Ratings and reviews

Most of the reviews rave about this place but there are areas which need attention to live up to those rating in my opinion.
Pros- nice deck, comfy beds, great kitchen
Cons:
- no parking and street parking isn’t easy.
- no shades/blinds on sliding glass doors in main room= very warm blinding sun in afternoon
- walkway lighting not working= hard to see steps at night.
- 2nd bedroom has tiny sliding windows near ceiling which doesn’t provide adequate ventilation unless you leave bedroom door open-
( A/C only in main room)
One final comment- this is the first Seattle rental that did not provide decent coffee that this area is known for- which seems odd. Folgers is pretty much bottom of the barrel. This is an easy fix.

Reviewer Comments:
Home was the nicest stock of kitchen and bath items ever! The back deck was a great view. Lots to walk to. Our only complaint was both nights the renters above this unit must have danced and moved furniture. It was hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. We put our air pods in to drown it out.

It was great to have a place to have a daughter from out of town and a daughter that lives in Seattle all together for a beautiful week.
Very convenient location!
5.0 / 5.0
Easy place to cook and do some computer work. Beds and pillows were comfortable. I think this would be a problem for two couples because of the small bathroom area. I would probably be okay for a family of 3 or 4. My wife and I were happy with it.
Crowded street parking was the only option and it can be tough to find a parking spot close by. The house is on a long hill, so carrying items in or out can be an issue.
2.0 / 5.0
If you are in any way sensitive to noise / stomping overhead I cannot stress enough that you should close your browser tab immediately and look elsewhere.
While the property is nice with good amenities (although some things could use a little elbow grease) the worst part of the entire experience is the passive-aggressive bozo of a neighbor upstairs. While they are home you will hear constant stomping across the entire unit at all hours of the day, even well into the night on a weekday. This is clearly a known issue as seen from multiple reviews left in the guest book and online. Management will play coy and 'reach out' to the upstairs tenant to no avail as it seems the neighbor has a personal vendetta against any downstairs renters.
We had to leave early as attempting to work remotely from this location proved near impossible with how distracting it was, the best part is you will still get walloped with a large 'cleaning' fee on top of all this.
Overall an extremely regrettable experience.

Convenient location in Fremont with a wonderful view of Queen Anne. Open kitchen and living room space is comfortable with a touch of modern sophistication, making it a great place to have a meal and relax after a long day.

I was unhappy with the document I received a few days before my stay which stated that the neighbors would be watching me and will be ready to call the police if needed. This made me feel uncomfortable the whole stay. Also, the bed was not king sized as advertised, which was very disappointing. The AC would not work for us, until the last day it suddenly started working. The location is great and the kitchen was nice, but I couldn't get over the feeling that someone was watching me. I would not recommend this place for anyone who values privacy.
4.0 / 5.0
Quiet neighborhood and very walkable to restaurant shops, etc. Comfortable home with the basic necessities. The terrace was a plus since we had lovely weather and could enjoy it!
4.0 / 5.0
I found it ridiculous that we got reminded of their no smoking policy for smoking outdoors. Nothing in the listing or in the emails they sent (including requesting a copy of my license) mention anything about not smoking outside on the large patio. If you do not want people smoking outside, you should clearly call that out in your listing. I mentioned this in my response to the host, but they didn't bother to respond.
Overall the place was nice, view from the patio is fantastic and we would stay here again. The neighborhood feels safe and very walkable to restaurants and coffee shops. That said, they definitely have some things they could improve. The toilet seat and toilet itself were loose. Several outlets were installed so poorly they have gaps between the cover plate and the drywall. The outlet to the left of the sink is broken/not installed properly causing it to be loose. Almost all of the recessed lights are installed so poorly you can see light coming out between the fixtures and the ceiling. You can't turn off the heated floor in the bathroom. The flooring was installed incorrectly as it has gaps between the floor and the wall. Kick plates not installed under the cabinets. Overall, someone did a very poor/shody job on this remodel.
Also, the neighbors above move around quite loudly, you will hear them.
One last thing which I find pretty gross, there was a Bard colon tube in the cabinet behind the mirror above the toilet.

This place was worth every penny! Very spacious, clean, lots of nice amenities, and a great location! Even our two year old had fun and we weren’t constantly worried about her getting into stuff. Would 100% recommend this stay!

Love the neighborhood, well stocked kitchen and fun old school Nintendo set was a fun surprise.

It’s a great property and a great location! My only comment would be that there was a fair amount of noise from the above apartment - people
walking around mostly - but otherwise it was fine!

This property had all of the things we needed. It was well-appointed and cozy. Our group enjoyed being able to convene on the patio and take in the sights. The proximity to food, drink, and activities was top notch. Would definitely recommend!

Property appears to have been updated, but work seemed poorly done. The property smelled musty. The bathroom seat and floors were heated and couldn't be shut off.

Four of us had a great time relaxing here. The beds are small, but we all managed to sleep good sharing the space. We could hear the upstairs neighbors walk around & when they had a little house party. But it wasn’t over the top & didn’t bother us. Would stay there again.

Overqall one of the best VRBO we've rented. Clean, roomy for 4 and relaxing. Close to everything we could need for our stay.

Great stay and location to explore Fremont! Close to UW, as we were visiting our son there. Pictures and reviews are all accurate, beautiful property with all the amenities. Only a few “others” for the property. The fireplace not working/available was a bit of a disappointment, considering the cold rainy weather. The street parking can be difficult to find a spot at night/weekends. As noted in a previous review, the tenants upstairs walk around very heavy-footed, you’ll definitely hear them. But all of these were what we consider minor and didn’t over-shadow the wonderful weekend we had.

We really loved this house. Lots of character, high ceilings, view of beach. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when we need space for a larger group.

My husband and I were visiting Seattle for the first time and stayed in the Fremont neighborhood at the suggestion of a friend. We found this great property and we were so happy with both the accomodations and the location! The pictures online are accurate. It is a cute and cozy lower level unit, that feels completely open because if the full walkout to a gorgeous patio. The kitchen and bathroom are beautiful. Fremont was a very walkable neighborhood with tons of options for restaurants, breweries, activities and grocery. There were people walking everywhere. It felt safe and friendly. The communication from the property owners/manager was great. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for our son’s wedding over Labor Day weekend. The place was lovely, clean and comfortable. It is close to everything you would want or need in Seattle. Honestly, the only downside was that the upstairs tenants were very heavy walkers.
5.0 / 5.0
The accommodations were wonderful, communication with the owners was really good…overall it was a great experience.
5.0 / 5.0
Freemont Lookout is the perfect place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. There is plenty to see and do within walking distance.
4.0 / 5.0
The accommodations were just as pictured in the listing. The kitchen is updated with all ammenities. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice addition! The deck was private with a great view of Mt. Rainier. The property is within walking distance to everything in downtown Fremont and close to the bus stops that take you downtown. We also had no issue finding street parking nearby.
The only downfall was that the property had not been cleaned before our arrival. The beds had been stripped and the dirty sheets were in piles on the floor. We needed to wash the linens ourselves in order to have something to sleep on that night. The bathroom had clearly not cleaned with hair on the vanity and in the shower. There was also dirt on the carpets that needed vacuuming. The property management offered to send someone to clean within 30 minutes; however, we had been traveling all day with small kids and it was easier just to do it ourselves so they could get to bed.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this location. It was in a fantastic area - walking distance to everything (even with a two-year old!). We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The fireplace did not work, the patio overhead string lights did not work and the door is difficult to lock. The manager did not help when informed him of the issues.

The Fremont Lookout was a dream come true. The home is well-appointed, spacious and bright, and very clean. The location couldn't be better for exploring Seattle. The photos of the deck don't do it justice (an UberEats driver even took selfies on it!). We can't wait to come back.

Wonderful stay; responsive management
This was a spacious place with stay with a luxurious feel. The kitchen is delightful to cook in, and the view is expansive. We had problems getting the lockbox to work, and the fireplace was out of commission for several days. Every time I called management, however, they were very responsive. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fremont Lookout. It was very clean and we enjoyed the kitchen as we were escaping our kitchen remodel in Colorado. The place is very clean, well decorated and it even has a view of Mt Rainer on a clear day. We had just a few things that were an issue. The shower was a bit treacherous. It's pretty but it is small and slippery, not a great design at all. The door knob to the laundry room is nearly impossible to open, so much so that it seems locked. The towels for showers were in the laundry room and we thought the door was locked, so I thought the staff forgot to give us towels. I called the rental company and they never go back to us. By husband finally got the door open but he thoght he was going to break the door handle. Also when I emailed the the rental company earlier in the day that I needed the lockbox info the response was for me to look in my email. But my phone wouldn't re-load my older email and it was just a frustrating to call and be passed around. Also parking is a bit of an issue around the house as well, but that is Seattle. All in all it seems there is always something when staying in a place- so you take the good with the bad. The place is really pretty, beds are comfy and it is very clean.

We absolutely loved this property were sad to leave. To start, it was lovely to enjoy the cool weather on the huge patio & the view of Mt Rainier was a wonderful surprise & made it even better! The place was full of sunlight, all the rooms were spacious & the kitchen had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We loved opening the patio doors while enjoying a meal in the dining room. There were so many small features that made the place even better like the remote controlled screens, heated bathroom tile & quality finishes. The beds were incredibly comfortable so we had a great night sleep every night. The location was great in the Fremont neighborhood - which was convenient to the rest of the city & fun to wander around. We were a little concerned about street parking but it was never an issue. We had a fantastic stay & when we visit Seattle again we hope to stay here again! It was so comfortable & a really enjoyable place to come back to after a long day out & about. We highly recommend!
