This home is not as nice as photos, was not very clean and yet very expensive. I will not be staying here again.

The location and the layout are great. The home needs a LOT of TLC. There is a lot of mold and rust. The home has not had a good cleaning in a long time.

The pool and hot tub were the only thing good about this house, well maintained. What's wrong with the rest of this place is too numeris to darn it the black mold is very bad through the house. Inside was filthy and not cleaned before we arrived. Blood on comforter, food left behind, dirty dishes and poppy maintained.

This was our first stay in Avon after many years coming to Outer Banks. We liked the quiet neighborhood of Kinakeet Shores and this house was on a cul-de-sac. The house was spacious, especially the kitchen, great room and dining room on the top floor, and it was nice having two King Masters on that floors. The beds were comfy and the pool area very nice. We loved the water views out front and in the back, but believe this increased the mosquitos! Excellent, very large hot tub enjoyed by all! Our few repair issues were handled promptly by Vacasa….very pleasant and responsive! A few small things showed wear and tear, and the stairway and back outdoor lighting could be improved.

My family and I had an excellent time at Pamlico sunset 8-9. The house was large enough to accommodate us all easily, the pool came in handy when the beach was just too windy, but we were also not too far to walk to the beach if we wanted. Any issues we had were quickly responded to and handled by the management company.

OBX Trip
This house was amazing! Such a beautiful place to stay! We had a group of 14 people - a mix of Public Safety and Healthcare fold - Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMT’s, Paramedics, Nurses, Nurse Practicioners, etc. obviously we had a couple rough years including the Pandemic and this house was an amazing getaway that allowed us to escape our everyday busy lives, relax, and recharge!

Spending time with FAMILY!!
I enjoyed staying at the property. There was enought room for everyone. The property does need some updating, new appliances (toasters not working). There was an issue with the refrigerator freezing up. The maintanence guy was very helpful. The cleanliness was subpar. No trash cans in bathrooms. Overall my family had a great time!!

Cleanliness
This house was great, and the room for our family was really good, however I think it is definitely fair to say that the rental company did not do their part in cleaning the house before we got there.
Only a few of the surfaces had been wiped down, and the floors under the couches were never cleaned. There were Gatorade bottles and dirt under each of them.
The sheets on the bed had been changed, but the comforters were never washed either. They had dog hair all over them, which caused some skin irritations on our kids.

Good Pool and Hot Tub, but No Grill & Maintenance Issues Galore
Trying to be fair, the Pool and Hot Tub were good once we got the Economy feature turned off. Good access to Avon which we like and, once the rain stopped, really nice sunsets and sunrises. Walking to the beach was fairly easy with the short cut but the maintenance issues cannot be overlooked. The house was dirty, gas grill was non-functional, decking splintering and bad repair, dangerously loose steps, many torn screens= (flies.) 1/2 toilet in front living area kept backing up and some of the dining chairs were broken/unusable. Beware of failing drawers, one person smashed their foot and a child got a splinter walking on the deck.

This location was excellent! It was located in a housing development, on a cul-de-sac without any neighbors right next door. From the front porch you could see the large pond and watch the birds fly in and take off. From the back porch you could see a tiny pond, from which we were hoping to see an alligator, to no avail. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub on the second level, and heating the pool was well worth the extra charge! It was the largest pool of any houses in which we've previously stayed. Even the grandparents enjoyed the warmth of the pool, sometimes even as warm as the hot tub :-)
The grandparents stayed on the very top floor which was great for their aging knees :-) The parents and kids stayed on the middle floor and we still had bedrooms to spare!
The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen of any vacation rental that we've stayed in, including $10,000+ a week locations. We cooked quite a few meals at home and found everything we needed, and more! There were plenty of cups, silverware, coffee mugs, plates, bakeware, and cookware.
If you stood just right in the living room you could see both the ocean and the sound; water views all around truly made this a fantastic place!
The only reason we gave it four stars instead of five, was for cleanliness. While the kitchen countertops and cabinets were outdated and in some cases damaged, that can be overlooked when a location is truly clean. There was simply a lot of dust and cobwebs everywhere and several items found inside and out that didn't obviously belong to the house or us.
However, we had fresh bed linens, fresh towels, and the floors were clean.
Communication with Vacasa was a breeze; emails and then texting while at the property. There was a mix-up about heating the pool, but that was quickly resolved.
This house would serve the max capacity well! There was extra toilet paper on hand and doubles of quite a few appliances. Two "living room" areas were great for when the kids stayed up late.
Locks were easy to use. TVs were also easy to use.
This was our first time with Vacasa and we're already looking for next year's Spring Break location!

House was very dirty !!
When we arrived we found lots of filth, floor not cleaned behind bathroom doors, windows on doors not cleaned, something on wall looked like blood, mattress pads not changed, pillow covers not changed, bed spreads very dirty, washed one and the water was so dirty, boogers on walls, yes I said boogers !!! front of refrigerator not cleaned. we called immediately & they did send a crew over, but had to keep reminding them of some things, and still cleaned some ourselves!! This house seriously needs some care. Will probably come back, loved the area, but not to this house! I would not give this place a good review !!!!
