About this house rental
We invite you to enjoy Mac’s Bear Lodge! Spectacular views from this rustic chic lodge right on the main channel of Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, AR. 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Three bedrooms have king beds and all have beautiful views of the lake. The primary suite is on the upper level with vaulted beamed ceilings, a gas fireplace, automatic black out blinds, 55” 4K Smart TV, huge picture windows with wall to wall views of the lake. The primary bath is equipped with double sinks, automatic blinds, a tiled walk-in shower with views of Lake Hamilton, a toilet closet and a walk in closet. The lower level has two king rooms that share a full bath. One king room is connected to the bath with a door and another door to the bath opens directly across from the second king room. Both rooms have huge picture windows with black out shades, stunning views of Lake Hamilton and both rooms have 55” 4K Smart TVs. The bunk room sleeps 6 people with pull out trundle beds under the bunks. The Harry Potter themed bunk room has a 65” 4K TV with an Xbox ready for gaming and a gaming area full of board games. The bunk room has a full bath attached with a tiled shower and a walk in closet. If you have extra guests the sectional in the main living room has a pull out queen sleeper with a memory foam mattress and they will have access to the half bath. The half bath is located off the butler’s pantry which includes a full laundry room and desk area if you plan to bring work with you. The lodge can sleep 14. The driveway accommodates a maximum of 4 vehicles.

Plus, a large dining table that seats eight and a bar that seats four. Open floor plan with views of gorgeous Lake Hamilton, gas fireplace in living room, and a huge sectional with queen pull out sofa. The living room has 75” 4K Smart TV with surround sound and fast WiFi throughout. Stream from any of your favorite apps from any room. Walk down to the lakeside bar to entertain guests or enjoy coffee on the large deck with a gas fire pit, twinkle lights and sound system. Stream music to the sound system from your smart phone to the entire backyard and down to the lakeside bar. Flat lot which is rare on Lake Hamilton. No climbing 50-100 stairs to arrive back home after a day on the lake. Whew! That is definitely not fun. The flat grassy lawn is also great for playing yard games. Swim or fish right off the boardwalk. Tie up your boat alongside the boat slip. Rent a boat from one of the marinas and come back to the lodge for lunch or visit Sam’s Pizza by water. Grill dinner on the gas grill while taking in the sunset over the lake. Gas line to grill and fire pit is straight from the house, so no need to deal with propane tanks.
You are at the lake, but you will definitely not be unplugged. We have high speed internet with WIFI that extends down to the lakeside bar. Smart TVs in every room equipped with every streaming service imaginable. Feel free to use the Xbox in the bunkroom, just bring your log-in credentials. Stream music from your smart phone to the indoor or outdoor speakers. Alexa devices are located in the kitchen and the master bedroom for your convenience. Remote controlled shades in the master bedroom and bathroom to make seeing the incredible views first thing in the morning as easy as possible. There is a ring doorbell at the front entrance and a camera in the rear of the lodge. Both cameras are only used to view outdoor areas for security purposes.
Outside there are several portable chairs and rockers on the deck for your use around the firepit or on the boardwalk. The boat dock will be occupied, but bumpers and ropes can be provided upon request to secure a boat alongside the dock. There are cleats and bumpers attached to the dock as well. Please note that from Mid-November to early March, Lake Hamilton is drained roughly 2-5 feet and our dock will not have enough water surrounding it to secure a boat.
Access the lake right off the boardwalk with steps into the water. NEW RECREATIONAL AMENITIES: Two tandem kayaks are available at $150 per stay. Our family had a great time at this property! It left nothing to be desired and was steps away from the water(no big hills to navigate!). Super clean and cozy. We all were blown away by how nice everything was. The beds, the showers, the furniture(especially on the patio and deck), the tiki hut by the water, tons of cookware, the complimentary oversized towels for the lake, the really cool gift basket…I could go on and on. Samaria checked on us regularly to make sure we were good. I haven’t stayed a ton of places but definitely my personal best experience on VRBO.

We stayed at Mac’s Cabin for 4 nights and 5 days for the July 4th holiday and it was absolutely wonderful! The home itself is beautiful and the location on the lake puts you right on the water and in the perfect lake spot for skiing and tubing. We had 11 adults/older teens in our group and were comfortable the entire time. We also rented a boat from a separate marina for 2 days and was able to dock it at the property overnight with ease. Very close to town and amenities. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

This cabin is beautifully decorated without one detail missed! Kitchen was well stocked with every utensil and item we needed. The linens, pillows and mattresses were incredibly comfortable. We grilled on the deck one evening and cooked some great meals on the kitchen. We enjoyed lots of relaxation on the deck watching the lake activity and wildlife. We would absolutely stay here again!

The house is beautiful, and right on the water. Our group had a lot of fun with the kayaks and paddleboards on the water. There are not 5 bedrooms as indicated in the title of the listing, only 4, with a sofa bed in the living room.
Samaria left us a sweet gift basket of snacks and goodies prior to our arrival. It was a nice gesture.
Overall I would rate this property very highly and would recommend it to others. Except for the hot water issue - it started out inadequate and then dropped to nothing. At first it just took a long time for any hot water to reach any of the sinks or showers. And I mean a long time. On afternoon before we checked out, the water went out entirely. We thought maybe running the dishwasher and a load of laundry and a shower in succession were to much for the water heater, so we gave it some time to recharge. After 90 minutes, there was still no hot water.
Samaria does not live close by and does not have anyone who could come by to fix the issue. We offered to look to see if a breaker was tripped. Samaria allowed us access to the electrical panel to see if that was the problem. It would have been such an easy fix. But it did not solve the issue. After some time, Samaria just told me "Good night." Well, it wasn't a good night. We had 3 kids and 8 adults who spent a day on the lake and needed to clean up before flights the next day. But we had no hot water and Samaria did nothing to resolve the issue.

This home ended up being the most perfect fit for our large group of nine for the week of Thanksgiving- two families, 4 teens, and 1 mother-in-law. First of all, THAT VIEW out the windows onto the lake!! I couldn't wait to wake up each morning and open the blinds. Gorgeous! Upon arrival, we were wowed by the thoughtful, generous welcome basket and craft beers which we enjoyed during our stay. The home itself is so beautiful with a great layout. The butler's pantry and the regular pantry provided great storage space. We have stayed at lots of homes, and this one by far was the most well-stocked...spices, utensils, plates, drinking glasses, pots, pans, koozies, plastic ware for leftovers, and more. Our large group loves to cook instead of eating out, so this was huge for us. We enjoyed the cool evenings sitting by the fire outside and loved watching all the football games on the large TV in the living area. The teens spent hours in the yard throwing the football, and the ladies enjoyed walks in the neighborhood. The bunkroom was perfect for the teens. Beds were comfy with lots of layers to keep us warm. We don't have one bad thing to say about our time there. We talked about trying to stay in the summer time to take advantage of the warm weather and lake activities.All were thoroughly impressed with every single thing. Such a lovely place. Had an amazing trip. Came up for fall break with family and brought my dad’s boat. Loved Lake Hamilton. The cabin was amazing- kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, love the outdoor patio and bar area. Pictures don’t do it justice.

My fantasy football league stayed here for 3 days and had such a blast in the water, playing cornhole, tubing, and skiing. The master bedroom was fantastic because one morning at 5 am we had a huge thunderstorm that I was able to enjoy watching through the large windows facing the water.

From the minute we walked into this home we felt like we were home. If you think the pictures look great, wait until you see it in person. Our family of 5 with our kids being ages 21-25 and two of their friends also stayed here. There was plenty of room for everyone and I loved how the dining room table was big enough for us to eat meals and play games. The deck was cozy to drink morning coffee and cocktails at night. The bar by the dock was very useful so we didn’t have to walk back and forth to the house. There was even a cooler provided so we could take it on the boat we rented. I could go on and on how great this property is. Samaria was great communicating with us and checking in to see if we needed anything. Which we didn’t because the house already provided everything we could possibly need. The welcome basket she left for us was so thoughtful and much appreciated. Great stay and will definitely be back!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a stunning lakefront property with my family, and I cannot emphasize enough how incredible our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the breathtaking views and warm hospitality of the place. The house itself was an absolute gem. Spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated, it offered a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. Our family had ample space to spread out and relax, thanks to the well-designed layout of the property. The fully equipped kitchen was a dream for preparing family meals, and we loved dining together while enjoying the picturesque scenery just beyond our plates. The cozy living area was perfect for bonding over board games and sharing laughter, and Netflix.. 😊But the real highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the outdoor space. The property had direct access to the lake, and we made the most of it! We spent countless hours swimming & tubing. The kids were absolutely thrilled! The outside Bar was a great spot to watch the kids swim while enjoying an adult beverage. Another aspect that stood out was the exceptional service from the property's management. They were attentive, responsive, and the welcome basket was so thoughtful and personalized for our family! What a Treat! In conclusion, our stay at this lakefront property was a dream come true. It ticked all the boxes for a perfect family getaway. We will surely be back for more cherished moments in the future!

We stayed at this property right on the water for a family reunion weekend. The kids had a great time in the bunk room and swimming right off the dock with swim ladder. The outdoor areas are phenomenal-deck, fire pit and outdoor dining. The backyard was level and landscaped beautifully. Interior was attractive and upscale.

Samaria is a splendid hostess who is solicitous about guests’ comfort and needs. Attention to detail is evident in this comfy, spacious, lake house. While too chilly yet for water sports, fishing, bird watching, and simply relaxing on the deck were enjoyed by all. In addition to HSNPin central Hot Springs, hiking and visits to the science museum and the botanical gardens are recommended activities.

When you are traveling to the house the area is unimpressive, but when you walk into the house for the first time and see the views of Lake Hamilton from the main floor you will be completely wowed!! A similar wow factor when you see the view from the master bedroom! The home is beautifully decorated and very clean. Everyone agreed that all of the beds were VERY comfortable! The bar down at the dock is super cool and the honor bar system for drinks and ice cream down there is such a neat idea! Spent every morning on the upper patio enjoying the fresh air and the great views, watching the boats go by. Enjoyed our time here!

Great place to stay, right on the water, perfect views from every room. From the minute we walked in the door, everything exceeded our expectations. From the gift basket the Host left, to the kitchen supplies, beds were comfy, the sounds system was great, the Tito's Tiki Bar. The patio was our main hang out area & the views were awesome. The Host checked in on us frequently & provided our group of 8 adults the perfect long weekend getaway. Would recommend staying here to anyone who asks!

LITTLE SLICE OF PERFECTION.
If you are looking for a place in hot springs, look no further. This is the best stocked house I’ve ever stayed in. We VRBO a lot and this house was the best one we’ve stayed at so far. We hung out most nights on the lawn while the kids played in the water. It was a little slice of perfection that we didn’t want to leave. As a matter of fact, after day 2, we didn’t leave because we couldn’t get enough of this house and all it had to offer. We will be back!

Better than the pictures!
This is definitely the most well thought out rental we have ever stayed in. Sam had everything we could have possibly needed. The house is absolutely adorable and actually feels like the home. Very cozy. The fire pit was a huge hit and the views are amazing. Oh, and the beds are to die for! We had 5 adults and 4 kids under six. Everyone had a great time. Thanks so much for a great vacation.
