Cool place to stay in a great location. Beds and rooms were comfortable and the pool table was a good addition to the fun we had.
Kitchen (dishes) and master bath could have been a little cleaner upon arrival. Other than that it was great and would recommend staying there to others.

Nice place

This was a very nice lake house and property. My family and I had a good time playing pool and swimming in the lake. Very nice house but could use a deep cleaning, spider webs in places and dusty other than that the house was great and the king size bed was very comfortable and the fenced in yard was great for my daughters Labradoodle 😊

10 times better than staying in a hotel

Had a great time on the lake.
The free boat rental was a wonderful add on. The guys at the Marina are very friendly

Very nice quiet getaway house is spacious, coupon for pontoon was great enjoyed the day with fishing swimming boating. Passed to the boat dock not so easy boat dock was nice. Could use some night lights for night fishing and no joke about the driveway. That is one steep driveway. Other than that we had a great time. Thank you.

Great place

The place was dirty and unkept. All areas and items were disorganized and sloppy. The mattresses in the basement were full of spiders. When accessing the pull out bed in the living room - absolutely filthy underneath.
No mattress pads on any of the beds. We are a very easy going family who understand normal wear and tear are expected but this place does not have a shred of hospitality. No care or effort put in at all. Extremely disappointing vacation.

Let me start by saying, we absolutely Loved the layout of this house!! It was amazing. We brought our little family down to the area to look for waterfalls and we found them and so much more. The house was homey and comfortable. The property manager was on top of her game and her recommendations were perfect for us. We definitely will be back. This was one of our absolute favorite vacation spots!!

So I am never a negative person, I know everyone is working hard these days while being short staffed, so it kills me to leave any kind of unhappy review. But this was just a little bit more than I could smile through.
First off, the house itself is great. The location was convenient for what we needed, the fenced yard was nice, the layout was great. Comfortable beds and fairly well stocked. We didn’t use the dock as frigid temps set in while we were there. But I could see that being a great amenity in the spring and summer. The house itself, really nice.
But this house is one of the dirtiest rentals I have ever stayed in. Everything throughout the house was coated with dust, the baseboards had dirt caked onto them, the dishes were all in need of a wash, there were dust bunnies in the corners. A lot of the bulbs were out in the house as well. My main issue was in the master bathroom. It looked as though it had not been cleaned between renters. Upon arrival, the floor had hair all over it, the shower and counter were coated with dust and hair, the toilet had a mold ring, the bath rugs were coated in hair. The worst part was the towels hanging in there were obviously dirty. One being wrinkled and damp, and the other having obvious makeup on it. Upon washing it all when we arrived, all stains were gone, and hair was out of the mats. I vacuumed up all the hair in the floor myself as well. When washing everything in the laundry room, there was more hair and dust bunnies in the floor that I didn’t bother with. But it was pretty gross. We happily took off most of our trash, minus one bag that we weren’t sure the dump would be open to take and tipped the housekeeping for it, but didn’t feel compelled to leave much more. It was just very obvious not much had been done to clean it up between renters. I vacuumed and wiped counters before we left in hopes that would help the next guests. They just so happened to have a renter in us that are just extreme clean freaks. I can shrug off a lot being that way, but I have to draw the line at a dirty bathroom with dirty towels.
All in all, it was an enjoyable stay, I just really wish I didn’t go on vacation to clean up where I was staying before I even got my bags in.

The entire process was very easy whether it be booking, property manager communication, finding the property or navigating the property. All amenities were available. Pay attention walking from upstairs (main level) to downstairs level with second bedroom and pool table because they're alittle steep. Driveway is steep and windy so parking in the right direction is important. All in all we loved it and will definitely return! Easy to get to highway!

Visited the kids at Clemson for the NC State game. Easy drive to Clemson from properly. Enjoyed the beautiful setting of the lake and quiet surroundings. It was great for my wife and kids. My father (91) had some issues getting down to the lake since it is a little uneven walk but the surroundings were worth it once down. My dog loved running the shoreline.

We enjoyed the pool table and the home was roomy for a family of 4. The 3 hour complementary boat rental was great! The home did not feel clean, lights out, broken gates tied by bungee cords, dirty doors and thick dust. The bedding needs improvement. No view of the lake and it could be difficult for someone to get to the dock when the water is low .There are unleashed dogs next door that made it impossible to walk our dog. We should have looked closer at the location, the HWY is very close and it was LOUD, constant noise. You are required IN ADDITION to the cleaning fee to pay $5 per bag of garbage or put it in your car and throw away at another location.

The lake was beautiful.
The house was what you call surface cleaned.
The windows need cleaning bad.
The window doors leading to back decks need cleaning bad.
I cleaned the bugs off the outside windows and doors and jams myself.
The living room carpet has a foul odor.
The main shower has mildew on inside shower curtain which is unsanitary especially for someone with lung issues.
The dock to the lake was broken, partially underwater. This also caused steep incline getting to the dock.
It was a beautiful home, the lack.of maintenance I would think is of no knowledge to the owner of the property.

After a connection thru the DNA site, 23andMe led us to learn we are first cousins and after a lot of correspondence via calls, texts, and emails with numerous new family members, my new cousin and I rented this lovely lake house so that we could finally meet in person and to introduce her to her family. She got to meet her father, some aunts, more cousins, her sister, nieces and nephews, and many more.
We had a wonderful time during our stay. We did a small cookout for the UGA vs Oregon game and had some of the family over. Her new family is mostly all UGA fans. Go Dawgs! She is from Oregon and a big fan of the Ducks. We do not need to remind her how that game went.
We enjoyed shooting pool downstairs. The table is in great shape and played very well.
We spent a few evenings on the dock when the weather was nice and I threw out a line or two. I was able to catch two small bass and a small catfish.
The location is nice if you're looking for a spot to stay close to a Clemson game if you like them. For us, it was great because most of our family lives in Hartwell or close by, yet giving some buffer to give the feeling of being away from town.
The dogs loved the fenced-in yard and they both got to experience stairs for the first time. That was a fun challenge with a 3-year-old boxer and a 6-month-old mastiff. By the end of the week, they were both pros at the stairs.
I highly recommend the place. The kitchen is a bit small, but it is loaded with all of the cooking equipment you'll need. I brought my portable pellet smoker for the cookout, but they also have a small GreenEgg and a Webber charcoal grill. Between the three grills, I was able to smoke a rib eye roast, a bone-in pork roast, a small pork picnic for pulled pork, and an elk shoulder that I reverse seared on the Webber at high heat when complete. This was just for the small cookout.
If you're looking for a dog-friendly rental on the lake with a fenced yard, look no further. We'll be renting this house again!

The home was neat and clean- we brought our two pups and they loved the fenced in back yard!

We had a relaxing weekend. Great location in a quiet neighborhood close to the The Harbor Light Marina, the Fairplay Recreation Area, and the public boat ramp. We took advantage of the 1/2 day coupon pontoon rental that came with the VRBO and paid a little extra to upgrad to the full day boat rental. The coupon can only be used on Fridays which was fine because we arrived on Thursday. We brought our 2 dogs with us and the fenced in backyard was awesome for potty breaks and playing fetch. The pool table in the basment was fun entertainment in the evening. I would recommend adding a couple more tv's in the house, especially in the game room area there is only one tv in the living room. I would definetly rent this house again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, the ac was cool. Enjoyed the deck and swimming off the dock. Kitchen was well appointed. Pool table kept my boys entertained for hours. House is much larger than it appears from pictures and description. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great vacation.

The property manager was very responsive each time I sent a message. Loved that the rental came with a half day pontoon rental, our teen girls had a blast tubing for the first time ever! Only downfall with the property was that it could definitely use a deep clean as the dust was pretty thick in many areas and some repairs needed to be made on the downstairs banister and the narrow part of the back deck. Overall though, the layout was great for traveling with teens because they had their own space downstairs and we spent a good amount of time just hanging out on the dock. Just wish the lake view were a little better because in the summer time, the trees are full and overgrown so you can’t really enjoy the view without actually walking out to the water.

We enjoyed the home and having use of the boat dock. Great location and very quiet neighborhood.

Nice getaway
Accomodations were nice and spacious, hosting agent was great, bath and kitchen clean but not rugs/furniture... lots of animal hair ..which may not bother some, host apologized and indicated it would improve. Long stairs...19 steps between floors. 1/2 day pontoon rental a definite plus schedule as soon as possible.
Good HVAC. Great sitting porches. Kitchen was stocked ok, galley style. Really Steep drive. We would return again.

Easy renting. Great check in & out process

Spacious house and nice private location, but needs a thorough cleaning. It is to be expected when a rental is pet friendly, that one would find some pet hair, but the amount of pet hair I swept up was just not acceptable. I found 2 vacuums downstairs, but neither had any suction. The floors also need to be mopped. Only a very dirty sponge mop found. There is thick dust on every surface, the upstairs tub is clogged and drains slowly, and the baby gate isn't sufficient, so keeping our little one from falling down the stairs was a bit of a challenge.
The beds are fairly comfy. We enjoyed the pool table and the dock. The fire pit is also a plus.
Overall we made the best of everything and had a good time with our kids.

My wife and I were celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary and every year we would like to experience something new on our trip. This year it fell on staying at the lake. The house was like a house out of a book. The outside was very neat and tidy and gave the impression of actually staying in the mountains. It just gets better from there. The inside had a very cozy feeling, very clean, and plenty of space for two or a large family. We enjoyed a good game of pool downstairs, and movies on the big screen above the fire place. The back porch had a view of a large fenced in yard for our fur buddy also. We were able to walk to the dock through a very short path through the woods (maybe 45 sec. walk) and if our dog didn’t want to go we could easily put him in the backyard to soak up some sunshine. The dock was also kept clean and easily used for swimming or for fishing. Plus, the evening sunsets are a great way to unwind from the day and to enjoy a great beverage. This place was just the medicine we needed to rekindle our marriage and to relax from the stresses of life. I highly recommend this home..
