Good space, lots of separate areas for our family Location and beach access outstanding
Note to owner: 5 coffee cups and no small glasses or wine glasses is unusual for that large a house 😎

We had 8 people easily fit and enjoy this house and the rooms and beds worked out perfectly. The house isn't new so there are some issues but nothing that would keep us from renting again - minor things like small showers and lacking in some supplies. These are details I'll mention to the owner because they weren't serious. We did have some communication issues, namely when the house cleaners showed up the first morning we were there asking us when we were checking out because someone else was checking in! We told them we were there for 4 more days and they left and that was the last we heard, but it was a little unnerving. The beach here is perfect, not overrun with spring breakers but enough people to make it interesting. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a great time, sitting on the deck, walking the beach, listening to the waves. Loved the cottage beach vibe with so much space to spread out. Perfect for the dogs too.
4.0 / 5.0
Overall, a nice experience. The house was in a great location, with easy access to the beach, sunrise views from the deck, and lots of space for our group. And the host is very responsive! Just a few points that need work: the kitchen, though large, had a hodgepodge of cooking equipment that didn't fully serve our needs (pots with no lids, no oven-safe skillet, no tupperware); BYO coffee, tea, condiments, oil, etc; two of the bathrooms didn't have towel racks; sliding doors didn't close all the way; and the wifi was really inadequate for a house that's meant to accommodate so many people. We (group of 5) could not all be logged in at the same time. But, relatively minor hiccups on an otherwise lovely stay.

My husband and I have a large family (5 adult children, plus a couple of spouses and a couple of grandchildren) so it was perfect for everyone to have their own space. It also had a nice gathering space for everyone to eat and socialize. Steps to the beach.

We had a great time for our Christmas family gathering. The beach is right outside the door, a fantastic historical park (Washington Oaks) is 1 mile, St Augustine is 40 min. The neighborhood is quiet and the Publix is 5 min away. The house does show signs of wear on the outside, however, the interior is cozy and has a lot of space.

Beautifully decorated, spacious and airy. Lots of storage for our large group. Well thought out floor plan. Well stocked to get us started enjoying our family time. Conveniently located near grocery store and many fun local activities. Will definitely stay again. The views from the living space is outstanding. The ocean is so close is was mesmerizing to sleep to. The yard is private and landscaping pristine. We even were blessed with a visit from a nesting turtle.
I highly recommend this rental.

The house was large enough to accommodate our group of eight women. Plenty of bathrooms too. The house is close enough to the Mala Compra trail that we were able to ride our mountain bikes from the house to the Mala Compra trailhead safely. It was great to ride the trails then head straight to the beach. At the house, there was plenty of parking and safe storage for our bikes in the garage. The wifi did not work upon our arrival. We contacted the host and they had it fixed right away. The other issue we had was we were told there were 8 beds but there were only 7. This was a bit frustrating but it didn't ruin our weekend. We had a fantastic weekend.

How is absolutely perfect for a quiet time at the beach with your family. We stayed for 5 days, and it was an absolute dream. Felt like home away from home, only better.

I can not say enough about the location of this property! The view from the house is amazing, the beach is just steps away and so beautiful. It felt so peaceful and secluded being on the private beach with zero crowds. The house fit us all well. Plenty of space.
The only issue for us was that the downstairs bedrooms were musty and we weren’t allowed to lower the air so no one could sleep down there. If you don’t suffer from allergies like my family then it might not bother you. If you have more they four people staying bring extra beach chairs. The grill
Could use replacing but the nice clean kitchen was more then enough for us to cook our meals. Publix is near by and St.Augustine was a quick 30 min drive to visit. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. We had an amazing stay.

It was a good location for us, just wanting to be at the beach. Did not like the bridge toll. Did not like the cockroaches found. Did not like the fridge going out. The coffee pot had an issue and the host took care of that quickly. Host was responsive. The space was perfect for our family.

Will definitely do it again

Most showers were a little small, some aspects were outdated but overall the new deck and kitchen and beds were all great, plenty of space, so close to ocean and beautiful views, great property for the price and communication was fast as well.

A great place especially if you’re traveling with a large group, there’s SO much space for everyone. We have stayed at a lot of houses in this area and this will be the one we absolutely come back to.

This property was so close to the beach it made for a special week for us 7 adults, comprised of friends and family. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. We typically stay on the Gulf Coast, so this was our first stay on Florida's East coast, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
One of the family's that stayed drove in, (while the rest of us flew in) and it was fortunate because they brought extra beach chairs and a beach canopy. The house only had 2-3 beach chairs for a home that sleeps 10. Also, there were only 2 plastic chairs for the main deck that faces the ocean, along with a wooden picnic table. Not enough comfortable seating if you have more than two people who want to spend time enjoying the deck and the view it offers. There are no chairs provided for the decks off the bedrooms.
The couches on the main floor living area were semi-functioning. The reclining feature was difficult to open and close. Our main bedroom and one other of the bedrooms had no top sheet (flat sheet).
Our group always cooks a few nights during the week, and it was a little difficult to come up with proper pots and pans, but we made it work. There are 3 crockpots, though!
We did have a power outage the second night at 3 a.m. in which the upper half of the house lost power for about 14 hours. (No fault of the owner) Alina was very quick to do what she could to get power restored.
Having these issues addressed would greatly improve the time spent at this house.

We had a great time staying at the beach in this sweet house. Lots of comforts made it an easy win for our extended family and 2 dogs. Its easy to see a lot of improvements have been happening- like a nw deck and roof.

A family of 9 for Thanksgiving. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. They went the extra mile to make sure we could keep our vacation plans even after the damage by Hurricane Nicole. The house is older but well equipped and had plenty of room. The view from the deck and distance to the beach is spectacular and unforgettable.
4.0 / 5.0
House was nice, but needs updating. Views of Atlantic and the beach privacy in front of home were as good as it gets! Property manager Alina was very nice and helped us with all questions and concerns.
4.0 / 5.0
It was a decent place to stay. There were 8 of us and there was lots of space for us. There were a few lights out, most of the showers were super tiny, the deck was deteriorating and we had to be extra careful with the kids out there, and the last day the laundry room roof was leaking after a storm. However, in general the place was fine and the view and distance to the beach couldn't be beat. The manager also was very quick to respond to me and any needs we had.

The location was great for our family; over the dunes to the beach! This is our second rental with Alina and both times have been wonderful.

Great location, horrendous home
You can’t beat steps to the beach, so that’s the highlight of my review. Literally in your backyard is the ocean which we loved. The negative- upon arrival at check-in time, nothing in the house was clean. Beds were still stripped with linens laying around, crumbs everywhere, it was clear Cleaning did not come. I contacted the property manager, and the cleaning crew was out within 15 minutes. Of course, we had to evacuate the house for a couple hours to let them clean it which was a big bummer since we drove eight hours to get there. Once we finally got settled, we realized the listing is extremely misleading as the house is not newly renovated besides new floating laminate floors and fresh paint in the main level. Active pipe leaks in guest room ceilings (woke up to puddles on the floor beside the bed!), black mold in wall vents, the only bathtub didn’t work to stop the water to bathe our babies, ice maker didn’t work, oh and the two sets of washers and dryers - one is out of order and has been for a while given the faded sign taped to the top of the units. It’s honestly really sad because they could get an electrician and a plumber out there to fix all of the issues, and it would be a beautiful home but they probably know they don’t have to fix anything given it’s right on the beach and people will still come. If I was in my 20s in college, I wouldn’t care, but it was NOT a safe place for children. Face plates missing from electrical outlets, oh and the worst part is that the bathroom window for the kids room is literally being locked using a painters knife! I am confident this house is not even up to code. If you’re willing to overlook the gross house and desperate repairs needed to be on the beach, it’s your place to stay. But if you have children and care about their safety, I would not recommend it. I did send a list to the property agent of all the issues and she said she was completely unaware of it all. I even gave her a call the first day we were there and she never returned my call. So, either she’s never actually enter the property or she is too lazy to do right by renters and fix the house.

Ok house, nice beach
We'd never been to the area so the beach was a surprise. There are tiny shells everywhere. Different and interesting but pretty. The water was very pretty and a pretty greenish color. We really enjoyed the beach. There is an access point right next to the house but was not an issue. When I first saw that I had visions of Summer Rental with John Candy but there was no issue.
The house is right now the beach and easy access. You have to navigate up a little sandy hill. Super easy.
There is no place to wash off your feet easily before you enter the house. You have to go around the side of the house on the side the driveway is on to wash off. So if you go in through the deck you would have to enter the house with sand everywhere.
There were a zillion flies in the house when we got there. We successfully killed them all in about 2 hours. My guess is the cleaning people left the doors open while they were cleaning.
The street leading to the house were all sand/dirt. Not sure if they are always like that. There did seem to be some construction going on.
The pictures on the site were WAY nicer looking than the inside of the house. Everything was fine just not as new and nice as the pictures. Strange closest in the rooms. Not finished with exposed wires and pipes.
The loft upstairs was basically not usable as it was unbearably hot. The fan up there didn't work either.
There was an odd nasty smell at times in the room next to the master bedroom. We think it was coming from the washer off the master bedroom. The bed in the master bedroom was very noisy. It creaked each time one of us moved.
There were a few inconveniences; some random guy showed jump on the deck. My 12 year old niece saw him and scared her since she didn't know who he was. The property manager did not alert me until later that a deck guy was going to show up to measure the deck, An electrician contacted me and said they needed to get into the house. Again, no warning from property manager. A couch was delivered to the house which I agreed to but it was a complete fiasco. So lesson learned is do not agree to deliveries since you are not the property owner,

Perfect Location & Size
This was the perfect size for annual family vacation! The house had comfortable bedding and 3 kings, a queen and two twin beds. The bathrooms were a little dated, but there were 4 full baths which was wonderful for us. The BEST thing to report is the view and beach access. The large deck to view the lovely sunrise each morning was great, as well as the easy beach access! It was pet friendly, which is also a must for our crew. We plan to stay here again in the future!

Perfect place for nature lovers
Perfectly located for nature lovers—- from the deck, in addition to an endless parade of birds, we watched dolphins, spinner sharks and even a mantra ray! Perfect location unless you are interested in nightlife and thread counts

Simplicity at the beach
We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home for family vacations. The beach is beautiful and just a few steps from the house. We cooked in most nights and loved having a table that could seat all 10 of us. Some previous reviews said the pots and pans needed replacing, I took a few of my own, but while we were there a new set of cookware , new wine glasses, and 2 new beach chairs were delivered to the house. I was very impressed with the responsiveness to help make our stay more comfortable. We’d love to go back!

If I were a home by the sea....
Have you ever wandered into a home and just have it feel like a home. That is the vibe of this house. Is everything in perfect condition ..no .. But that is ok. Like I said it is a vibe that can not be replaced or manufactured. The house is cozy. And gawd knows we all love cozy. If I had only one comment. Is that whoever the previous guests are that ravage kitchen items. Need to stop. They only hurt future guests. The owners were supportive and were responsive to any problem we had. So I whole heartedly recommend this home as a "by the sea" experience for your family and friends.

Great Beach Beautiful Views
Great view, saw Turtle, Dolphins and Stingrays!
House is good, needs a little TLC . But it’s what you
As a family make out of it.
Any property can have flaws if you look hard enough.
That being said would stay here again with no problem.
Beach access is the best. St Augustine only 25 minutes away
If you love history a must visit
Thanks for a great week

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The location of the house is hard to beat. The ocean IS your backyard. We were on the beach in less than 30 seconds. The house has plenty of space and the beds are noisy (strange but true, the mattresses crinkle every time you move) but comfortable. The house needs some maintenance, roof leaked in one bedroom, refrigerator is missing some shelves which made it hard to fit food for 8 people for the week and the kitchen supplies need to be replenished. Every non stick pot and pan was unusable. They are too scratched and chipped to be safe for use. Teflon gets in your food. I went out and bought a frying pan for the week and some dish towels and pot holders which I left. Some of the decking is rotting and soft in spots and the railings are loose, some of the spindles are falling off, (two the week we were there). I dont have small children, but this would have been a major issue for me had I. Other than the obvious maintenance issues, we would rent this house again,. Good points are that there was a lot included that you dont typically see in a rental. Beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys and floats, boogie boards, linens and bath towels and a grill. We enjoyed our stay. Hopefully, the maintenance issues will be taken care of in the off season.

Great Stay.
We had a great stay. It started a little bumpy though as there were some things that needed fixed in the house. We were missing a fan blade and light bulbs in one room. One of the bathrooms did not have hot water all week. It would get luke warm but that's it. The wifi was spotty throughout the house. These were all minimal issues as we still enjoyed our stay. The closeness to the beach was amazing and the private beach was perfect. Highly recommend this place. Only things I would recommend is that they have someone check over the house thoroughly to make sure it's all clean and everything is in order before someone is set to stay there. Other than that we were very happy.
