We had a great stay! Everything was really nice! Hosts communicated very well. We didn’t have any issues but I feel they would’ve been resolved quickly had there been any. Would love to come again!

A black bear came up on the deck and looked in the door and turned around and walked away

The view is possibly the best in the smokies. Absolutely gorgeous. Management emailed saying that before leaving anything less than a 5 star review to let them know of issues. After notifying them about the issues they asked which cabin I was in then never responded anymore. So here’s the whole thing. The house appears nice but there a mouse problem, the air conditioner doesn’t remotely keep up with set temperature during the day, and discovered on the last day that the ceiling leaks. The indoor hot tub only gets roughly 3/8 full before the water heater runs out and only 2 of the 6+ jets work. Multiple light bulbs out through out the house. BUT the view is seriously one of the best in the area. Rivals many of the scenic outlooks in the area along scenic routes.

The rental was dirty had mice and live cockroaches plus advertised for 8 people and sofa wasn’t a sleeper sofa . The whirlpool jacuzzi was dirty with mold .. very bad situation got there on July 8 @4pm left by July 9 @10 am .. super frustrating disappointment .. had to look for lodging elsewhere and pay additional money to continue vacation and still waiting to hear on my refund .

This property needs some TLC. Pictures on this listing are outdated. Furniture is worn, lightbulbs are blown throughout the house, mice get into your food and luggage, carpenter bees are eatting away at the cabin and that have attracted a woodpecker who does a 6 am wakeup jackhammer on the side of the house. The drive up is pretty but the closer you get to the cabin the more overgrown the weeds are on the side of the road and garbage is on the grounds around the porch, including old underwear. Overpriced cabin that under delivers. No complaint resolution...said would send exterminator and housekeeping and no one came. Do not waste your money.

The property had a great view of the mountains. I do wish it would have had a washer and dryer. Also keurig didn’t work and we told manager and they said they would replace but didn’t. But all in all it was a great place and I would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Also the upstairs bed frame was broke but still usable.

What a wonderful group to rent from! So accommodating! Their responses were immediate and they were so helpful! The cabin was awesome!! The view from the porch needs to be experienced…you are looking over the Smokey Moutains. We spent hours there, with coffee, drinks and snacks. It was amazing! Yes…the drive up is winding and steep but the payoff is well worth it!! And I must mention the morning we were preparing breakfast and an adorable bear peeked into the kitchen window! (I think he smelled the breakfast burritos) We were delighted!! What a cutie. He didn’t stay long and disappeared when he saw us rushing for our cameras. The cabin itself is spacious and lovely. The three of us (sisters trip) were very happy with the accommodations.

Property is everything one could expect and more. Spent the week there and everything was great. Only thing I would suggest is some direction on all the electronics. Had one day of rain and wanted to watch a dvd couldn’t figure out how to switch anything over.. otherwise it well worth it…

Everything about the cabin was perfect. The views are incredible! Me and my group had the most life changing experience up here in this cabin. We also saw a bear on our way up during our stay. The cabin was the highest on the mountain out of all of the rest and we’re just so happy we were able to experience this. Thank you again!

Our first time as a family in the Smokey Mountains. Exceptional view, cabin, comfort, and location of property. Breath taking views! Would definitely recommend!!

The views were amazing!! We so much enjoyed the 10 min drive up the mountain to the cabin. We saw bears 3 out of 5 days on the drive up. It was very easy to get to Gatlinburg and not far to the town. Nature did wake us up a few times; however, when you are in the mountains that is to be expected. The kids loved sleeping upstairs in the loft area and the spiral staircase and we were pleasantly surprised to see the bed was actually in a bedroom on the main floor and not just in the living room. We had all that we needed for the 6 days we were there. All in all - it was a very pleasant stay!

Door wouldn’t open or close without pulling handle & leaning my with my entire 180 lb weight while my teen granddaughter quickly used key that we were given code to get AFTER standing in pouring rain trying the first code then another. Once inside, we were delighted with the room’s & furnishings.
However: Every time we left we had to do same thing. It took extra 10 minutes to shut/lock door.
The place was overall nice. Clean except the sliver of glass my daughter got in her foot from the area rug(no sweeper to make sure so we avoided the rug).
The filters in the hot tub probably are the same as last year since they are growing mold. (I have pictures)
Didn’t get on internet till late in day Saturday because I was given wrong password multiple times w follow up “trouble shooting” like “unplug/plug the router. Evidently, the managers has never actually been to said property. I climbed up on hearth, held onto mantel & took a picture to get correct password.
I took pictures of everything when we got ready to leave to prove we followed directions since the message sounded like a threat.
And NO.. I didn’t ask for the filter to be changed while we were there. Enough of our time was wasted by them. We made sure to thoroughly shower after every hot tub dip.
Bath mats are badly needed!!! Safety hazard. Slick as snot.
Apologies aren’t enough.

Cabin is highest & last on private road. Beautiful property, but I would address the mouse and carpenter ant issue. I did see a mouse trap behind the garbage can, but we saw a handful of mouse turds on the kitchen countertop, near the coffee maker and all around the sink. The carpenter ants are limited to the bathroom and are only active during the day, but I would address this issue and seal up the sections in the bathroom where they are entering from outside. (They are only after damp wood.) Hot tub on the outside deck worked just fine, but the light above the hot tub on the corner either was not working or we could not locate the switch to turn it on. The jacuzzi was in good condition but the jets are not in great working condition and the jacuzzi tends to blow water that is initially warm but turns lukewarm to cold quite fast, before the jacuzzi is filled up. Overall this was a beautiful location, we enjoyed the privacy and seclusion with the lovely views. I just think that this cabin needs a little more attention from maintenance than it is already receiving.

My wife and I stayed in Sky View for a week for our honeymoon and this cabin could not have been more perfect. The views are absolutely gorgeous, the cabin was exactly as advertised and the owner even helped us set up massages in the cabin! It is close enough to be at any of the main attractions in 15 minutes or so, but secluded enough to truly appreciate and enjoy getting away to the mountains. The location, the cabin itself and the feel of this place will have us coming back for another trip for sure.
