Property was spacious and comfortably furnished..
Enjoyed seeing their collections. Watching aircraft come and go from your living room window is an extra treat. The children ages 8 to 14 we're extremely delighted with this feature. The host was definitely interested in the comfort and satisfaction of the guests

Great house, great host, very helpful when we had problems with our booking. Thank you!
4.0 / 10.0
The home was decent. It hasn't been updated in a few decades. The fridge and appliances are older and the railing outside is very unsafe. It moves when you are on it. This is on the second level. The hand soap was full of water and a little soap. So you had to get a ton to clean your hands properly. Showerheads are made for people who are 5 foot.
2.0 / 10.0
The location of the property was excellent. Unfortunately, the house was very dirty, we had to vacuum and dust and the dishes were not left clean. Also had to clean the counters, stove and coffee pot. We have pictures of the way the house was left if you would like to see. Also we were surprised at all of the deferred maintenance inside the house and even questioned the safety of the deck.

This is a great Anchorage location that comfortably slept our group of 7 (we had out of town guests - too many to host at our place). Love the expanding dining table!
Constructive feedback: The kitchen could use a utensils update... we ended up bringing our own measuring cups and some other kitchen items, plus larger fans because some windows did not open.

A vacation visiting family who live close to this unique house in Anchorage. The host was out of town but his cleaning person was very responsive to a problem we had with a clogged kitchen sink. She was right on it and stayed in communication with us about the plan to get a plumber in. As well she followed up afterwards to make sure things were ok.

This home has a great view and the weather for us was perfect. The nicest thing about it is the location is close to all of the main feeder roads around Anchorage so it is easy to get around. We met the owner Tony. He is a nice guy. He hung out in the hangar below the house a lot of the time we were there.
4.0 / 10.0
The views are as pictured, but the property is dated and in need of updating. Table legs are very unstable, deck boards are rotting and feel like someone will fall through, cabinet doors are wonky, door handles are loose, master bath toilet clogs all the time for no reason, whole house lost water for a few minutes, several windows don’t open anymore, etc.
It should also be added to the listing that the owner lives downstairs. While he’s friendly and responds right away when there are problems, he is quite loud and can often be heard on the phone, coughing, or watching tv.
The check-out instructions are lengthy and you have to clean half the property yourself after paying cleaning fees, and they threaten additional charges if you don’t. It’s also frustrating that the whole booking is handled through a separate management company, and you can’t access info through VRBO and need to make an additional account.
The kitchen was well stocked (but dated pans/utensils) and the property was very clean. But the pictures make it look nicer than it is, and the description of it being a home to yourself is misleading.

This place is tucked in a nice quite neighborhood. You are right on the airstrip and will definitely see a take off or two during your stay. The house is situated exactly for what we needed. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and enough space to stretch out and relax after a full day of activities. We will definitely check for availability next time we come to Anchorage.

We throughly enjoyed the house. Just note there are 2 flights of stairs to carry up luggage. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Location was convenient to everything including the airport. We would definitely stay again.

Overall assessment
We had a wonderful stay at our house on the airstrip! It was a great 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a VERY large kitchen and plenty of space to sit in the living area. Nice dining area as well. Outside wrap around deck with chairs though nothing to lounge in. Note the stairs up to the unit - it is well advertised but carrying a large suitcase is not for the faint of heart. I would definitely stay again. It's also close to stores and easy access to the highways. Fun watching the neighbors fly in and out. We had 3 siblings and spouses- great time and LOTS of great restaurants. Tony checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Love having washer and dryer as well. ENJOY!

Family rallied in Anchorage
We rallied the family together in Anchorage for a family visit with our military son. This home allowed us to bring many generations together due to number of bedrooms and additional sleeping areas. It was spacious and had great views. A bit dated but very clean. Perk was having a landing strip in your front yard with the sound beyond that view. Not next to base but it was a short drive! We would stay here again!

Fun Property!
What a fun property! The airstrip in front of it was entertaining! Small view of the ocean on a clear day and mountains. If you like peace and quiet this is a great stay!

Fun place!
We rented this as part of our Alaskan Honeymoon. The place is really unique and has tons of space, would be great for a family trip. We even saw a moose in the backyard which was neat! We didn't know this but wish it was listed that the owner stays in the bottom garage half of the place. He's very friendly, but you do hear him a bit and he takes his plane out frequently which is kind of cool but also noisy. The place also gets a ton of light and could use better room darkening curtains for the Alaskan summers. Overall it was a good stay and it a good location especially if you don't want to stay in the city itself.

Great time!!
We had a great time and Tony was such a fun character to talk to. I normally don’t like interacting with the homeowners, but Tony was delightful and helpful.
