About this apartment rental

In an unbeatable location in La Roma neighborhood is a classic and elegant house from the 20s; on the corner of one of the calmest, most beautiful, and best-connected streets in the neighborhood is your home away from home.

How about we start with the incredible terrace that awaits you here? A spacious and private patio that you can access from the living room or the bedroom, and in which, you’ll have an extraordinary panoramic view of La Roma, an 180º treed view of Plaza Rio de Janeiro, one of the most iconic and beautiful parks in the neighborhood. This will be the perfect place to be outdoors, enjoy the view, and feel safe at home. Have we mentioned that it surrounds the entire apartment, has outdoor furniture, an umbrella, a barbecue and is filled with plants and flowers? This is how an unforgettable journey begins.

The apartment is in the upper part of the house and every space has something special. From the natural light all around, antiques and books everywhere, as well as original finishes as door handles, chandeliers, mirrors, a fireplace, and the bathtub. And what about the classic little elevator for two with a Parisian flair; with original sliding grill, handles and buttons, and an old pulley system. Quite a relic!

And of course, it has everything you need to feel at home, work, or relax. In the living room, the coffee table turns into a dining table, the sofa into a queen-size bed, and behind one of the bookcases, you will find a mini kitchen -with everything you need for an express breakfast. In the main room, there is a king-size bed, a television, and a complete bathroom.

This is a lovely apartment with old world charm, a fantastic terrace and in a great location. The first arrival takes a bit of work but once figured out it is straightforward. The only improvement we would suggest is the bedding which was not up to the level of the rest of the apartment. No real cooking possible as the kitchen is more of a closet but not an issue in Mexico City and particularly this location. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

Great terrace apartment surrounded with restaurants Problems encountered was the electrical plug system only place to plug in the hot plate was on the floor in the bedroom as kitchen is very small. The broken plug in the bath was a challenge, as there was a lack of water pressure for the shower, we had to take a bath every day. The remote on the TV was stuck on loud so was only possible to watch sub titles on foreign films. Just need a few things fixing.

This charming apartment is everything the photos show! The terrace has ample room for enjoying a morning cup of coffee, or evening glass of wine, while overlooking the park and listening to all the joyful sounds coming from it! The terrace is the main reason we stayed there, and it did not disappoint! The kitchen is charmingly small, but really, you’re not going to be doing anything other than making a morning cup of coffee or storing your water bottles there… there are just too many wonderful food options all around! The bed itself was very comfortable, and plenty of closet space if you’re there for several days and want to put things away or hang them up. Frida, our host, was immediately available on the few times we needed her and very friendly. We mainly needed to contact her because the lock to get in can be a little touchy, and if it senses you’ve put something in incorrectly, it will freeze up for several minutes before it allows you back in again. We were lucky in that the housekeepers let us in a couple times, otherwise you could be waiting for 5 to 10 minutes to get access, which doesn’t seem like a big deal, unless you’ve been walking for several hours and are very ready to get off your feet! Not a huge deal, though, and having a washer/dryer on site, and the elevator that drops you off outside your door, more than makes up for it! We would VERY happily stay there again as we loved being right in the heart of the neighborhood and within walking distance to several fine restaurants. A note… If the bakery right around the corner is important to you, do get there early, or there will be quite a line to sit down…every day! Also, pay attention to their local holidays, as many things are closed on those days. And check out ViaHero… ask for Juan… He knows the city inside and out! Thank you for providing such a wonderful apartment to spend a week of our lives in!
