This rustic home has a unique Rodeo theme to it and lots of space. Very easy to get to wonderful spots such as Mt Rushmore, Hill City, Sturgis or other Black Hills locations.

Beautiful place! House Host was very knowledgeable about the area and very quick to respond. A little place of heaven just outside Hermosa😊

Nestled behind a creek, this house was the perfect spot to act as our base camp during out stay. Close to many attractions and amenities, yet offered solice at the end of a long day. Property is clean and inviting, our family felt right at home. Host was very nice and welcoming. Will book again if ever in the area!

Our family made a two day stop on our way out west. This property is close to many sites. We visited Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custard State Park. Our host gave us several great recommendations. I would love to come back some day and hear stories about the rodeo!

The location was secluded but also very a quick drive to the local attractions. Each day, we left early and came back late. It was the perfect spot to rest and rejuvenate for the next day’s adventure.

Had a great time. House is centrally located to almost anywhere you want to go, but is private and quiet. Kelli was wonderful and responded to all questions quickly. The bottom floor is mostly underground, so if it snells musty, there is a dehumidifier on the front porch. Totally fine within a few hours of running it. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!

It was completely private. And such a central location to where we had planned to visit. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of room. Our son-in-law brought his high powered binoculars and he was excited to see some deer. We awoke several mornings to turkey going through the property. We all felt very much at home.

We had a great time and enjoyed the patio on the evenings and listening to the turkeys.

Our family was very pleased with the house and location. It allowed easy access to many Black Hills attractions while giving us a peaceful place to relax in the evenings. The morning view off the front deck is beautiful!

They house was in a nice, quiet location, centrally located to everything we wanted to do in the Hills. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely stay here again if we are vacationing in the Hills.

My family wanted a cozy place that was secluded and private, while still being close enough to attractions that we could stay and relax or spontaneously go on adventures. This house, surrounded by trees, next to a little creek was delightful. My children played in the water, while we sat on the upstairs porch with coffee in hand. The landlady gave excellent suggestions for activities. The environment even inspired a trip to the Deadwood rodeo. We left satisfied and grateful for our stay.

Kelli's place was in an ideal location for exploring the Black Hills and Badlands. She provided great recommendations as well, which we took advantage of. It is close to groceries, gas, and a good pizza place. Rapid City is close by with bigger stores etc. The home itself is set in a peaceful area with a nearby creek and wildlife. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 3 children, and we especially enjoyed the use of the porch and outdoor space and grill. This is a lived-in farmhouse with personal touches, adding to its character and charm. Great for any person who loves horses/rodeo themes. The kitchen is adequately equipped, though it is without a dishwasher. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in the Black Hills. There is so much to see and do, and Kelli's home was a fantastic base.

Very nice, quiet place centrally located to some wonderful South Dakota attractions. Great scenery from the back yard looking towards Custer state park. Saw wildlife every evening. House had everything we could possibly need. Close to Rapid city, Badlands, Custer state park, Mount Rushmore and so much more. Host Kelli stayed in good contact and gave us great recommendations for surrounding places to go and see.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the somewhat hidden location and being able to escape the hustle of nearby towns. Kelli was an incredible host from offering suggestions on where to visit and making sure we were comfortable and had anything we needed. We stayed a total of 4 full days and that was barely enough to see Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, Mount Rushmore and Badlands National Park. Highly recommend checking out them all!

When I booked this I did not realize how beautiful the house and property would be. The house fit all of my family perfectly, everyone had the privacy they needed. Walking around the property was wonderful. We enjoyed the creek, the cows and horses. Sitting and eating breakfast outside with the sunshine was so nice. The bbq was great to use, especially after the long touring days of South Dakota. My 14 year old daughter was in awe of the beauty of the property and nature all around. Kelli the owner was very responsive to messages and gave great guidance of places to go. If I do come and visit the area again I would stay at this property again. I definitely recommend booking this property.

This is the perfect place.
It is peaceful, wildlife (saw deer and rabbits in the evening) and so convenient for going to Custer State Park and Rushmore. Don't miss out on the evening lighting ceremony at Mount Rushmore, a beautiful experience. Also our hostess was very kind to clue us in to her favorite Badlands overlook, Red Shirt Table overlook. If you are unsure what sights to see just ask Kelli, she is a wealth of information. I highly recommend staying here.

Excellent amenities & felt so homie with all the family pictures. Felt like our friend let us stay at their house while they were out of town. Definitely recommend & enjoyed sitting on the top porch for every meal & basically every time we got back to the house.

Nice, secluded get away. The wildlife was entertaining. Kelli kepted us informed all along the way. Perfect for small groups.

Was a perfect location for getting to all of the major attractions around Rapid City. A comfortable house with great beds AND pillows. Large rooms, W & D, equipped kitchen, with flocks of wild turkeys parading by a couple times a day and cows and horses grazing in the front yard. A great view sitting on upper porch sipping coffee in the am.
We also needed a two bedroom, two bath which was very hard to find in the area unless you looked for a large house.
This property was well priced.

Kelli was a warm host who made our stay comfortable. Kelli was easily accessible for any questions. The community of Hermosa was very welcoming also. Great location near the Black Hills and Badlands. The lovely creek and animals around the property further added to the experience.

We absolutely loved our stay. We came on our motorcycles and by car and enjoyed every bit of the accommodations and location. We had 4 but it would have easily slept 6 . Both a living space upstairs and downstairs which was nice. Beds comfortable. All the family pictures and rodeo pictures made you feel at home and part of the family. We cooked breakfast every morning and kitch well stocked with utensils Great porch balcony that we enjoyed every night. Cows and horses welcomed us each day as we returned. Daily visits from the turkeys. Very close to Custer state park where we enjoyed Buffalo jeep tour and chuckwagon dinner ( highly recommend ). Close to the Needles, iron mt rd, mt Rushmore, crazy horse. Spearfish canyon drive is beautiful and of course we did Deadwood and Sturgis since on our bikes. 1880s train in Keystone/ Hill city was very worth it. Badlands little over an hr away. Devils tower farther but well worth the drive and it’s a beautiful drive. Make sure to stop at Bell Forche ( geographical center of the US when including Alaska and Hawaii.) Cool spot with memorial and a great little museum. We ate at the Lazy R bar and grill twice as the food and atmosphere was great. I had steak and prime rib. Kelli was great with suggestions and very responsive to questions. I could go on and on. Loved this place !

Wonderful Stay
My family enjoyed our stay at Kelli's place. The best part was being in a peaceful location, surrounded by nature. It was great to see the deer, wild turkey, and cows every day. The home has everything you need to cook meals. Shampoo, soap, body wash, lotion, and hand sanitizer also provided. Check-in/out was easy and Kelli is quick to reply if you need anything else.

Great Location for Black Hills Vacation
We enjoyed the quietness and seclusion of the property. Yet, it was close to everything we wanted to visit (Bear Country, Mt Rushmore, trail riding, Chuckwagon supper, Rushmore Adventure Park, cave etc). The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, 2 levels for our own space, TV reception, a covered porch for relaxing, creek to sit by, deer walked by in the evening. I enjoyed the western, rodeo and Native American decor theme. There was also a covered grilling area available. I would recommend this property to anyone with or without children.
