It does the job for an overnight stop

Great location. Nice staff.

The rooms are overdue for some TLC. I’ve stayed here a handful of times over the past couple of years and there haven’t been improvements to the carpets, which are very stained. I doubt they are “dirty” per se but the level of staining makes the room feel very grubby. Also, the tiles in the shower floor were loose / not secured in the room I was staying in.

Convenient for the Great Ocean Road, clean and tidy small pool looked well maintained although we didn’t use it. Beach just a short walk away

Convenient comfortable motel in great location

Location was super. Room comfortable with everything needed. Great Ocean Road and environs are right there Anglesea is a pretty place with a good shopping centre and local pub which serves great food River walks and beach is all very near

Unit 3 was clean and comfortable but we didn't feel it could be described as a 'Delux room'

Very helpful to have crockery and cutlery.

- Shower screen is broken (Unit 3) - Insufficient shelf space in bathroom for toilet bag as well as insufficient towel racks - TV very small

Amazing stay in Anglesea.

Property was nice and clean. Suited in the best part of town close to local restaurants and cafes. Short walking distance to the park and beach.

Rooms are not sound proof. Can hear anyone outside.

Great value family accommodation

Exceeded expectations. Very comfortable and spacious. Great access to nearby facilities. Appreciated the breakfast items and Great coffee!

Good except for the issue with staff not being available during their stated hours

The staff went home early and left keys under mat, which normally would not be a problem. However, I specifically requested to pay upon checking and wanted to pay cash. I did not authorize use of my credit card for payment.

Great Location, Disappointing Room

The Motel was well located, across the road from a lovely waterway and in easy walking distance to a great Chineses restaurant and local pub. It looked very inviting from the road.

The receptionist was not that welcoming, the room was basic and the carpet very dirty, the bathroom had a damaged towel rack and the TV remote was missing the back, so was not working.

Fantastic shower - one of the best - and easily warmed up with a very effective reverse cycle unit

Noise insulation is not so great with adjoining units not well sound proofed and doors with big gaps under them.

My family, my boyfriend and I had a terrible experience at the Anglesea Riverside Motel and the Great Ocean Resort. My boyfriend and I have used their pool when we stayed there. We got burned when using their pool. The burns in our body occurred due to the HIGH CHLORINE EXPOSURE. We had to drive to 2 different hospitals in the middle of the night trying to find urgent assistance. The pain I felt was so chronic that I never wish this to anyone. Lorne medical centre and the Geelong hospital confirmed that the pool had an excessive amount of Chlorine. Due to this I got burns in my legs, it destroyed my hair, it ended up yellow and the thickness is gone, and my clothes were completely destroyed and my boyfriend’s eyes and face were really injured and his clothes also got damaged.MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. After showing the motel all the evidence and the discharge summary from the hospital, The motel only provide a full reimbursement but they didn’t do anything about the physical and psychological damage that we experienced. I don’t recommend this place to anyone as due to this I ended up with burns in my body, I couldn’t walk for days, I also have lost so much hair and so much money, and the psychological distress that I had, it destroyed my holidays completely. I travel around the world and Australia and this is the first time I experienced something like that. Please stay somewhere else as their pool is not safe for people.
