About this house rental
Just steps away from the world famous Zuma Beach, this western Malibu home is cozy and warm with a minimalistic, chic design. Open floor plan with plenty of space and an outdoor patio ideal for entertaining! Perfect vacation getaway for both family and friends!
The main living area features an open floor plan with plenty of space. Through the french doors off the dining/living area you'll find the backyard and patio. The outdoor living space includes brand new outdoor furniture, for lounging and dining, chaise lounge, BBQ, and the recently added hillside bocce court! String lights help set the vibe at night as you stare up at the towering palm trees and stars above. Perfect for entertaining!
Back inside, three of the four bedrooms (including the Master) are located down the hall from the main living area, which provides more privacy and quiet time. The Master bedroom has a full, en suite bathroom and includes a sliding door that opens to a private area of the back patio. The fourth bedroom, right off of the living area, also doubles as an office.
The full kitchen attaches to the dining room, with seating for six, and opens up to the cozy living room with a wraparound sectional couch and gas fireplace. The garage has been converted to an additional living space with ping pong table and TV, and includes the laundry area and an extra refrigerator.
Mountain views from the back and private neighborhood view in front of large Sycamore trees. Great neighborhood for kids! Perfect for riding bikes, skateboarding, riding scooters...or setting up a lemonade stand in the summer!
Speed bump neighborhood that's walking distance to the beach, shopping, food, etc... Great neighbors but please be respectful of us, our neighbors, neighborhood and house rules. No parties and no outdoor noise after 10pm.
While you may find some disposable kitchen items available when you arrive (foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags, cooking oils, etc.), we do not supply these. Rather, they have been left behind by a gracious, previous guest for you to enjoy, so better to be safe than sorry and make sure you bring what you need. There are a couple grocery stores nearby, as well, if you need to grab something.
We do supply paper towels, salt & pepper grinders, some Keurig coffee and tea pods in addition to shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, dishwasher/laundry pods and toilet paper, of course :-) Do not hesitate to ask if you are looking for something in particular.
Generally a 2-week minimum but can book for 7+ days within 30 days of arrival. Stays of more than 30 days are discounted 20% and avoid the local 15% tax. In addition, you will have access to the Malibu West Beach Club.
***Also, if you are booking for longer than 30 days, then you will NOT have to pay taxes on your stay, even though your price quote may say you do. VRBO is archaic in some ways and doesn't allow me to apply taxes to certain lengths of stay. I either have to include taxes or not, there's no in-between. Apologies for any confusion!***

We stayed for a month and Chris was a terrific host. Easy to communicate with and very helpful with any questions we had. The house is very clean, comfortable and well supplied. The beds are very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The location is terrific, close to the beach (short walk) and a small market, coffee very close by as well. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area with friendly people. It's very chill but that was exactly what we were hoping for. We had a really wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Charming Home in Friendly Neighborhood
Every aspect of our stay was perfect. Chris is a great host, ready at a moments notice to help or provide recommendations for local restaurants and/or activities. The house was impeccable. Chris provided all the basics to get a stay started -- everything from paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap etc.
The house is in a gated neighborhood with 24/7 security that is thorough, but friendly.
WIFI signal is strong and we use WIFI calling for best reception.
All in all, a great host and great stay,
