About this house rental
Charming 1925 brick 3 bedroom, 2 full bath house, with an office. This house is within walking to many restaurants, Houck Stadium, Escape Cape, bars, down town Cape Girardeau, and the Mighty Mississippi. Also, just a short 5 minute drive to SEMO , the Show Me Center, and Century Casino. 5.4 miles from Sportsplex.

One car off street parking. On street parking as available.
Great back yard for sitting and taking in the beautiful wisteria, and other plants, and a great little front deck to watch the street views.
Please note that there is no true dining room table. It does have a dining island, and we have a TV trays available. There is a folding table and 4 folding chairs available if needed. There are out door only cameras for security. The basement is not accessible to guest.

Location worked perfect for family function in town, could easily drive back and forth. Neat and clean.

Everything about the property was as advertised. We visited the area for the Rock the Country concert, and we needed a place to sleep and get ready. It was very comfortable for four adults, we could have easily spent more time there if we had it. The kitchen was well appointed. Bathrooms stocked for guests. Very pleased, and the owner was great for us to work with before our stay for any questions.

We’ve stayed at this home several times and are so thankful we originally found it! We stay there every time we go to SEMO to see our daughter in their shows! This house has character and is in a great location. Would highly recommend :-)

I booked this beautiful historic property 2 years in advance of the eclipse. OWNER’S INTEGRITY IS OUTSTANDING!!! Others in town had stories of reservations being cancelled and their properties relisted with event price hikes, however the OWNERS HONORED THEIR BOOKING RATE. They went out of their way to make the home comfortable and welcoming. KITCHEN WELL STOCKED with dishes, utensils , spices, trash bags, appliances (including crock pot, blender and coffee grinder!). There were WELCOMING TOUCHES throughout the house - new toothbrushes, ample TP, shampoo/conditioner, towels and bedding matched and new, drawers labeled with contents, and cold water in the refrigerator for each of us. KEYLESS ENTRY worked perfectly. Thank you!!

Cozy House is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. It felt like home. I loved the decor and theme of the house which was beach and marine life with little gnomes tucked in spots throughout the house. The house was very clean and they even provided coffee and the bathroom essentials you would get in a hotel. The floors do creek a lot but that is what you would expect with a house that’s 96 years old. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This home was absolutely perfect for our stay. It exudes charm from every nook & cranny. It lacked for nothing and the owners were quick to answer any question. We would recommend this home to anyone!

The house served us well for a short stay to explore Cape Girardeau. It was clean and centrally located. It is a tastefully renovated older home that retained the atmosphere of it's era; creaky wood floors, small rooms and old style plumbing. It was tight when preparing and serving meals. We had breakfast at this home and ate larger meals at restaurants. I would rate it higher, but felt it would be unfair to other, upscale VRBO properties we have rented.

This house was great being centrally located to campus and the downtown area. Restaurants are within walking distance. The house is cozy and comfortable. We made dinner one evening and found all the cooking supplies we needed. At night it was quiet and we all slept comfortably! Overall our stay was perfect!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Cape area. Look no further this is it. Quiet little house with plenty of room to accommodate whatever the occasion is. Easy to find, clean and access to plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Of we are back in the area we will be staying here.

This is an adorable home! It was very clean! The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of blankets, towels, etc s.
The host did a great job with the decor and it was very homey. The only issue with the house itself is the floors are squeaky and it is located right off a busy street so it is a bit loud at night if you go to sleep early with traffic noise. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The house itself is older, but has been redone and was just right for the 4 of us. The kitchen had necessary items to cook breakfast and make coffee. The house is very clean which is extremely important. You can tell the owners take care of it. There is a couple of things that could be further improved, but overall the house is kept up, clean and the location is great! It is right by Broadway, so very convenient for shopping downtown. The owners are very responsive and friendly. Great stay over the holiday and appreciate the hospitality.

Quiet, cozy, unique little house
My family and I drove up for a volleyball tournament this weekend. The house was absolutely perfect. We love staying @ VRBO's versus staying @ a hotel. Just being able to have more room and feel like we are @ home is awesome.

This is a lovely house, spotless and comfortable. The house was well stocked with towels, the kitchen has everything and the beds were very comfortable. The location made it easy to find our way around town. We had a wonderful time and the house had everything we needed! Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay! Great location with plenty of parking-accommodated our two cars. Close to SEMO main campus and the River Campus. It’s an older home but has been upgraded and very well maintained with lots of fun decor. Will stay again next time we come to Cape. Thank you!
