Chilled and relaxing. Paul was brilliant and really helpful about the local area and things to do.

The guesthouse was very quaint .The room was clean and tidy, Paul was very friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was great too. We found a lovely cafe on the main street for our lunch and The Lamb and Flag pub did a great meal for our evening meal.
The room was cold on our arrival but soon warmed up with the heater on.

Situated on a road just off town centre, therefore very quiet. People in reviews previously said room was small, but it was perfect. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was just the right size for the room. The window was also small but adequate to give the correct amount of light to be comfortable.
We had a really good nights sleep and had breakfast next morning.
The check out time was OK for us, and the owners were very courteous throughout our stay.
The place was close enough to the town so we could explore the locality, and we were recommended places to eat as The Horseshoe didn't do evening meals.
We can recommend the pub virtually next door (The Eagle) for a drink when you leave the car or bike for the night.
We had a good meal in The Castle as recommended by our host, great chilli and hot dogs.
We loved this place the only one thing we didn't like was the coffee (minor point) but please make it a bit more like coffee next time.

Superb breakfasts. The 'loft' room suited our party of four adults. Paul was an excellent host. Secure storage for our mountain bikes. Easy access to the mountain bike trails in Elan Valley (we were able to ride from the guesthouse). Very good cafe (The Lost Ark) and pub for evening meals (The Triangle Inn) just a few minutes' walk away from the Guesthouse.
Having to leave on Sunday afternoon to return home!

Very charming guest house in the middle of Rhayader. I was very well looked after by Paul and Laura both in terms of my stay in Rhayader and my greater tour of Wales. Mountain road and Elan Valley were amazing.

The owner was a really obliging gentleman who cooked and served a great breakfast. The room was warm and comfortable. We booked the two bedroomed suite which was up very steep stairs in the loft. My 82 year old mother did manage but bear this in mind if you have elderly guests in your party and wouldn't be good for a family with young children. We loved it though and were very happy.
It was all great and perfect for our one night stopover to visit the Gigrin Red Kite Farm and Elan Valley
