About this house rental
Come stay at the Treehouse - a lake house on beautiful Lake Hartwell, and located 20 minutes from downtown Hartwell.
The house has a massive kitchen, with a custom-made table to seat 16, perfect for making memories over shared meals with family or friends.
Everyone will have their own space at this house, with 6 bedrooms including 1 with built-in bunks to sleep 4-6. 5 of the 6 have lake views, so no one has to fight for the best room in the house!
We call it the Treehouse because the elevation of the property makes the living room feel like you’re in the trees - a wonderful setting to take your coffee in the morning.
Of course, you don’t come to the lake to sit in the house - we have a covered dock on deep water (~30 ft) just off the main body of Lake Hartwell, perfect to float off the dock, or keep your boat while you’re not out on the lake. When night falls, get off the water and enjoy a beautiful fire pit with stars overhead (s’mores recommended).
We hope you’ll enjoy your stay at the Treehouse as much as we do - please feel free to contact us with any questions!

This is our second time staying at this property and it now feels just like home! The owners see to it that you have everything necessary to enjoy quality time with family and friends. We especially appreciate the basics (t.p., paper towels, spices, plenty of dishes and glassware for a crowd). The house is so large that each family has their own space and yet we can all be at the large dining table or down at the dock together. Thank you all for sharing your treasure with us!

This property is amazing! We stayed a week for our family vacation and no one wanted to leave. The lake was beautiful and loved watching the deer roaming over the property daily. The house was beautiful and very comfortable; plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was awesome and fully stocked with everything you will need. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the owners for sharing your awesome house!!!!

We absolutely love this house! This was our second summer here and already plan on coming back in 2025. This house is super clean, everyone friendly, great spot in the lake and large dock! Corinne was always quick to respond with any questions we had. Plenty of everything you need in the kitchen from dishes to cooking spices. If this house was for sale, I’d buy it!!! 10 stars!!!!

We have never used VRBO before, but we have also never had the need to accommodate such a large group. It was nerve racking selecting a place where we would all fit, would be a reasonable distance from the Clemson campus, and would all have something we would enjoy doing. The Treehouse perfectly fit the bill. The rooms are generous in size, the mattresses are luxurious, and the amount of indoor gathering space was perfect. Corrine was always accessible and responsive, even fun to chat with! The icing on the cake was renting a pontoon from neighbor, Kyle. When you have a large group it is hard to keep everyone entertained all the time but we never had to worry about that. Some guests went shopping in town, some went for a drive through the country but the bulk of the time we all spent together on the boat, on the screened in porch or in the kitchen. I cannot recommend the Treehouse highly enough. Only one word of caution: the walk down to the water is very, very steep (which means the walk up is, too). Anyone with a disability or with trouble walking would not be able to traverse the decline/incline. We had folks in their 60s make the trip many times and everyone's breathlessness, regardless of age, was a running joke for our group.

The house was very spacious and provided plenty of room for our group. The communal spaces provide plenty of room for groups to hang out. The kitchen was our favorite part of the house since we were able to move around easily while preparing meals for our group.
The owners were very quick to respond and assist with some minor issues that came up, so we were able to enjoy the weekend with peace of mind.
We were extremely pleased with the home and are looking to book again if possible.

Family from Rome and Milledgeville, Ga…..Spartanburg and Charleston, SC…met up for weekend.
House was very nice, clean and roomy! We felt it would be so nice to have a wet bar or mini frig in the upstairs laundry room, an extra chair and mirror in the king bedroom, and since the kitchen and dining area takes up the entire downstairs a couple of “comfy” chairs would be nice! Kitchen was super, big, two frigs, and well equipped.
Thanks for a fun place to meet up!

Little did I know when we booked this property, I would be booking the place I get engaged at! The home is beautiful, clean and plenty big enough for our large family. We loved it!

With many family members still living in or near Hartwell, we decided to rent a home there. As soon as I saw the picture of the kitchen table I knew that’s where we were staying! The kitchen was fantastic!
The stairway down to the kitchen does have a low spot, at 5’6” I didn’t have to duck, but my 6’7” husband did, he’s mostly used to ducking. My 90 year old 6’ father had no trouble getting up and down the stairs.
My grandkids LOVED the bunkhouse! It was like their own little apartment within the house.
The house was roomy, if you needed space, you could find a quiet spot.
At one point on Christmas Eve we had about 20 people at the house, and it was comfortable, not crowded.
It made for a wonderful Christmas!!

The house was awesome, lots of space and we got lots of exercise with the 3 levels. And loved the table because everyone was able to sit in one spot to eat. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a men's retreat from our church with eight guys and it was a perfect house. The back screen porch and the fire pit out front are great hangouts. The kitchen is huge with more cabinets than I've ever seen in a house but too many is better than not enough. The kids area and bunk beds were perfect. All the beds were pretty comfy. The decor is nice. We didn't use the lake or dock at all, so I can't comment on it. Kitchen was well stocked with great pots/pans/utensils and with some basics.
Overall, we loved the place and I highly recommend it.

Overall, I’d say we all had a great time. We had 8 adults, 2 teens & a dog in our party. There was plenty of room for all of us. Potential future guests really rely on the reviews so I want to be upfront with everything we loved but also the things we didn’t like.
You enter the house on the main level, the layout flowed nicely and offered comfortable seating & plenty of blankets. We weren’t thrilled to find out that there was some steep stairs leading down to the kitchen that is on the first floor. My dad being 82 years old & reliant on a cane had a difficult time going up and down these stairs. Also, the men in our family are all over 6 feet tall; if you’re not careful you will hit your head.
The kitchen was beautiful w/plenty of cabinet space and came well stocked w/pots, pans, plates, cups and utensils and two refrigerators. An extra coffee maker would’ve been helpful given all 10 people in our party drink coffee. We loved the huge dining room table! There is a full bathroom off the kitchen, the bar that held the shower head fell off the wall on our last morning in the house.
The patio was a little dirty and had some cobwebs but was a nice place to sit and have your morning coffee or evening cocktails
The queen beds were old and you would sink to the middle when getting in. The shower on the 3rd floor stopped mid-shower & that person had to finish downstairs. Two tanks on the toilets on the main level wouldn’t fill w/water so we had to wait to flush them.

Wonderful home with everything needed to enjoy time with the family. Tons of space to spread out, but great areas to come together for meals and relaxing together. The owner was very easy to communicate with! Fun and peaceful!

The previous reviews were very accurate! Lovely home, decor, every thoughtful detail we could think of was provided! We all felt like we had our own private levels and yet could come together for meals! Thank you for sharing your wonderful lake home with us!

We had a wonderful time all week. Plenty of room for a large family like ours. Beds were very comfortable. The screened in porches were really nice. The kids bunk room was perfect for all our grandkids. And the dinner table was great for our large family. Renting a boat made it great too on the lake tubing. Glad we found this place.

I can’t say enough about this property. The screened in porches, super clean, the comfortable beds, the huge and well stocked kitchen, the huge dining table for meals and game nights, the location on the lake, perfect dock for the boat and ski-doos and just hanging out, etc etc….!!! There wasn’t an inch of this property we didn’t use and enjoy!! Communication was on point as well. We booked for next summer before we left and this is a first repeat location for us after 8 years of looking for properties on the lake. The perfect vacation home!!!

We were a family party of 14 adults and 2 children. The house was just PERFECT. Five of the adults were Twenty-Something cousins who stayed in the bunk room like camp. The separate room with the bean bags and big screen where they could do their gaming was, in their words, "SWEET!" Our two little granddaughters thought the secret alcove with the play kitchen was magical. There was plenty of room to spread out, but when mealtime came, it was glorious to be able to put everyone around the huge table. I wish I could have taken the kitchen home with me. SOO well-equipped with high-end everything. The decor is modern and soothing, and the house was sparkling clean. There is a nice huge dock by the boat slip, big enough to erect a tent for shade. The ONLY drawback we found, which is no one's fault, is the very steep grade from the house to the dock, but there is a wide side-walk and a railing. KUDOS to Corrine for offering such a lovely getaway!

Overall the place was almost perfect. So close to perfect we’d consider returning. The house had plenty of space, a huge, and I mean huge kitchen with two fridges. The lake was absolutely gorgeous as well. The only one issue that we had as well as others from previous reviews was the water pressure. We learned quick on that first night that you could really only use one shower at a time, anything more and you’d run the risk of the water completely shutting off on you while showering. There were two separate evenings where water stopped flowing from the shower head and one of those nights there was no one else showering or no other water running. We adjusted and did not let that hinder or change our overall perception of the lake house, because again it was a beautiful home, very clean, and right on the lake which was absolutely gorgeous. Just got to get that water pressure issue fixed and we’d 100 percent return!!!

We truly enjoyed the wonderful home and all
that Lake Hartwell has to offer. The home was super for my family and the bedrooms and common spaces fit us perfectly! We loved the large downstairs kitchen area and the living space on the second floor provided great family fun time. The walkway to the dock was new as well as the gangway to the dock! We could not have picked a better place for our annual 10 day Lake Hartwell stay! Hope to stay again!! Corinne was also extremely responsive to our needs, was very pleasant and an outstanding host!

My family and I enjoyed the house so much. We had plenty of space to spread out if needed or stay close to play games. We felt it was far enough away from stuff we didn’t feel the need to go out and mostly just stayed in and played games, ate lots of food and just did whatever we wanted. Lots of wildlife to watch outside all the windows. Down the road during walks we found a wild animal rehab with a deer who is very friendly. Again we throughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Best Lake Stay Yet!
This place is amazing! We've been on multiple lake house vacations, and this is by far the best experience! The house easily accommodated my extended family and gave us and the kids plenty of space. The kids loved the bunk room. I appreciated multiple nooks and comfy spots for me to read and do schoolwork. We cooked every night for a week and the large table was great for family dinners. The place was super clean and has practically everything you could imagine. 2 refrigerators were a huge plus! The beds and linens were well above par for a vacation home. For homes that will accommodate pets, it's hard to find something doesn't have dog hair and dander, but I didn't see a single animal hair all week! The spacious dock easily housed our rental boat and the stair steps style ladder coming out of the water made entry and exit from the water more comfortable for our less fit family members. Multiple porches afforded great conversation spaces putting momma in that front porch swing every night. Location was great, just far away enough from town that you're in the country, but close enough a store run isn't a major inconvenience. We also appreciated being relatively close to 2 marinas to gas up the boat. The owners were amazing with communication! We had a slow drain issue early in the stay and we alerted the owner. She immediately got her maintenance guy to contact us on a Sunday evening! He ended up coming out at 8:00pm on a Sunday night just to resolve what could have turned into a more serious issue. The personal attention with these homeowners set this experience apart from management companies that might consider your highly anticipated vacation as just another guest in a revolving door. We like to experience different homes and lakes each year, but after this stay everyone said we should come back to this same house every year!

Amazing weekend trip!
This place was so awesome! It was a great location, right on the water, so clean when we arrived, and very spacious. It had all the right amenities and it was super easy to get in contact with the owner. Great outdoor space & we LOVED the kitchen area (especially the large table). Would 100% come back again!!!

Wedding trip and Family Vacation
We had such a wonderful time at this home. It was like we were at home. Our oldest son got married in Danielsville. So it was a perfect location for all of us to stay. My only complaint or concern , I had 3 elderly family members with bad hips and knee. There are alot of steps to go down to the kitchen up to the 3rd floor and out the front door. But if you ask them. They all said they would go to the house again even with all the steps that it was perfect. I Hope to plan another trip back there.

Wonderful July Family Vacation
This house was wonderful. From the welcoming front porch swing to the dock, this house meet our family’s needs.
The kitchen was great and the dining table was wonderful, room for everyone to eat together.
We had two boats which we used daily and were able to tie up at dock with plenty of room for sitting on dock, swimming and fishing.
A great place for family vacation with two screened in back porches to relax in the evening while making home made ice cream.
We really enjoyed this great house. It felt like home Will try and come back soon

Family Vacation
We spend a week with family vacationing on Lake Hartwell every year. This property is nice and has a lot of potential. The living space is very nice with lots of bedrooms and common areas. My son and I enjoyed playing checkers at the game table. Plenty of space for our party of 12. The kitchen is quite impressive with tons of gathering space. I could tell it was a recently added rental because there were not a lot of pots, pans and mixing bowls. There were plenty of small bowls, glasses and silverware.. Also, there is a double oven but the bottom oven door doesn't close properly so we couldn't use it. Also, there are some A/C issues where parts of the house were quite warm (bunk room especially) and other parts were very cool. The outside has a nice sitting area with a fire pit and the screened in porch is very comfortable. Overall the house was great. The property owner was very responsive to messages.

Wonderful week at the Lake.
I would have rated it 6 stars if possible. Great spaces in the house for everyone. Swimming off the dock in quiet cove was a real hit. House was well supplied with everything we needed. Proximity to the big water made boating a breeze. We plan to go back.

Fabulous Family Reunion Spot
We loved the house. Plenty of room for all 12 of us. The large table was a joy. Two fridges, ovens, sinks, which we put to good use. The lower screened in porch was a favorite spot to hang out with comfy furniture. The dock is nice size, and we rented a boat from Get My Boat.
There were some AC circulation and low water pressure issues on the top floor - the bunk room stayed hot while the other rooms on the top floor were cold. Often very low water pressure in the 3rd floor shower and some of the other showers.
Very well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of pots and pans, cutting boards, tupperware. Bring your own crockpot and the can opener was tricky to use.
The incline down to the water isn't steep, and our elderly folks handled it well. Wish the firepit was out back, but I'm guessing the corp that manages the lake doesn't allow it?
All the furniture and decor in the house is lovely and nice quality. The bedding and towels are high quality. The cove is lovely, and we were there July 10-17 and barely saw any other people, so it was a very safe spot for skiing/tubing.
Ingle's grocery store is just 15 mins away. The neighborhood where the house is located is lovely and great for walking/running.
The house is dog friendly, which we really appreciated. There's a set of dog bowls by the back door.
The grill is very nice, grill tools are there. There was a baby pool under the porch. We loved the outdoor shower, the clotheslines and many hooks for hanging up wet things were great. Nice collection of games and books are there.
We had an issue with the sink when we arrived, but someone came immediately to fix it.
Overall, it was a fabulous 5 star family reunion for our extended family. So very thankful.
