About this house rental
Beautifully renovated, historic trinity home with amazing location! Located in the heart of Fitler square, our single family row home was built in 1825 and renovated in 2020. Trinity homes are a unique part of Philadelphia’s history and are traditionally one room per floor, connected by a narrow circular staircase. (See photos to be sure you feel comfortable navigating!) Walk to 30th St Station, Schuylkill Trail, CHOP, UPenn, Drexel, Rittenhouse, Fitler Square and more! New HEPA air filter!
Our private, modern colonial style home has a living room and kitchen on the first floor. The second floor has the bathroom and two private sleeping spaces: one bedroom with a queen bed, and a second bedroom (no closet) with two twin beds. The third floor stairs open into the final bedroom with an attached balcony and working grill. Window a/c units, robust wifi, and a kitchen with all the amenities you need. Trinities are called America's first tiny homes - while the home sleeps 6 comfortably, the living room space is not large - please view the photos!
A note: Our laundry team enters the home to pick up and drop off linens from the basement on Tuesday and Thursday mid-mornings. Guests are welcome to be home or away during their quick stop.

House was as described in a safe neighborhood within walking distance of many tourist sites, church, restaurants, running trail, and grocery. We located parking a short distance away in a parking lot for $40/day & $10/day on weekends. Subway was a short walk away and easy to navigate (even for us who do not use public transportation regularly). Kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils..., beds were comfortable, shower had shampoo, conditioner, body wash which was a nice surprise. The floors were clean, but the couch had not been vacuumed after last guest. The tv in 3rd floor bedroom was not useable as no plug nearby for it. The tv on 1st floor was unplugged and remotes did not work (handyman must have known this as only way to turn tv off was to unplug). Jessica resolved by having a new one sent the next day. There was another issue that was brought to her attention which she would resolve. Having a working tv is a given when you stay at vrbo so this was frustrating and kept me from giving a higher score.

We had a great stay in this Fitler Square Trinity. The historically accurate stairs were steep, but the hand rails were helpful and we took our time going up and down.

This Fitler Square rowhouse was just perfect! The kitchen has everything we needed and we really appreciate the coffee and coffeemaker. The 3rd floor wifi extender was great. The 1st floor shutters provide the right amount of privacy while letting light in. The kitchen faucet has a little note saying "hot is down" - I can't tell you how many sinks are baffling as you wait for the water to heat up! And we loved the neighborhood - walking to Pizzata, the Penn Museum, CVS etc. Thanks for hosting, you've got a great house!

An absolute gem, in the perfect neighborhood. A beautiful park just a few blocks away, easy walking distance to historic sites, upscale (and dive!) bars, restaurants and shopping + public transit. We loved our stay in an authentic Trinity house, full of history and character. As advertised, it's small, but we had no issues at all with the size, since we were mostly out and about enjoying Philly, and the kitchen had everything we needed in an efficient layout. The host went out of her way to be helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Our family (mom/dad plus 10 & 13 y/o) spent a great week at this “trinity” rowhouse in the Filter Sq area. Loved house and its perfect location for our family to explore Center City and Penn’s campus. The house was built in 1810 and while we loved period architecture, it might not be appropriate for older travelers (these homes have *very* steep stairs).

Easy to find in a great location close to the Parkway, Penn and downtown, in a nice, diverse family neighborhood, this home is cozy and easily accommodated my three friends and me. Spiral staircase might be a challenge for some, but my 6'6" friend and I (6'7") managed fine. Hosts are very communicative and got right back to me if I had a question. A good place to sleep while exploring the city, the mattresses were excellent.

I stayed here for three nights with my husband and two children (7 & 5) over spring break. We thought the house was great overall—it was cool to see a historical home from 1810, and while small, it was comfortable for our downtime when we weren’t exploring the city. We were aware of the stairs being narrow and steep, but like other reviewers I’d just give a heads up for anyone with small children or mobility issues.
The owner was very thorough when communicating with us, and even let us check in early when we reached out because we had finished early at the zoo. There is a great guide on the kitchen wall, too. One thing I’d point out is that the neighbors are very strict about quiet time from 10pm to 8am. It was a little hard to keep the kids quiet in the morning but not a big issue for us.
There were a couple of things that need some attention though. First, the floors had not been cleaned. I had put on clean white socks and they were filthy within a few hours. You could also see in the bathroom that they just looked dirty. Then there were ants in the kitchen and bathroom. Not a ton of them, but I’m sure the owners will want to spray. The last thing isn’t a huge issue, but on the board in the kitchen it mentioned having AC units during the spring and summer months. It is mid-April and it got up to 85 while we were there, so it would have been nice to have them put in. The last night was pretty warm up on the third floor.
Overall we had a great time though!

We loved the location and enjoyed staying in a historic Trinity home. Jessica, the owner, was lovely to communicate with and responded quickly when we reached out to her.
Upon arrival, it was clear that the home had not been cleaned well. I contacted Jessica, and she promptly communicated with her cleaning crew and refunded our cleaning fee, which I greatly appreciated. I suspect that future renters will not have to worry about this issue.
All of us slept very well in the comfortable beds. Each of our two teenage boys had their own rooms, which was nice, and the balcony off the master bedroom was a treat with a view of the skyscrapers.
We really enjoyed walking the neighborhood(s) in and around the home and delighted in grabbing bites at local joints that were just steps from our front door. We felt like true Philadelphians. If you are considering a trip to Philly, you would be hard pressed to find a better location and a more charming home.

Living in History.
The intimate three floors connected by the worlds steepest stairway Is a real charmer. Located among other quality “rowhouses” creates a great historical ambience. Interior has been extremely well restored, especially the bathroom. Book it!

Jessica's place is a gem!
Wow! We just absolutely loved this charming property and the neighborhood. My children now want to live in Fitler Square. The house was clean, comfortable and updated with modern furnishings. We were able to walk to local restaurants and coffee shops. The best part for me was walking to the Schuylkill river park which has such lovely views. We will definitely be back as we have much more to explore in Philly. Thank you so much!

Fantastic property!
My family of 5 loved this property! The location made it possible to walk to most of the must-see Philadelphia sights. There was convenient pay parking located within a short walking distance. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen were clean, and the host was excellent with communication. We would definitely recommend!

Great location for urban relaxation
This trinity was the perfect headquarters for our visit to the city. The hosts have put attention to the details that matter. The decor was clean, simple and comfortable. The linens and mattresses were top notch. The bathtub was deep and clean with ample hot water for a soak.
The neighborhood was quiet and cozy with a friendly family buzz in the mornings. An excellent neighborhood restaurant on the corner (Ambrosia) and many coffee shops and green spaces in walking distance.
Only thing is that the steep trinity stairs are best for nimble folks, and parking was a little bit of a challenge. If you can arrive by public transport you won’t need a car. Everything you could want is nearby, even while the place feels tucked away. Highly recommended.

Great Family Vacation
We loved this Trinity home from the history of the home itself to the location, very family oriented. Has everything you could possibly need for an extended getaway. Cute coffee shops (we liked Rival Bros and Rowhome Coffee) and restaurants all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Charming home in an ideal location
We had a wonderful stay at Jessica’s home. It is just as cute in person as it was in the on line posting. Fitler Square is an ideal location -charming, historic, and walkable to UPenn, Rittenhouse Sq, And more. Jessica is a great communicator.

Absolutely Stunning!
Our family reserved this space so we could come and go rather easily from the city center of Philadelphia. However, once we opened the door to this beautiful home, we found a whole new direction for our adventure. We adored Fitler Square! The architecture, parks, history and beauty drew us in! Our family of five spent hours exploring the community. The home is a beautiful, clean, well-equipped space to stay. The cleanliness was exceptional! Beds and furnishings top of the line! We travel often throughout the US. This experience in Fitler Square and particularly this historical home is one of our very favorites!

Trinity on 24th
Adorable, clean, practical home, it had everything we needed for our 3 nights in Philly. The home fit myself, husband and 2 small children just fine. The stairs were a bit tricky but we were completely aware of that while booking. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. We were able to walk to the “Rocky steps”, Rittenhouse park, Market street, and Sunset Social for a rooftop movie, just to name a few! We would absolutely go back!

Live in Architectural History!
This place was such a fun adventure! I grew up in a row house, but a Trinity house is very different! The stairs are unique, and with all of the hand holds, it was like climbing to a tree house all the way to the 3rd floor! It was such an interesting house that I had to research more about these Trinity homes, their history, and the resurgence of interest in this tiny homes! I would definately stay there again!
