This is our second time staying here, and it’s perfect for our family. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

We love everything about this property. We have booked several times and we will be back!

We wanted a lake front property with a dock we could use and that’s exactly what this house provided. We had a great family vacation.

If you’re looking for a modern, up to date, pristine place, this is not what you are looking for.
If you’re looking for a perfect lake house with the old time lake vibe, this is it! We love the convenience in getting to the water/lake. Most of our time is spent on the wonderful dock.
My only suggestion is for the toilets, in the house, to be replaced/updated. They are entirely too low.

Absolutely beautiful views of the lake from almost every room made up for run down condition of property.

Great house for a family getaway. House is very outdated but adds to a great “lake vibe.
Could, definitely use some maintenance (leaky pipe(s) under kitchen sink).
Awesome to have stairs into lake off of dock!
Lake water was very low which led to tracking through mud to get to dock.
House is, definitely, overpriced.

1980’s house that has a large room for family to gather. This was our third year in a row. Quiet property that provides plenty of relaxation.

I hesitate to right a good review, want the house to be available for us. Love this house, perfect location.
This is our 2nd stay here. Concerns we shared the first time were already fixed. Just a perfect lake house, open living room, open yard with plenty of shade, wonderful dock with cover. Every room has a view of the lake. Bring your family and friends, relax, don’t sweat the small stuff. Have fun.

This property is perfect for a 2 family getaway. It is an older home, you will not find it updated, but you will find a great place to enjoy the lake and make memories.

We enjoyed the stay-cation in the house. We had plenty of room. The house has issues with the sliding glass doors, steps and decks.

This cabin put us on the lake with a beautiful view of the lake in a fairly rural setting, and a dock from which I caught a few fish and Wylie enjoyed sunning. It is within close proximity to groceries, restaurants and the charms of downtown Hartwell. Also close to the Lake Hartwell's dam and the levy, which makes for scenic and peaceful hiking. Inside, we found all the comforts of home. Our second stay here, and it likely will not be our last.

Such a great location for a week/weekend at the lake. Yes, house could use a little TLC, but very functional and comfortable.

This is a great house, with an amazing lake view, located close to downtown Hartwell. Open floor plan, multiple large outdoor patio spaces, and a huge sunroom. We had an incredible time and will definitely be going back!

Beautiful waterfront home! Close to town! House could use a little TLC but, overall, we had a wonderful Spring Break at this property. We will definitely book again.

The location is wonderful and the outside of the property is great. The common area inside the house is very roomy and perfect for many people to gather comfortably. The property manager was very quick to respond to the questions I had prior to arrival. The 3 star rating is due to the chronic dirtiness, sleep space and temperature variances within the house. There were cobwebs with dirt trapped in them., dust on surfaces all over the house and the inside of the kitchen cabinets were dirty. This place needs a DEEP cleaning. There were ants in the kitchen when we arrived so we were careful to not leave out any food. The listing states it sleeps 12, but know that there is only bed space for 8, and you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the bedroom in the back of the house. There is a futon in the screened in porch area that I guess is supposed to be for 2 and 2 sofas in the common area that would be for 2 more. The temperature in the primary bedroom (that you must walk through to get to the back bedroom) would be too hot, while the common area and 2 bedrooms immediately off that area were too cold. That issue would not be a deal breaker if the place was clean. The decor is a bit outdated, but as with the temp variance, this would not keep me from staying here again, but the dirtiness of the house would.

Cabin had ample space for 8. Great dock/lake access. Ample parking. Great for a weekend getaway for a fishing trip or a small family vacation. Not glamorous, but functional. Beware of the skylight in master if you wanna sleep past dawn. Bring your own entertainment in case you get rained in. I suggest repairs to back deck railings and steps as well as labeling light switches.

Very peaceful lake front property combined with large open floor plan home. Located in a nice friendly town. Property manager very attentive and excellent communication.

Great Lake trip! House has a great layout, spacious, clean. Def could use some renovations (ex dirty carpet) but overall very functional. The only negative I had was the back yard and the cobwebs! It looked like no one had knocked them down in months on the screened in porches, trash all up in the hedges and the grass was not mowed. ( wanted to set up outdoor games but didn’t, it was up to my knee caps) 🤨. Would recommend but would ask them to have that taken care of ahead of time.

The house is nice, but needs better cleaning and new shower heads. We enjoyed all of the porches. There's big yard and very nice dock. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
4.5
Wonderful home! The family room brought us all together and the comfortable dock, beautiful backyard, and porches are making us want to go back again. One bedroom is connected to the master which was perfect for the younger kids and the skylights were great additions making the rooms lighter. The porches made it easy to take our pups out to swim or play fetch. We will be back for sure!

Family vacation
This house is so spacious! Plenty of room for 7 people! The access to the lake is perfect and the property is very private! The carpet needs to be replaced because very soiled and bathroom toilets and showers need updating. The exterior of the house and screened in porch needs pressure washed. Too many spider webs for my comfort. Overall we had a good stay at this property.

Beautiful property. We would love to return for a longer stay in the future. I nice alternative to the muggy Salt Life here on the Georgia Coast.

Great house for family getaway! Excellent layout in house but could use some upgrades. Great for boating and fishing.

House needed some upgrades and deep cleaning on the carpets and oven vent. One bedroom was on the other side of master bedroom. Bedspreads should be unisex as my grandson would not sleep in pink bedroom. Lightbulbs were missing in some lamps. Fireplace did not work.

We've stayed in Mtn Lakes properties 4-5 times, and this was our second time in this house. Jessi is EXTREMELY helpful and pleasant; she's the reason we've stayed with Mtn Lakes.
This house is one we really like - being a pet-friendly house, there are some carpet stains, etc., but overall the house is clean, and the lake, dock, firepit, and other amenities are excellent. As others have noted, the house is considerably more spacious than the pictures indicate. The two bedrooms with the Jack-and-Jill bath are a little small (and some fixtures are dated), but the master is large. The fourth bedroom is a little unusual since the only access is through the MBR. This wasn't a problem for us on our previous stay since our adult kids with children used the MBR, and had their kids in the 4th bedroom (we didn't need 4th bedroom this stay). Single-level living is a plus for us, and it's a good workable house for pets.

My Mom, children and I rented this home for a Thanksgiving getaway. The house is so spacious and we loved sitting in the sun room and looking at the water. It was too cold for any water activities but we would return in the summer. Owner was great to work with and responded quickly.

The pics don't give you the whole pic of just how much living space was available. The main living area was massive. Plenty of room for our family to enjoy the Clemson vs Wake Forest game. We really loved the space.
Did notice it looked like the air filters in the floor could be changed out. Beds were comfortable.
Unfortunately was disappointed that there was not an easy access to the dock. It appeared that the owners were rebuilding steps but it was a beautiful view and my son in law gave his go at fishing from the dock. Too cold to catch anything but enjoyed his time.

This house is an absolute great location with lots of seating inside and out to enjoy the lake. The front entrance is also very relaxing. Beds were very comfortable. Perfect for two couples with bedrooms being on either side of the huge, huge living area.

I would give the house a rating of 4.5, as it is better than a 4 .The house was perfect for our needs. It is an older house that could use some updating, but overall it was good. The beds and furniture were comfortable and an ample supply of towels and wash clothes. Most of our time was spent in the sunroom looking out at the lake. We liked the tile floors that were in most of the house because we didn't have to worry about the dogs ruining carpeting. The house was clean. The carpets in the bedrooms were stained and could used replacing, as well as the shower heads. Some of the screen doors from the bedrooms were in disrepair, but we didn't use them, so it wasn't an issue. The one bedroom requires you to walk through another bedroom to get to the bathroom, but again being with family, it wasn't an issue. The location was convenient to everything. If you are looking for a new, updated house, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a clean house, with a great view of the lake, and that will meet a families needs, this is it. One thing to note, if you are bringing a boat on a trailer, you need to back the boat in, as there is not enough room to turn a trailer. The driveway can be a little tricky backing the trailer in, but we managed.

The living area is spacious with endless porches - all with lake views. Gentle slope to the dock. Beautiful, no GORGEOUS sunrises and sunsets. Gun Branch Ramp was amazing go launching the boat for a long weekend. Cooked in two evenings and out to Chicago Steakhouse the 3rd night. Each night more delightful than the one before. I want to go back again.
