About this house rental
Full remodel and updates on this landmark house in the desirable Plumas Pines area. This open 3 bed, 2 bath home oversees the 13th & 16th fairway. Front and Rear decks provide many great areas for entertaining. Enjoy a fire in the beautiful stone wood burning stove and views of the golf course across the street. Large living area features a 65” smart TV so you can use all your subscriptions. There is a built-in wet bar with a pass thru to the Kitchen.
The kitchen is well-stocked including air fryer, crock pot, Keurig, blender and quality cookware. Rear deck features a large BBQ for keeping your guests full and accent string lights into the trees. The garage has been converted to a game room including lounge seating and 48" TV.
All bedrooms are larger than normal. The master bedroom boasts a Cal-King bed and small walk in closest. Two more bedrooms - one with Queen and the other with (2) Queen sized beds. Complete with fresh linens and pillows for your convenience.
Very few properties in this area have air conditioning, and although the nights are always cool, the days can be hot and it can take a few hours for a house to cool down. Closing the house in am when it is cool will minimize heat in afternoon
We have a small fenced yard with dogs on APPROVAL with an additional $ 150 pet fee. IF PETS ARE ONSITE WITHOUT APPROVAL AND PRE-PAYMENT THEN A FEE OF $300 will be charged. Please ask for further details.

This is my fourth year in a row staying at his home. It is located in a perfect spot close to the golf courses and just a few miles for some great fishing

We had an amazing stay at the treehouse for our long golf weekend. Big beds, kitchen had all the cookware/glassware we needed, great front porch to drink coffee and get some sun. Great location near the town and close to the Plumas Pines clubhouse. Can’t wait to book again thanks for having us!

Another amazing stay at the Treehouse! This hidden gem nestled in the heart of the beautiful Lost Sierras always delivers the most memorable family vacations. From being greeted upon our arrival by a flock of friendly wild turkeys to watching the snow peacefully fall from the large picture windows by the cozy hearth, this captivating place truly has it all. The only disappointing part was having to leave this winter haven and go back to reality. Thank you, Garret, for sharing your amazing home with us!

We rented the home to invite local family members over for Thanksgiving. There was plenty of room to prepare multiple dishes in the kitchen, and set up an extra table next to their dining table. We played games and enjoyed the views from the large windows that overlook the pine trees. This was a convenient spot for our relatives in Portola and the surrounding towns to come and visit. All three bedrooms were very comfortable and seemed to be almost soundproof. That was a nice Soundsystem, and fun games like horseshoes to play outside. The little ones enjoyed the play area in the backyard. We went walking around Plumas Pines every day. The entire home was nicely decorated and very clean.

We chose to stay in this home this year after having a great experience last year. The home is spacious, open, comfortable and very reasonably priced. Great communication with the owner. Lasy year it was unusually hot and we were pretty warm, even though there is a ceiling fan in every room. I mentioned this to Garrett and he provided standing fans for each bedroom. It really helped and was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again. We love the area and got to see some wildlife in our yard and across the road on the beautiful golf course!

We had an amazing weekend at the tree house. The house had everything we needed to be able to spend quality time as a family. We did puzzles, played games, took a nice walk and enjoyed the mountains. We will definitely be back.

We’ve stayed at this home two years in a row with another family. We all love it, it’s comfortable for two families with children. Great location near State Park for sledding, nice neighborhood to walk around, and located near to town for last minute needs at the General Market. We hope to return next year.

We loved our time at the tree house. The ramp up to the front door was especially helpful for our father, who uses a walker. The patios were great - we loved grilling outside! And the master bedroom/bath are beautiful! Wish the mattresses in the double room were more comfortable. Also, a corkscrew would be helpful.

The Tree House is just perfect.... we rented the house for a week to help prepare and celebrate our daughters wedding. She was married in the area and we needed a home base. This house was perfect. Because it is also dog friendly our daughters golden retriever had a place to hang as we did wedding prep. Garrett was terrific , checking in to assure all was good...... we would come again in a heart beat!

The bedrooms were big with very comfortable beds. Lot of open living, dining and kitchen space. Hand soap, shampoo & conditioners, dish soap and snacks were nice extra touches. There were 2 things that we wish could have been better. The fire pit/chimena that was advertised, was removed due to the high fire danger. It just would have been nice to know, although it was obviously out of the owners control. Under usual circumstances not having A/C would have been okay. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms, except the kitchen and dining room. However, the weather has been getting hotter the last 2 years and it wasn't possible to keep the house cool after midmorning. Even opening the windows over night and shutting them during the day. With 4 big windows on the front of the house, with beautiful views of trees and deer and the golf course, it was sad to have the blinds shut all day. I think adding some floor fans would help a lot. Overall, would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in this area.

Beautiful Tree House
This house was very clean and up to date with decor and style. It had all the comforts of home with everything provided for whatever was needed, even little bottles of shampoo and conditioner! Thank you for foam hand soap and lot's of tissue boxes:)
My son got married at The Corner Barn and the house was very close to the venue which made it nice. The morning bonus was sitting out on the front deck sipping coffee and watching the golfers.

Winter Wonderland!
The house was beautiful! The pictures on the website didn't do it justice! Traveled up in the worst snowstorm the Sierras had seen in 50 years, so it was a little dicey getting there. "The Treehouse" sign made it much easier to spot from the road, since it was dark and the snow was piled high! There were a few issues with the bedding and house supplies, but Garret addressed them right away and made sure we had enough to get us through the storm. Our only suggestion would be to provide cleaning supplies for guests. When you are dining in, it's always a good idea to have something to wipe the counters down with, etc. Luckily, we brought our own things. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time sledding and building an epic snowman in the front yard! Thank you, Garrett, for your attentiveness and advise. We enjoyed ringing in the New Year at the Treehouse!

Spacious house
We enjoyed our stay at this spacious house, especially liked the large kitchen and dining room with large table. Very clean, well stocked kitchen. We couldn't find place mats or a dish drying rack, so those things would be a nice addition. We couldn't get the icemaker to work, but we brought ice, so we were ok. We also couldn't adjust the sound on the TV (a little too loud), and at first couldn't get the front door code to lock, so more instructions for that would be good. We enjoyed playing ping pong in the garage and there were plenty of ping pong paddles and balls. Overall a great stay, and we would stay there again. Thank you to the owners and management for a clean, well appointed house.

Perfect Hometown retreat
The Tree House was a perfect place to stay for my family as we returned to my hometown area for a family wedding and memorial service. It was nice having a place large enough for extended family to gather for dinners together. I would definitely return to this cozy home for a future vacation. Thankfully we were not evacuated from the area due to the Dixie fire burning in Plumas County. Our stay was a short four days and busy with events, but we did manage to get in a hike to Modera Lake. It was such a beautiful and peaceful lake even with the smokey air. I look forward to returning to the area again to enjoy the local lakes and do more hiking .

Great vacation house for exploring the beautiful Plumas/Lakes Basin region. The house is very comfortable, well furnished and located across the street from a golf course. Great hiking in the Lakes Basin is not far away. Hope to return with my family for a longer visit.
