Where do we begin? First of all, we had amazing difficulty finding the place after driving 14 hours from Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. When we arrived, the heat was on and we weren't able to figure that out until a day later when the owner came to see and brought a window unit for the kitchen, which actually made our month stay bearable. The driveway is a full stop on a highly trafficked Vermont 100 and then a sharp left turn. Super dangerous and not recommended! Then, the towns are small, if you like that kind of thing. Waterbury, Stowe, and Waterbury Center where this old farmhouse sits. Montpelier is 20 minutes away, but it doesn't compare to Burlington. The garbage was never taken out, so it stank to high heaven. The promised washing machine and dryer were absent, as was the hot tub. We stayed a month, and had to ask for clean towels and sheets, but the host lives an hour away and it took her a while to get them to us. Then, there was the internet which went off line three times, and we were dependent on it for jobs and permanent housing. There were not enough garbage bags. The only plus was the cold mountain water which tasted clean and delicious. The place is also pet friendly, and we have a cat. All in all, though, if you can find ANYWHERE else to stay if you happen to be in that area, do that. Neither the host nor the owner know what they are doing. Don't be deceived by the cute pictures of a rustic cabin. It's a horrible place and WAY overpriced for what it is.

The property was conveniently located between Stowe and Waterbury. Upon arrival at address, unit was difficult to locate-not sure what door to enter. However condo was beautiful - well furnished and clean with a lovely view. The parking along a busy highway was a challenge but the highway noise was not a problem.

Great time!
The only issue we had was with the lockbox for the key. It was a little difficult. The traffic is loud but not horrific. I would suggest another A/C unit in the bedroom. LOVED the little table and benches in the kitchen. So enjoyed listening to the frog(s) in the back yard! We had a such a great time in Stowe! Thank you!

Farmhouse Stay
The farmhouse apartment is exactly as described and pictured online, clean and quaint. This old farmhouse is classic Vermont living. While there may have been some insects, I think that makes the farmhouse authentic since the windows are historic and probably the floor as well. You can expect a rustic farmhouse with all modern amenities available, like wifi and hot water. Many thanks to the owners of this VRBO for a safe stay.

Stowe ski trip
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The interior and furnishings are very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The kitchen provided everything I needed. It’s an easy drive to Stowe, grocery shopping, etc. However, the property is situated very close to the road so there’s a fair amount of road noise inside the unit. Also, internet access was somewhat unreliable and the shower didn’t have hot water on my first morning. That said, the property manager was very responsive in coming out to resolve the issue that afternoon.
