Our group of 13 family members from 5 to 70 thoroughly loved our 9 days at Stenton House. The house and property are much more beautiful and spacious than the online pictures show. The location is ideal for day trips with many sites within easy driving time, or plenty to do if you just want to hang out at the property. Claire T. was exceptional help to us and answered our questions quickly. If you have a group don’t miss this place!

The photos online don't properly do justice to this property. It is absolutely stunning. Every detail is just gorgeous including all of the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, lovely garden, and access to the river. You will not be disappointed!

It is a beautiful and very unique property. It has been extremely well maintained and could not be more comfortable. The grounds are spectacular and no detail has been spared in the design of the home.

Everything about this property is top notch. The rooms were amazing. The common areas were great for gatherings .
Waking up each morning was a delight. Looking out the large windows and seeing the well kept grounds and river was special
I hope I find a reason to return
The host and cleaner/manager was always a joy to contact.

Our family of 14 stayed at the Stenton House for one week and we could not have been more impressed by this beautiful property and the staff that maintains it. The house is magnificent as well as the surrounding grounds that provided both solitude and sporting opportunities for our family that loves the outdoors. We took advantage of fishing the river with Colin the property’s fishing guide and Claire the housekeeper was always available to provide anything we needed. The Dunkeld location is perfect for exploring the small local towns and we even took a great ride on the train to Edinburgh. Stenton House is a slice of Heaven on earth!

My family recently stayed at this wonderful Dunkeld house and it was one of the very best places we have ever rented. This is one of those rare cases when the photos actually don't do the house or the grounds justice. Its truly gorgeous, from the manicured lawn to the stunning gardens to the seating areas overlooking the Tay (where I had coffee every morning). The house had so much room, comfortable beds, huge bathrooms, a beautiful formal dining room, large billiards room, wine refrigerator and more. Dave and Jane are a delight -- they were incredibly helpful and very responsive throughout our stay. I cant recommend the Stenton Mansion House enough. Can't wait to return.

The Stenton Estate was perfect for the family Scotland holiday of my wife and I, our two sons and their wives, and our five grandkids ranging from 7-13. The house is spectacular; the photos don't do it justice. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and elegant, and spread across the second and third floors to provide privacy. Although the formal family room and salon are beautiful, we spent most of our time in the huge kitchen and breakfast room. However, the beautiful formal dining room provided plenty of room for our catered anniversary dinner.
The manicured grounds are just as magnificent as the house. The housekeepers live just down the road and were friendly, attentive and helpful. The owner helped us arrange two days of river fishing (with boat included) with the local Ghillie, Colin, who entertained us with his many fishing stories. Colin also arranged a guided stalk for our son, who killed a trophy Roe Deer.
The owner, Clare Parkes, was very helpful, attentive, and accessible, and always ready to answer questions and provide local information.
We can't wait to return to Stenton!

The property was a truly unique experience and was a great way to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends.

Beautiful property
Unusually, the description does not give full justice to just how beautiful and well presented this property is. It was very easy to communicate with the owners and the assistance of the housekeeper was a bonus.
