The staff were very welcoming people. It was important for them to make sure I had a confortable time. The food was delicious, very refine Lebanese meals on the menu. The breakfast was served with fresh bread and croissants and some spreads, plenty of coffee/tea. The host and staff are kind and funny people. Very honestly, I recommend anybody to come spend some times in Gien to go to Villula. Thank you.

Lit confortable et accueil sympathique
Le petit déjeuner trop industriel
3.8

Neu renoviert.

Very friendly Lebanese owner and his very healthy and good tasting home made Lebanese meal. Breakfast was also good (brown bread, croissants, Twinings tea 😊).
Two separate beds is not the most romantic setting. But for one night it's a good place to be!

Pretty basic, but everything works well. Great value for money. Very good dinner and breakfast. Very friendly and helpful host
It's a bit untidy outside.

Very welcoming couple.... Lovely rooms, comfy bed and the food was excellent. Definitely recommend this place as a stopover

Small independent flat at the back of a house.
Clean and confortable, nothing fancy. Kitchen and kettle!
Very good price and decent lebanese evening meal. Friendly family ownership.
Continental breakfast just adequate but hey we are not breaking the bank here! Good wifi
Able to provide secure lock up for bicycles!
Easy walk to town center along the river.
Nothing really, perhaos juice with breakfast

It was a good layout, I had the whole anex to myself, it also included breakfast, the host is very welcoming and helpful over all very pleased.

Host was very helpful and attentive. Offered a wonderful welcome and kept us updated prior to arrival.
Prepared a wonderful evening meal and breakfast served in the room at agreed times.
Room is annex of main property, with dining area, kitchenette with kettle and hot drink ingredients, bathroom and twin bedded room with TV.
Basic accommodation close to main road into Gien. Parking across the road and woken by cock crowing at 5:15.

More spacious than we expected. Good breakfast was delivered to our appartment, including fresh eggs from the owner's chickens. We had 2 good evening meals, cooked by the Lebanese owner, which we really enjoyed, so much so that I asked him for one of the recipes, which he willingly gave me. Location suited us for a stop on the way home via Dieppe. We stayed for 2 nights, so had a free day when we visited the châteaux of Gien (walking distance) and Sully sur Loire. Very interesting and welcoming host.
Maybe cushions on the dining chairs, but that is being very picky.

Beds adequately comfortable and the roof didn't leak - these are only good things I can say about the place. Not surprised that they take payment before you arrive.
Property not in the centre of Gien - though within reasonable walking distance - but this is something I should have checked on beforehand.
This appeared to be place in advanced meltdown, from what we could see through the windows of the state of owners' own part of the premises. Breakfast risible - consisting of 1 glass of orange juice , 1 banana, some stale bread, and a little jam and marmalade. No tea or coffee on offer. Kitchenette had microwave, a dirty looking kettle and some sachets of tea and coffee - but no cups/mugs or other crockery and no teaspoons or other cutlery. Bathroom basic.

Very convenient location directly on the Loire river! The room was nice and just what we needed. There was a small equipped kitchenette, a designated indoor and outdoor seating area to eat and enjoy coffee. Host has been welcoming, nice and attentive to our needs. WiFi performance was beyond my expectation for a remote town in the middle of France.
It was a pleasant stay overall.

Rarely have I felt so welcomed. Eating the beautiful home-cooked dinner with this lovely Lebanese family on their terrace was a real joy. The top-floor flat is spacious and comfortable for a single traveller. I would definitely come here again.
There was nothing I didn’t like. If you’re looking for somewhere that is fun, interesting and a bit different, then you’ll love this.

Self-contained studio (or "granny flat") at the back of the house, not a hotel room.
Nice warm baguette for breakfast.
Complimentary glass of juice, with nuts, on arrival.
No milk available (even on request), so unable to take advantage of the coffee / tea making facilities.
Communicating door from the main house was locked, but could have been unlocked from the house, making the studio flat insecure.
Occupants of the house smoked, and the smell was not completely kept out by the communicating door.
New windows and front door still had protective tape on them.
Clearly an ordinary house, showing its age, no frills.
Clear window, and no blind, in the shower cubicle.
Patio was being laid, so I had to tread carefully over the work-in-progress in order to get to my front door.
Garden window right next to the bed, so workmen in the garden could see into the room if the curtains were open.

the owner is trying really hard to make this a great place, amazing fresh breakfast
the room was quite smoky smelling, not sure if it was the room or the attached living quarters.
3.8
Very friendly host and a fantastic breakfast served on the terrace. Very good facillities for two friends touring on motorcycles.
Everthing at Villula was great, however the location was a good walk from Gien centre, but as the walk was by the river it was ok.

the host is very warm and welcoming.
we enjoyed his homemade vegetarian lebanese meal and breakfast with fried eggs from his own hens.

All was fine

Amazing experience! All food is home cooked and delicious, and the company even better! Don't miss the chance of having a cup of tea with the owner! We stayed just for a night but we felt like at home. Absolutely recomended!

Hospitality and the excellent food. We were lucky to be invited to a BBQ being held for family and friends. We were made to feel welcome and share the meal. The beds were good for a tall person and very clean and comfortable. Our host made us a typical Lebanese breakfast as we were too tired to make the evening meal. It seemed nothing was too much trouble. An excellent, genuine and interesting place to stay.
I'm large and the bathroom was a little small for me.
