This vacation rental is located on the property of Smugglers’ Notch Resort, so you'll enjoy access to some of the finest skiing and snowboarding in the eastern United States. Beginners will love taking it easy on Curley's Cutback and Midway, while advanced skiers can shred Birch Run and Ruthie's. There are ski runs for everyone here, with access to beginner (green), intermediate (blue), and advanced (black diamond) terrain available. Ski school and private lessons are also available for kids (and adults too)! After a day on the slopes, enjoy an après-ski meal at one of the resort’s on-site restaurants, such as Hearth & Candle.
During other seasons, you’ll be just minutes from one of the region’s top disc golf courses, hiking trails, one of the nation’s best ziplines, and a variety of other outdoor activities. Numerous mountain biking trails are located a short ride away as well. In winter and summer, let the free, on-demand shuttle take you anywhere on the resort property, including to the slopes, multiple restaurants, a pizzeria, a convenience store, and even a local Ben & Jerry’s, all located within a short drive in the Smugglers’ Notch village. In the summer, lace up your sneakers and access the village on foot via the convenient walking trail (though the shuttle is still available if you'd rather take it easy).
Hikers will love being a short drive from Vermont’s tallest peak, Mount Mansfield, and other great hiking and walking trails. Bikers and runners will find the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, New England's longest rail trail at a whopping 93 miles in length, only 14 miles away. You can also see the whole area in a new way with Lamoille Valley Bike Tours or by paddling a canoe or kayak down the Lamoille River.
In addition to on-site shopping and dining located at Smugglers’ Notch, this home is located a short drive from the town of Jeffersonville, home to scrumptious breakfasts at 158 Main and local products at the Farm Store. Those visiting outside of the winter months will be a 28-mile drive through “The Notch” from the quaint town of Stowe, where you can explore the grounds of the famous Von Trapp Family Lodge, tee it up at Stowe Country Club, and take in the views at Stowe Mountain Resort. (Stowe Mountain Resort is only four-and-a-half miles away in the summer and fall, but once snow hits, Route 108 is closed until the snow melts in spring.

We were owners here many years ago. We loved coming back. Kestrels are in a nice location

Great location. Very clean. Somewhat dated but cleanliness was a big factor in our comfort.

We were suppose to have a hot tub and swimming pool. There was water in neither. ..
My contract stated I would have these amenities. Guess what….not..
I am sure for what I paid for this condo I paid plenty extra for pool and hot tub.
I have called at least 7 times and no response.
Trust me book with someone else. Forget Vaasa.

Dated but cozy accommodations. They could have provided more supplies for the kitchen like hand towels, a cleaning agent, dish rags, trash bags, etc. as this place is pretty remote and hard to obtain supplies. We brought a lot of our own stuff but still needed a few basics. WIFI was not good. Furniture is dated but sturdy and the rooms overall were spacious and laid out well for a comfortable stay. It was quite hot in the unit often even though we kept lowering the thermostat to 67 or 68, not sure if it was working. Overall enjoyed our stay but some easy improvements could be made to make it better.

We were really impressed with this condo! The place was very spacious, extremely clean and had a great layout. We have stayed at Smuggs before and were worried as this condo was a bit further from the slopes than where we had been before (Telemark). However this was a MUCH better experience. The shuttle was extremely convenient and efficient. The condo was warm, cozy and very spacious for 2 families. We cooked/ate all of our meals in the condo without issue. Hope to be able to return to this condo next year.

The quality, comfortable space was perfect for a post wedding gathering had for my niece. The beautiful gas fireplace took the morning chill out of air too. Glad I reserved with VRBO, because other units in resort were very outdated w/fire alarms going off, due to either owned by resort or through Airb&b.

This was our first stay in Smuggler's Notch and we didn't know exactly what to expect with our living conditions but we were more than pleased with our stay in Kestrel! The 3 bed, 2 bath condo was perfect for our family of 6. It was clean, spacious and had 2 different balconies. Great views of the mountains as well. We would definitely come back and try to stay in Kestrel again.

Very roomy, close to all the fun, far enough away to be really quiet. Lots of towels, well stocked kitchen, paper and soap products. Great launching pad for local fun.

We were all very happy with our condo and the overall properties. It was clean, spacious and had a great view of the mountains. The kids loved the water slide. We thought the cost of the day pass for the other activities was too much.

Wonderful stay for a long ski weekend. Plenty of room, warm and welcoming from our first steps. All amenities were as described. Already planning our next trip to Smugg!

The home was spacious, very clean, and fully stocked with dishes, cooking supplies, etc. We loved all of the streaming apps loaded into the TV too! We had a great time!

Nice condo, would stay here again.

It’s so cozy with the fireplace, and very spacious! We appreciated the l-shaped seating, the variety of TV channels, the hot tub just outside the door, the kitchen appliances…I would just bring a spatula and an oven mitt next time. The only caveat: One son said the mattresses were bad (he’s very fussy); the other said they were bearable. Mine was fine. I would definitely rent this lovely unit again!

This place was wonderful, spacious, cozy. Mattresses were bad per my 22 year old. Mine was fine. I’ll definitely try to rent it again!

This was my first time using vrbo and it will be my last. First when we arrived we were given the incorrect lock box code. No luck getting anyone on the phone from the app so after close to an hour wait someone from the resort got us in. They told us they'd be back with hour keys which didn't happen. The next morning I went to the help desk to get our keys. At this point they told us we were scheduled to be out of the room that morning when we had paid for another night. The woman at the front desk said she would activate the keys long enough for us to get our things out which made me feel sick. Getting ahold of vrbo was difficult. By the time we made it back to our room the keys had been deactivated.
The whole ordeal caused us to miss out on a hike we had planned. No complaints on the room itself, but the hot tub advertised was not in working order either. Would have been nice to know. Overall the whole ordeal with this app has a big impact on our vacation

A lovely stay for our Vermont vacation. Everything was clean, comfortable. Only problem was our main tv did not work but we were there for the resort not the shows. Great time

This unit was perfect for our graduation celebration for our son. We brought 5 of my sons friends and the layout of the unit was perfect! The unit had everything we needed and plenty of space for my husband and I to enjoy the space, while letting the kids have their space. They loved being able to walk up to the recreation center to play volleyball or to walk down to the Resort center for some ice cream. We came to the area for the kids to rock climb. The boulder area was close enough that we were easily able to drop them off for the day and then go explore the area. We love this area and this was the perfect place for our group.

Good stay!
The property was impecable. The only problem was that the listing describes a hot tub but the hot stub was unavailable. Next time please let us know in advance if the hot tub is working or not. Overall it was good.

Beautiful well maintained property! great value for Smugglers Notch
The property is well maintained and the view from the condo's expansive porch, hot tub and steam shower were popular bonuses with our crowd. Strongly recommend this condo ( the Kestrels) over the older. smaller less appointed condos that are slope side. Extraordinary value for this condo.
The only negative comment I can make...I am struggling here... is that there was no spatula. I kept meaning to buy one for the condo but forgot each time I went into Jeffersonville for supplies.

Great place
This place was very nice; clean and open concept. Having access to the hot tub in the building was bonus and a short walk to the indoor pool was convenient too.

Smuggs
Beautiful, clean and comfortable condo. My only dissatisfaction was with vacasa. They would not accommodate a late check out and we had bad weather roll in over night.

Amazingly Clean!
Property is beautiful and really clean. Once you walk in and look around you can feel how clean the place is. Everything was wonderful. My one and only issue was with housekeeping coming way too early the day of checkout. They came on two separate occasions and both time didn’t knock just used the code to enter, luckily I used the chain so they were not able to enter but what if I didn’t and wasn’t dressed and they decided to walk right in on me. Checkout is at 10am they tried to enter at 8:52 and 9:30. Other than that it was a lovely stay and will book again in the future.

Exceptional property, good experience

There were 3 adults and 5 kids with our group when we visited last weekend. The condo was beautiful, spacious, and VERY clean!
The hot tub is just down the hall, and the indoor and outdoor pools are a very short walk away.
The screened-in porch was our favorite hang out spot! It was so peaceful and quiet.
We will definitely be back!
