Sehr gut !

Best thing about it was the thermal waters, small area but relaxing, food was amazing.
Old room, that was a little bit smelly (old wood), the AC’s location was the worst, right nxt to the bed, all the air was hitting on my head, had to come up with ways to cover it without us suffering at night from the heat. My husband abd I did a couple massage, in fact it was a cuddle, they barely touched us, although i asked for more pressure, it was a waste of money in fact that massage gave me more stress!

What a wonderful, peaceful, clean family owned hotel. The hotel is beautiful throughout and very well maintained. The staff are so professional and helpful. Some of the staff speak multiple languages which is very impressive - They have Italian, English, German, Dutch and French speaking guests. The hotel has direct access to Maronti beach with free loungers and umbrellas and also has an indoor and outdoor pool. Every part of the hotel was clean. The food was exceptional - fully recommend the half board option for adults. It represents good value and there are choices for each course. There is a generous selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and cocktails/mocktails on the menu - expertly made with fresh local produce and not excessively priced. Reception was very helpful and informative. The hotel does cater for children but is probably best suited to adults. We were treated to two fantastic firework shows during our stay - one from the neighbouring campsite and the other from a small boat on the sea. The air conditioning in the rooms was sufficient to keep me nice and cool. The extra door between the hall and my room helped ensure a peaceful sleep. I stayed in a single room with a partial sea view and the room wasn’t too small. The bed was a good size for a single too.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but other guests might benefit from the following information. There’s no kettle in the room. This wasn’t an issue but if we’d realised beforehand we probably would have brought a travel kettle.
The mosquitos were a nuisance - recommend you bring a deterrent and something to treat any bites.
The hotel has a selection of books on the third floor as you get out the lift but they’re pretty high brow so you either want to bring sufficient with you or you can take a trip to Sant Angelo where there’s a small selection of English books in the shop at the top of the hill.

Friendly staff. Very calm and quiet place. At the end of April, almost no one. The thermal water pool is amazing! The pool is warm and pleasant to swim even in cloudy weather in the end of April. Nice big beach. Also the children were impressed by the turtles that live in the pond on the territory of this hotel :)
You have to take the bus to the shops. Only cafes and restaurants are within walking distance.

This hotel is a lovely old fashioned traditional Italian hotel with a fabulous modern spa. So the best of both worlds. We spent a week at this hotel and loved the location, the beach, the selection of beach restaurants for lunch. We had dinner in the hotel each night. Ristorante Ida and Bar Iario were our favorites for lunch and evening Aperitivo. The Spa with thermal water pools is excellent and those you do not use it miss a wonderful relaxing part of the hotel/ holiday. The treatments in the Spa are excellent. We had the Ayurvedic massage with Annarita and she is the best! A beautiful relaxing massage. I also had some other treatments which I enjoyed.
There is a lot to do on Ischia and the buses are easy from the hotel, but the water taxi from Maronti beach to Sant Angelo is fun and easy. I would recommend walking to Sant Angelo once it’s a good walk which does requires a little effort! Don’t miss the hot water sea at Sorgeto accessible from Sant Angelo by water taxi. Or the Giardini la Mortella. Flipflopsincluded was a great blog with tips for what to do in Ischia. Enjoy……. Lovely hotel, beautiful island.

This is a place where you can tell the staff are happy to work there. The hotel glows with pride from its cleanliness, to the facilities, to the proximity to the beach. The breakfast was fantastic each morning and the staff incredibly professional and accommodating.
Niente. I would return in a heartbeat.

Beautiful location, elegant hotel and top class service all coupled with a pool set in a lovely garden. Lunch at the pool bar is great. Several good quality restaurants along the beach.

One of the nicest and loveliest hotels I've satayed in in my life. Everything you lay your eyes on is beautiful : the garden, the pool, the view. While SPA equipment is modern, they decided to keep the original 70's design of the bedrooms, bar and restaurant and we absolutely loved it! It gives an incredible charm to the place and the authentic atmosphere. The staff is super nice and helpful. They make you feel welcome and take care of you sincerely. The hotel has its own source of thermal water that fills both pools, indoor and outdoor, and it's located on the most beautiful beach of the island. We stayed for 9 days in October 2021. We had a lovely time and would definitely go back, as a lot of people appear to be doing every year.
Nothing to say here, everything was very good !

The location of the property is perfect on Maronti Beach — walk from the pool out to the sand. Unless you’re staying at Mezzatore, this is the place to be based. Easy good restaurants on boardwalk and easy water taxi (be prepared to get wet and walk in wet sand). Absolutely lovely. Volcanic hot water heated pool. Great breakfast buffet 7-10am. Marmalade croissants, eggs, yogurt, salad basics. Reasonably good wifi for island (better than Capri!).
Staff not super helpful and slow; rooms are clean and cold but are dated and small beds, small showers. You’re here for the beach, not a Four Seasons. Property looks to be out of a Wes Anderson film.

The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming at Smeraldo Terme which really is what made our stay so nice and relaxing. Everything we needed the staff were happy to help us with. The pool was heated and such a delight to enjoy at the beginning of the summer season when it is normally a bit too cold. Property is lovely and has a rare original charm feel to it that is rare these days. Lovely garden at the entrance, nice bar. Staff super friendly and helpful.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is very attentive and despite being the busiest week of the year, there was enough space and care for social distance and everyone's health and safety.
Location is great, spa amazing, and the whole place brings an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity reminiscent of another age.
I should have gone in another season - outside of the hotel it was just too packed with people and a little overwhelming. But it's August in Italy and one can't expect it to be any different.
