own towels to dry them off. You will be charged to replace linens if they smell like dogs or are heavily stained beyond normal wear and tear.
Again, we love pups! Your help will allow us to continue to allow all pups to stay for free.

Unfortunately, we had 4 of 7 days be overcast and rainy. Fortunately, the game room and the hot tub saved the day(s). Even on those overcast days, being ON Deer Lake made it easy to take advantage of a couple of hours to play between the periods of rain. The house is beautiful and well kept. The host stayed in touch, checking on things and exchanging friendly texts and tips. For 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 12-16) the house was just the right size and had all you need for a wonderful vacation. The only 4 of 5 I gave above was for "location" only because stores, restaurants, gas, etc is all about 20 minutes (or more) away. Personally, I loved that but some in our party (we are "spoiled" Long Islanders) wished for closer amenities.
Having your own small lake, less than a mile from the big lake (Wallenpaupack), and away from "the things of man" . . . perfect for me.

Great family vacation! Property was amazing with a million dollar view. Communication was probably the best I have ever received. Aces to Shawn. Would have zero issues renting from him again. You will not go wrong with this place. Look forward to returning in the future.
Thank you Shawn for everything!

Our family had an AMAZING 7 day stay at the Three Little Birds! The home is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed cooking our meals and grilling on the beautiful deck.
There was a multitude of choices to enjoy from this home such as watching the sunrise, jumping in the lake, sunbathing on the private beach, paddling to the island and amazing fishing!
The fun continued inside the house as our kids were thrilled with the game room! Shawn was a fantastic host and communication was excellent! We cannot wait to unpack our bags once again at Three Little Birds and make more special family memories!

We had a wonderful time at 3 little birds. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Great neighborhood beach and pool with snack stand. Looking forward to returning,

We stayed overnight to prepare for a friends bridal shower. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook our own meal, there was plenty of seating to enjoy said meal together and the space was terrific for entertaining. We spent a ton of time in the hot tub which was in great shape and very clean. The beds were really comfortable which made the stay even better as many of us traveled quite a distance.
The hosts were very responsive to questions and requests. We can't wait to come back!

I spent a fabulous 2 night stay at Shawn's place. Right on the lake. It was so serene and relaxing. Its the perfect getaway and not a long drive from lower New York. Great accommodations and everything you need. You can't go wrong.

This house was exactly what we were looking for, for our little winter break getaway. The owners were very responsive and tentative with any questions I had. The hot tub and fireplace was a big hit for all of us and the basement was perfect for our three boys who love to play games! We were certainly sad to leave!

We absolutely loved the house and location! Will 100% be a return client. Stunning views of the lake from every window!

Overall, it was a great trip. The owner is excellent and very responsive. However, I found the check-in and check-out process are lengthy, to be honest, especially considering the premium price that customers pay. This is not our first time renting such accommodations, and I completely understand the importance of keeping the place nice and clean. The issue with this place was that the house rules were excessive. Typically, as you check out, you set up the dishwasher and leave. With this place, you're required to run the dishwasher and put away the dishes. The dishwasher takes 2 hours to finish, so you have to wait for it to put away the dishes. You should certainly take out all trash before you leave, but with this place, you have to take it all the way to the community dumpster which is roughly 2-3 blocks away. Similarly, with the bedsheets, you need to put on your own bedsheets as you check in and as you check out strip the beds, placing all used linens outside the laundry room. So make sure you spare plenty of time before you check out at 11:00 am so you complete all house rules/requirements.

We have been vacationing in the Poconos for decades. This home did not disappoint. Location is great. View of Deer Lake is spectacular. Shawn was very responsive and attentive. If you have the opportunity to go, we highly recommend this house. We will be going back for sure!

The home was perfect for our family getaway. The home was perfect with so much to do. Paws and claws animal zoo was less than 10 minites away and great for all ages. The lake tour was very informative and big enough for our group to fit one 1 boat. The home owner answered me every time i had a question within a matter of minutes. The home has everything you need to relax, enjoy the water, and make family memories!

The house was lovely and excellently situated on Deer Lake. It was perfect for our family gathering. We enjoyed watching the herons, osprey, and eagles on the lake.

Everything was great during our stay at ThreeLittleBirds! It was so nice to get up in the morning and walk a few steps to the lake, jump in the kayaks and have a nice morning paddle. The lake was quiet since no motorboats are allowed but it was perfect for us. The house itself is very nicely appointed including a hot tub and fire pit for S'Mores. Shawn was very responsive with any questions we had. I have no complaints at all!
5.0
The location is great. The house is located in a neighborhood with lots of great amenities like the pool, game room, and large field for playing family games. It was also great that we did not feel like we were in a neighborhood when sitting on the quiet back deck. Although not huge, the house felt like there was plenty of room to spread out and the larger kitchen was a big plus for us! The only downfall was the gaming system in the basement wasn’t working properly, which we mentioned to Shawn and he was going to tend to that. We also listened to chainsaws and wood chippers from across the lake for a few days, but no one could have predicted that. Plenty of hiking and biking nearby and quiet streets to walk on around the lake. Definitely a place we’d like to return to.

everything was great, we all had a wonderful time, House on the lake and next to the beach was very convenient. Looking forward to returning.

We spent the past week at this wonderful lakefront home with our kids & grandkids (13 of us!).
House easily accommodated all of us.
Views from the deck and firepit area were great.
Grandkids and kids fished from the dock everyday!
Canoes and paddle boards were also in use everyday!
Would highly recommend this for a great vacation spot!
5.0
We had plenty of room for our group to spread out or get together. Great kitchen, large dining table inside and out on the deck. Being steps away from the swim beach was great especially with the little ones. The pool and activity areas are easily walkable. Lots of water toys to choose from for fishing, paddling or just floating around the lake in the daytime. In the evening, relaxing around the firepit, stargazing, soaking in the spa were popular activities. There was plenty to do inside when it rained. Well-equipped climate control made sleeping very comfortable. We're looking forward to a return trip.

We got home yesterday and already want to go back. Shawn is an amazing host who answers every question quickly and prepares you for your stay with everything you need. The location is perfect, as is the lake. Home is well stocked and great layout. The outdoor space enabled people on the deck to still communicate with people in the lake. This was especially nice. Perfect lake to swim, paddle board , kayak or just float on a tube.

Beautiful house with hot tub. There is a sandy beach next to property which we spent alot of time with our 3 year old grand daughter. My son in law had fun fishing on the kayak and our younger daughter and boyfriend had a blast canoeing. Shawn is an excellent host and responds promptly. The entire community is super friendly and many amenities.

My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing vacation at the Three Little Birds house. The view of Deer Lake from the house and the deck are amazing. We felt right at home with the cozy and comfortable furniture. It was spacious and private enough for all 7 of us. We had everything we needed, the house was well stocked and there were written directions for the game system and the TV, etc. The community pool was gorgeous and the water was the perfect temperature for relaxing. The house is right next to the beach so we were able to enjoy time there also. The hot tub was so nice to relax in and several of us could fit in it at once because it was so big. We had a great time kayaking and enjoying being on the lake. It was especially nice to have our 2 dogs with us, because they had a great time too. We had a really fun time at the local zoo. It has so many different kinds of animals, we were happily surprised at how big it is. It was great for my whole family to enjoy. Shawn was an excellent host. If I had a question, he got back to me very quickly. Thank you Shawn and Christine for sharing your beautiful vacation home. We will always remember the fun we had together there.

We had an incredible time at this lake house with our dog. We loved the STUNNING view of the lake and spent a lot of time on it kayaking, canoeing, and visiting the beach that is steps from the house. We used the hot tub and grill almost every day, and even on rainy days we were entertained by the gaming system and the record player. We were very happy to see there was a large dining room table by the kitchen (didn't see this from the pictures), which gave us room to set up some larger board games we brought with us. The owner did such an excellent job providing details and information for us before our trip that we didn't need to reach out to him during our trip, but it was nice to know that we could if we felt anything was missing. We didn't need to use any of the fans or air conditioners as the house stayed a comfortable temperature during our visit, but nice to have just in case. All in all, we couldn't be happier with our visit, and would love to return!

We had an amazing week at Three Little Birds!
We relaxed, played games, ate, went to the Zoo, took amazing walks and fished. Beds were comfy! Dining table with benches is great for family time, eating and playing games. Game system is super retro and plenty of board games to choose from. Everything I needed to cook and make frozen drinks. A plus was not to have to bring linens and take up more room in the car. The view from the loft is beautiful!
We caught huge fish right from the dock! Hot tub was perfect! Dogs had a blast!
We made memories to last a lifetime! Shawn is a great host and very responsive!
Ribs at Mr. Yocks BBQ fell off the bone!! Very close by! 2 large Pan Pizza’s from John’s Italian Restaurant in Hamlin are $16.98 everyday….great deal, delicious and so big the six of ate for two days!! Great Trip!

We were a family of 10 with 4 adults, 2 teens and 4 grandkids ranging from 8 to 10. Not a single minute of boredom from anyone. The house had plenty of room for everyone and the host was very responsive with any questions that I had. Who would except that we would have summer like weather. How lucky were we! The kids swam, paddle boarded and kayaked. We brought our two crawdad boats and the fish were biting every day from the boat and the also the dock. My favorite was the hot tub. One of those vacations that the kids will always remember and I never wanted it to end. Thank you Shawn for your beautiful house and also your hospitality!

Gorgeous house with a gorgeous view! The wraparound deck overlooking the lake was amazing and if it was warmer, I would have spent all my time out there!
There is so much to do between the house itself and the community amenities, you'll never need to leave! We played games (tons of board games for you to choose from as well as an Xbox and custom built gaming system), fished in the lake (didn't catch anything but still had fun), and enjoyed the hot tub! The community/association has a playground, skatepark, exercise room, indoor pool, outdoor pool and clubhouse you can use.
The house is spacious with room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pans and plenty of dishes to cook your meals. Linens are provided (sheets, blankets and towels) which was super convenient (I hate having to pack and wash my own). Shawn responded to my emails/texts very quickly and was very accommodating.
Our family was looking for a relaxing and beautiful spot to regroup and recharge, and this property exceed our expectations! We loved our stay here and would definitely book again!

We arrived at night with an absolutely seamless check-in process. The morning view was INCREDIBLE. The house was so cozy and clean. And had everything we needed to be comfortable. The neighborhood and neighbors are so nice. Our host was communicative and helpful. We will definitely be back :)

Shawn was very responsive and helpful. The house had everything that we needed.
Would like to return in the summer to see lake when it is not frozen and take advantage of the lakefront.

The lake house was so much fun!!! The house was so unique! We had an amazing time! The view of the lake in the morning is gorgeous. Love the hot tub! Went kayaking which was so refreshing especially since the weather all weekend was beautiful. Checked out the town of Honesdale and Three Hammerys winery. I really want to come back. Ty so much

This house was just perfect for my family. Each room accommodated our family of 7 adults & 4 grandchildren (3,2, 1 and 2 months old)
The communication with the host was excellent.
We would definitely come back and rent this house Possibly a summer trip from our hometown in California next summer!

Our host Stuart Abbott was really good, very responsive. The house is great but previous quests were NOT too great because they left trash and little messes that we cleaned up. Two bags on deck which were questionable. One was dog doo for sure. And the cleanup people also missed the trash. We left the place even better than we found in in that my one friend fixed all the game boxes and parts! And totally tidied up that area. We also separated the playing cards back into their perspective boxes. Enjoyed kayak and TV for sure. They house is nicely kept and very comfortable and as I said, the host was great.

Our group of 4 had a wonderful weekend at Three Little Birds. The home was cozy and situated on the lake as promised. Everything we needed was provided. The owner was friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had.
Would definitely go back, but this time when the fish are biting! (No fault of the owner).

The house was very cute and has a lot of personality. Everything was in good condition and the stay was very comfortable. We had rain most of our stay but did manage to get the kayaks out for an hour or two, very easy and convenient. Great place!
