About this house rental

This beautiful rustic lake house property located on Clarks Hill Lake becomes a private oasis with a pool! The house is a dog-friendly, 3/2, 1500 sq. ft. home with a great layout that sleeps 5-7 comfortably, and includes a fully stocked kitchen. An expansive back deck overlooks the lake and has a small dock perfect for relaxing, fishing, or tying up a boat. Also includes kayak and hammock.

*The Army Corps of Engineers controls the level of the lake. We cannot determine whether it will be low, high or just right. Super low lake levels may impact your ability to dock a boat. Because it is out of our control, we cannot issue refunds due to lake levels.

The pool is cleaned weekly from March until October. The pool is not heated. While in full sun, people generally report its pretty cold until May. The cleaners require access to clean the pool each week. The cleaning takes approximately 1 hour. Booking acknowledges and allows cleaners to have access potentially during your stay. During the season, the pool is cleaned on Monday or Tuesday approximately midday.

The lake lodge interior will give you the warm and cozy feel of home. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a tv, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower. The second bedroom is perfect for teleworking with a desk and a queen bed. The “kid’s” room contains a twin over full bunk bed and twin trundle. The hall bath has a shower/tub combo.

The house has high speed WiFi, tvs with streaming apps (bring your own accounts) and an assortment of games and puzzles.

There are five steps to the front door, and eight steps off the back deck to the fire pit/pool area. The property is completely gated from the pool area to the back deck.

The house is dog friendly for house trained pups on flea and tick preventative who would enjoy a lake vacation. The property has a fully fenced yard (see photos for fence height at gates). To minimize allergens for other guests, we ask that you bring sheets or covers to cover any furniture that your dogs may come in contact with. The house includes two dog beds (one fluffy and one kuranda for outside) as well as a crate (sized for a medium dog) and two dog bowls for your use. Please do not leave dogs unattended unless crated. Please do not bring dogs who use indoor pee pads/litter boxes/etc.

We also offer one sit-on top kayak, paddle, and life jackets available for your use. Life jackets are sized for 50lbs and up. There is also a medium sized dog life jacket.

No complaints. Plenty chairs tables and necessities spread around the property! The pool was great. We had to skim the water a few times to remove leaves, flowers and such but it was nice. The boat dock was a good uphill hike for exercise but we’ll kept and stores our boat for seven days. We loved it! 5 stars

Very nice lake house in a quiet neighborhood. Indoor and outdoor space was perfect for the kids and adults. Pool was a great size and the water felt amazing. Lots of floats and noodles in the shed. Would definitely book this location again :)

This property was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed at. Wished that it would have been available for the next tournament but unfortunately it wasn’t, but it was a very well kept place. We will be trying to reserve it next year.

The home was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, with access to a boat ramp near by. Of course we are here in January so we did not utilize the pool or the dock but they were very nice for a weekly summer vacation in the future. The host was very accommodating. The home had everything we needed for our stay.

The host was very pleasant and responsive. The home was very spacious and clean. The outdoor space was wonderful with lots of deck and seating. There is a great pool that it was too cool to us to take advantage of, but would be great in the summer. We would definitely stay again. The only caution is the walk to the lake would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues, but it was fine for us. We carried our kayaks down and back up.

This was our 2nd summer coming and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! We had a great time relaxing in the pool, playing games at the huge dining table, and even caught a couple of sunrises over the lake! The kitchen is very well stocked, had everything we needed. Super nice and very private home. Neighbors are next door on either side but you have complete privacy from them. The pool was phenomenal - very clean and well maintained. The boat dock was perfect. Brand new and easy to get to. The boat ramp is about a 5 minute walk, I dropped the boat in, drove it around to the dock then walked back to get my car. We used the grill which was a premium charcoal grill - very easy to use. The back deck was awesome - we sat for coffee each morning and watched the deer in the evening. Be prepared to make your own food as there aren’t many restaurants in the immediate area. There is a Mexican restaurant about 15 mins away that was superb. We did online pickups for groceries at the Food Lion grocery store about 12 mins away. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook.

Wowww the property is beautiful, down to every detail! Inside has everything you need and some. The outdoor areas are so pretty, so many sitting nooks. The two sheds are full of activities. The pool and pool area is dreamy. We come to Clark hill lake every year and this house was the best one yet! Communication with the owners was flawless, responding instantly. Just go ahead and book it!

Very easy to use for what wanted , boat was covered for prepping tackle, access easy, lots of rooms and functional for a group , great pool area and fire pit plus it really was quiet and secluded off any main road, had easy access to multiple boat ramps … will use again for sure!!

The lake house was a great place to stay. If you have family and want a place to relax and play in the pool, or if you want to just play in the lake it’s perfect. Great location and great communication with the owner. I had a few questions that were answered promptly and she was absolutely great. You will not regret staying at this house. My family and I loved the house! It was the perfect get-away to enjoy nature. The house is tucked away into a nice quaint neighborhood hidden in the woods, and has the perfect view of the lake! The house is clean, well furnished, and well stocked with the perfect amenities! My kids were talking about wanting to book the house again before the first day was even over. Communication with the property manager was great as well. This house is a must stay for anyone looking for a fun time at the lake!

We had an amazing stay. The house is cozy and family friendly. The setting is so quiet and relaxing with a view of the lake. We walked to the dock but never swam in the water (lake was low). We did see deer and a fox and plenty of squirrels and birds. The pool wasn't heated but our grandchildren still swam in it! Each evening we sat around the fire and played games. The host is a very nice person she was easy to communicate with. The house was fine except that it was dusty in places and I swept up a lot of white dog hair when we first arrived (we have a dark colored dog). The outside could use some TLC as far as spiders and weeds. The liner in the pool is coming loose. The big thing for me though was the walk to the dock, its a little rugged, especially for older guys with bad knees like us. My granddaughter dubbed it heart attack hill. It's a nice place but I could not stay there for a whole week, we only had a 3 night stay.
