About this villa rental
Lovely villa with dazzling sea views, swimming pool, beach 2 min, sleeps six (3 bedrooms, one with fireplace, 3 bath/shower-rooms), very large living area (living room with fireplace, dining area, library), designer kitchen, Designers Guild interior, brand new Smart TV with Ambilight and international channels, WIFI , terraces, garden, garage...
Overlooking the bay of La Figueirette and the Iles de Lerin in the bay of Cannes, the villa has recently been refurbished to the highest modern standards. With sea views from every room over the Mediterranean, including the hills of SuperCannes, the Italian Alps, and---on a very clear day---Corsica, Villa Miramar is in easy walking distance from the sandy beach (two minutes by car) and 2 beautiful 'secret' pebble bays, and only footsteps away from an entrance to the National Park de l'Esterel with fantastic hiking and mountain biking.
The property features a modern interior (Designers Guild). There is a swimming pool 9x5 meters, and terraces for sunbathing and outdoor dining, set in a terraced Mediterranean garden. The total interior area is 220 m2 or 2354 square feet. The terraced garden is 1100 m2 or 11770 square feet. There is a garage and additional parking area on the driveway.
The villa is south-east facing, at an altitude of 124 m, or 350 feet.
Le Trayas is a village built on the slopes of the Pic Martin, a hill at the foot of the Esterel mountain range. The local coast line is known as the Cote d'Or, featuring the world famous Corniche d'Or, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. The Cote d'Or has innumerable small sandy bays, separated by dramatic cliffs.
The Villa was chosen for the (British) Channel Four documentary 'A Place in the Sun' as one of the most beautiful properties on the Cote d'Azur.

Just an incredible view and great location to see a lot of the area. We had a wonderful time staying here and found Pascal super responsive when we had one small issue with a stuck door on washing machine. Thank you for hosting us!

Winter Sun!
What views to wake up to! Thanks to the property being laid out for the morning sun, we could have breakfast on the terrace every morning - fantastic in February! The house is perfectly equipped, everything was clean and very comfortable! Ideally located for day trips to St Tropez or St Paul de Vence, Cannes, Nice… Mme Dupont, the concierge, is extremely helpful and ready to answer all questions. We had a wonderful week!

Beautiful location and quality home.
All six of us were totally satisfied. Easy to communicate with Michael and local house manager. Driving up and down the hill takes getting used to.
We hope Michael is as happy with us as we are with him and his house. Best wishes.

Wonderful!
Our family of 5 (now twin 11 y/o and a 13 y/o) very much enjoyed staying in this lovely, spacious, and comfortable house during the last week of June. We loved the fabulous view of the sea from almost every room, the weather, the beautiful gardens, the well decorated interior, the library, the pool, and, the well appointed kitchen (we loved being able to cook meals with the freshest local ingredients). It is easy to see why the ancients settled here.
Michael, the owner, and Sacha, the caretaker, were very nice and responsive to our needs. In addition, a very detailed instructions/information booklet and list of local restaurants is provided, which was very helpful. We tried a few of the restaurants-- the Marco Polo and Jalili B were our favorites. There were many staples in the villa when we arrived allowing us to wait until the next morning before going to the super market. Further, the washing machine and dryer worked well. Finally, we were given a bottle of champagne as a welcome gift upon arrival, which was a great way to start our week.
In terms of opportunities for improvement, the only minor suggestions we have are for additional instructions about the induction stove.
This was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return soon.

A real home away from home with hosts who cannot do enough to ensure your stay goes smoothly.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have discovered this piece of paradise on the Med. It is located ideally between the larger centres of Cannes & St Tropez so it's possible to visit either by car or boat - available from the local marina.
After a busy day it's possible to relax and unwind with a swim in the pool and a BBQ on the deck over looking the Med. Truely amazing to watch the large boats ply the crystal clear waters as they move up and down the coast
The home is everything the pictures suggest. There is no false advertising here! What made the stay most enjoyable was the feeling of being in someone's well provisioned and cared for home. What made our week outstanding was the genuine care displayed when something was not quite right. It was dealt with and fixed without regard to cost or effort. The owners genuinely want their guests to have a great time and take pride in the home.
We will be back!

Wonderful stay at amazing home!
This beautiful home was the perfect place and location for our family of 5. The views from the home were amazing as was the design and amenities. We loved the location as there is so much do do all with in an hour or so away. Michael was wonderful to work with and made everything easy for us. This is the perfect place to just stop and relax. We can't wait to return

Wonderful. We will go back.
The views are superb. The villa is 115m above sea level. The place is very quiet. You can sit in the very nice terrace and hear the silence. The house is fully renovated with wooden floor and is very well appointed. You feel that every details have been thought about from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much much and will happily go back.

Fabulous
The villa is amazing with the views from every room. Le Trayas is in a lovely small bay, one of the nicest spots along this bit of the coast. We visited in Febuary and it is the perfect place for out of season, on the couple of days when the weather was not great you've still got those beautiful views. Loved it.

Fantastic Holiday at Villa Miramar
We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Miramar. Sasha, who met us at the villa and Michael were very helpful. The villa itself has everything we needed and the views from every room are breathtaking.

A beautiful Place!
Me and my family spent a week here in June!
The house is even better than what you see in the pictures.
Everything was in place and the view is spectacular from every room.
We recommend renting a car if you dont mind walking up and down steep hills.
If you choose this house you wont be dissapointed!

Exquisite comfort and view!
Peaceful serenity by the sea in luxurious accommodations. Great security, even though we were in a very safe area. That just added to the sense of calm. The views from every single room were spectacular. The kitchen had top rated appliances and everything you could ever need to make yourself at home. Each bedroom was a nice size and all the rooms in the house have access to go outside on a balcony. We used this as a base to explore the the Côte d'Azur and could get anywhere we wanted in a short period of time. This would be my first choice to rent again and I highly recommend this house to anyone. I had my 87 year old mother with me and she had no problems getting around. An easy five star review!! If you ever get a chance to stay here, do not hesitate!!

The best stay to explore French Riviera
Very good located to visit all the most important places of interest in French Riviera, not only the cities, but the small villages too. If you prefer to stay and relax at the pool or watch the sunset, you will have this opportunity too. Freshly baked croissant, pain chocolat each morning on the terrace with exquisite view, that it' s to enjoy it.
The only difficult choice - to stay in so beautiful house or to travel around...

August 2015 Holidays
Beautiful villa with all amenities for demanding people; breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the Esterel mountains from the large terraces! Lovely and large swimming-pool (accessible via steps). Home and monitoring of quality by the owner and other persons responsible for the reception and maintenance. World-renowned city of Cannes (Cannes Film Festival, La Croisette etc ..), 25 minutes away by car.

A perfect stay
We had a perfect stay at Villa Miramar and everything was according to our expectations. The house is clean and fully equipped and the view is absolutely breathtaking! The owner was very accomodating and we were well recieved at our arrival. In the nearby village you can buy fresh bread and there is a marina with some nice restaurants. we would definitely recommend this house!

Fantastic
Our family of five (ages 13,11,6) had a wonderful week stay here. The house and the views are exactly as pictured - beautiful. The grounds and various outside sitting areas are not done justice in the photos. The house is tucked up on a hill out if the way so very relaxing a peaceful but the beach and some restaurants are just a few minutes drive away. We spent our mornings at the beach (nice swimming for the kids, great watersports center- sailing, peddle boats, kayaking, tubing) and afternoons in the beautiful pool. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We hope to be back some day soon.

Excellent place to stay in Cote D'Azur
Hidden in a gated community on the hill about 20 min south of Cannes, this villa offers lots of space, modern conveniences, and breathtaking views. It was ideal for our 2 families, 6 people, which included 2 teenage girls, with 3 bedrooms, three bathrooms on the sleeping floor, and plenty of space in the living floor, beautiful terraces, and a pool. The location is somewhat secluded, and because of steep hill it is not easy to walk to the superette and back, but it's only a minute drive. Supermarket and highway access are about 20 min away, but the road you take, Corniche D'Or, is breathtaking. While it seems a bit out of the way, one will probably appreciate this location during the busy summer season. The owner provided a detailed instructions for everything that has an on/off switch, and his web site is a great resource to explore the area. The villa is designed with outside walls opening to combine inside and outside spaces, which precludes the use of mosquito screens, so get refills for the plug-in repellents (there are plenty of them in the house) at the supermarket on the first day, and that would be the last and only thing you would worry about.

Perfect family reunion getaway
We just returned after staying for a week in this home overlooking this incredible view.
The home was amazing and perfectly maintained and had everything we could have possibly needed as a home away from home. The views are spectacular from every room, sunrises on the deck were magnificent, a real incentive to get up at 6 a.m. Bedrooms are all comfortable and open up onto the middle deck. The location is great as it is just outside the craziness of Cannes and has it's own beach "La Figuerette", beach rentals for water sports and restaurants within 10 minutes in Theoule. Cannes is your nearest city at 20 minutes, but quite honestly we were perfectly content to stay home many days and just sit enjoying the view and each others company on the beautiful terrace.

Very nice villa with a spectacular view
We (family of four from Copenhagen, Denmark) spent a week in Le Trayas this summer and truly enjoyed it.
Its a wonderful house, the view is spectacular, and the area is peaceful and quiet with Massif L´Esterel in your "backyard" and the most beautiful coastline in front of you. Yet you are still close to the action in Cannes. The pool area works well and the house is spacious.
Given that the neighborhood is situated high on a hillside living there inevitably involves climbing stairs and walking up and down some fairly steep slopes. Something to bear in mind for families with small children and/or disabled family members.
We will definitely return to this house in the future insofar as it remains available.

Views, Location, Interior
We had chosen Villa Miramar for several reasons, views, location, interior, and relative proximity to golf courses. We expected a lot, and we were still positively surprised.
You arrive at the place for the first time, and even though you have seen the pictures you just can’t believe it --- a fantastic display of the Mediterranean Sea in all its splendour lit by the afternoon sun. As if you could touch the water. You spend a lot of time during your stay just looking at the sea, no need to do anything else.
The location is very good, near the beaches (which you can see from the house), the marina (we rented a boat twice), just at the right distance from Cannes and other touristy spots (go visit Cannes at night, the Croisette turns into a circus), and in walking distance from various good restaurants. And the golf. Two courses in Mandelieu, barely 15 minutes away, next to a wealth of other courses in St. Raphael, Mougins, and so on.
The interior is contemporary (mostly Designer’s Guild and modern classics) and the colours are sublime. The house is easy, with a spacious layout and various terraces for various times of the day. And the pool is large. We’ll be back.

We could not recommend this house too highly; stunning location, beautiful furnishings, immaculately maintained and the views....
Sitting on the very large terrace on a warm evening overlooking the cliffs and the Med was sublime. Sitting at the outdoor sofa and chairs having breakfast each morning offered an alternative view and yet more space to admire the location. The enormous terrace outside the bedrooms offered yet more opportunities to stop and stare.
This is a truly beautiful house - five minutes' drive from a railway station leading directly to Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco and on into Italy. We loved it here and can't wait for our next visit.

Your villa was alll we expected and more. The views are wonderful, the villa is private, and the location is convenient to everything needed from hiking to water, sailing and shopping. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for "gourmet" meals and the library has a wonderful collection of CDs. We were three couples, and each had a sense of privacy - we had the master suite, which is a little more "equal" than the others, however. Despite freakish weather ( we watched water spouts, and violent storms roll across the sea) we had a wonderful time - in part BECAUSE of your great villa.

Fantastic home from home with all the mod cons needed...
Beware though that the pool is not heated and can be quite chilli limiting usage... Apart from that we had a fantastic stay.

What a stunning location and what a beautiful home. We stayed there for several weeks last summer, and found the setting amazing for both relaxing and sightseeing. It's hard to walk away from the incredible views from the terrace, but there is so much great stuff to do in the area also. The house is absolutely beautiful (the pictures are 100% real) and extremely well-appointed. Michael has thought of everything and is also a pleasure to deal with. The only thing to be aware of if you have very young children is that, due to the location of the property, there are several sets of steep steps to navigate to get to the pool, and also the fencing on the terraces is quite light. Overall, though, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property.

No picture could ever do this villa justice. We rented the villa in October 2007, and we were immediately struck by how gorgeous it is! The owner, Michael, met us at the villa with the key, and he was so helpful and friendly - he made us feel right at home.
The interior is beautifully decorated and spotless, and the view outside is overwhelming. When we weren't enjoying the house and its view, we made multiple day trips. The villa is so conveniently located - it took less than an hour to travel everywhere we wanted to go on the Riviera.
I really can't recommend this place enough. We do a fair amount of traveling, and this is truly the nicest place we've ever rented - and we've stayed at a lot of great places.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely villa for a month one summer and returned for 3 weeks the following year. It is situated in a quiet residential area with a beautiful view of the sea and the local port. It is easily accessible to Cannes by car (25 mins) or the local train that hugs the coastline (12 mins). The spectacular Esterel National Park is situated on the hillside behind the villa where one can walk or bike for hours. The views of the Riviera from the top of the mountain will take your breath away. The house is very clean, spacious and light with all the mod cons you would need for a very comfortable vacation. We loved it so much we have ended up becoming neighbours!

The house is located on one of the loveliest stretch of coast between Nice and St.Tropez. It is close enough to the motorway for convenient trips to Cannes, Nice and the hinterland. But the views of the Mediterranean from the house are so captivating that you might be happy merely to stay and gaze out at the sea all day. The views really are as spectacular as promised in the photos on the web site.
The house is very tastefully furnished and is equipped with everything one might conceivably need - including binoculars for a closer look at boats passing by and a cooler for the champagne which was chilling in the fridge upon our arrival. And plenty of reading material should you forget to pack your books.
Very young children will need to be watched as there are many steps in the terraced garden, but our children (aged from 5 to 13) loved playing hide-and-seek in it. They were also not to be deterred by the unusually cool temperatures during our stay from using the lovely pool.
