Welcome to the Splendid Cottage located at #11 Coast Cottage Lane Saint Simons Island, Ga. Coast Cottages is one of the most sought after vacation areas on Saint Simons. There are two community pools located at the end of the street along with a private gated boardwalk that leads to one of the best beaches on the island. This cottage is situated with four bedrooms and three and one half baths. Located on the first floor are three guest bedrooms. In the first you have two sets of bunks with trundle beds beneath. The second and third guest room both have queen size beds. Walking up the stairs you will arrive on the second floor. Here you will find a good size living area, kitchen and dining area. There is an eating bar that seats five plus a dining table that seats eight. The kitchen has all stainless appliances and is fully stocked with everything that your family will need during your stay. Also located on this floor is the main living area with flat screen television and a huge front porch with table and seating for four along with lounging chairs and side tables. On the back porch located off the kitchen there is another eating table for four along with extra seating. Up the stairs to the third floor is where you will find the master suite. The master suite has a king sized bed, large bath area with walk in shower, garden tub and two sinks. Off the master you will find a covered porch with sitting chairs and a porch swing, perfect for enjoying that early morning cup of coffee or a private getaway to catch up on your latest novel. The Splendid Cottage is sure to be a family favorite for years to come.

The space was great for our family stay during a conference. Access to the pool and short walks to the beach and a playground were great for the kids.

The cottage was perfect to ring in my 40th birthday! The location was great and we loved the beach access. The street was so cute and very family friendly. Parking in limited in front of the house but the overflow parking was easy to use. The property manager was so great to work with. They respond very quickly to messages. We will be back for sure!

Overall, the house is wonderful, and it’s perfect for big families. There was an issue with the bathtub, but it was fixable. Communication with the property manager not so great, does not acknowledge your emails or messages, and if you have something that needs to be fixed they do not give you a heads up that they are coming. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay.

The house and the property was fantastic. We were joined by our 2 kids and spouses and their kids. We had a great week full of lasting memories. The only disappointment was somebody took our expensive beach chairs yesterday off the porch. I was loading our truck for todays departure and left for 10 minutes and they were taken.

We have stayed at the Coast Cottages many times before & love the location, pool & beach set up!
Unfortunately this home wasn’t our favorite 😭 we never received check in information, when we did the pool & beach code were incorrect. The hot water in the master shower didn't work, and the bathrooms were not fully stocked with towels & toilet paper.
For the price of this house i would look elsewhere within the neighborhood. Location is the best!! But not our favorite house so far.
Seems to be if you book through VRBO the management company doesn’t give you as much attention.

Beach Fun at its Best
Splendid Cottage is located in a very convenient area of the island. Multiple decks allow for views of the water, pool, nature and the morning sunrise. Having direct access and less than two minutes walk to be on the beach is awesome. The cottage itself is beautiful, well laid out for privacy and allows for everyone to experience the “beach lifestyle “. Kudos for having such a beautiful home and sharing it with others! Thank you, We plan to return in the future . My only advice is to please repair the rooftop deck railing as it is a major hazard if anyone chooses to access it during their stay. As a side note, having access to a broom, dustpan and vacuum would make it much easier when vacationing for more than a day or two. Thank you again!

The location is great, the house is great and the property management is great! We had one minor plumbing issue the first day which was rapidly addressed and fixed by the property management. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

Splendid time at Splendid
This cottage was exactly what our family needed for a comfortable, enjoyable vacation. We loved all the porches and spent lots of time there. The kitchen was well equipped and well used by our family for dinners. We had several game nights at the big dinner table. Well stocked with towels and beach gear.

Splendid Cottage was splendid.
This was is a great cottage to stay in while visiting St. Simon’s Island. Never felt crowded despite 7 adults and 5 kids. Bunk room was great for the kids and the other 3 bedrooms were very comfortable. Appliances worked great. Multiple porches including a covered porch off the kitchen were great escape places. Internet worked flawlessly which was essential to us. We have stayed multiple times in the Coastal Cottage development and this location exceeded our expectations. All of us would gladly book this property again.

Great spot
Beautiful rental in a great spot. Beautiful little street and pool area right on the water. The house itself is adorable and very well layed out for families. Ice maker a HUGE bonus. Great outdoor patio areas- couldn't have asked for anything more. As an added referral- we had a little issue with parking passes and the property manager was great- quick and easy phone call and they came and resolved and brought us passes- no drama, VERY nice and easy. This always makes me feel better, if there were a big issue- they would be great to work with.

Girls Getaway
The property is wonderful and we found it to be as described.
It sits on a charming, quiet street that we were fortunate to call home for a long weekend.
There were some things that we thought might help future guests. Although there was a coffee pot, it was a four-cup size, which in reality, made enough for two coffee mugs. We had to brew five pots on the first morning. There weren't any hangers in any of the closets. (maybe the previous guests forgot to leave them?) There were no tissues and the toilet paper was not enough for the four of us on our short stay. The biggest issue however was the sporadic wifi. We had to unplug and reboot the wifi at least once an hour while in the house. If you intend to work remotely while here, you will have an issue. Lastly, do not pack a large, heavy suitcase if staying in the master suite on the third floor. A few smaller bags will be easier to maneuver up the 2 tall staircases and your back will thank you.
Aside from the few items mentioned above, we had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, the home is lovely, and it was a relaxing time for all. It should be noted that the property management company was swift to return our call and had a full sized coffee pot and hangers delivered before 10am on the second day. Great response.
We would not hesitate to stay at this delightful home again in the future.

Birthday Beach Weekend
A small group of friends and I stayed at this property to celebrate my birthday. The house was lovely, clean and more than spacious. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen equipment and beach supplies (towels, beach chairs, beach bags) for us to use. The house is in walking distance from the beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and enjoyed our stay very much!

Wonderful kid friendly property
Great family house - nice layout for 2 (or more families). Love bunk room decor! The trundle beds are a plus. Close to pools and beach; located toward the back of the street which means very little traffic. Two nice balcony spaces in front and additional balcony in back; these were larger than expected from photos. Having an undercounter ice maker was a perk. Lots of closet storage space for clothes + larger items.

A splendid getaway.
We could not have asked for a better place to stay on St. Simons. Our family loves the beach, we love a good pool, we love a nice restaurant and we love a good house to rest and relax in along the way. This property will exceed your expectations. The stroll out to the beach is very short and is beautiful at all times of the day. There are 2 pools to choose from and the kids could not spend enough time in them. The amenities are immaculate throughout and were lacking in no areas. We will definitely be seeking this property out for our next visit on the island and will count ourselves lucky to find it available to us. Thank you, Benji and Team.

Splendid cottage was splendid!
Splendid cottage was fabulous! The decor was absolutely lovely...not a spot overlooked, but not overdone. So many areas in the home to gather as a group as well as books to find a spot of alone time. There were even beach towels and beach bags to use! The neighborhood was delightful, felt like a small community of happy friendly vacationers. The rental agents were easy to contact and very helpful. Would definitely rent again.
