Inside the home, a spacious living area with gas fireplace adjoins the gourmet kitchen with rustic, cheerful décor and premium stainless-steel appliances. With seating for 4 at the breakfast bar and 8 at the dining table, guests can enjoy creating meals together in one combined space. The kitchen also features access to the back screen porch and grilling deck, offering more outdoor seating to make dining al fresco a breeze. This house was perfect for our family of 8 adults, 2 kids and 3 babies. We really enjoyed the open plan first floor well-stocked kitchen and living room set-up, and having four separate bedroom spaces upstairs with en suite baths for each small family to separate off to. We did stick to the keurig for coffee because the full pot machine was on the fritz.While it's location is not peak Cape Charles, being outside of the historic district, it's just a few short minutes via rented golf carts or drive to get into the thick of it. With the young kids, we actually preferred being in the gated community with little to no traffic to worry about. The management team was super helpful. We arrived to Cape Charles a bit before 4pm check-in and they were willing to text us when the house was ready after turning over about an hour early. During the stay, we had one snafu where the A/C stopped working due to a flipped fuse and it was promptly taken care of. We would return again next summer!

Great time spent with family in a very nice house. I was delighted to see the cleanliness of the home. Very nice updated furnishings. Kids loved the dead end road so they could ride their bikes!.Just a short golf cart ride to the beach.

We love Cape Charles and have stayed there many times. This is a very nice house. Large, great bedrooms, comfortable beds, Nice set up, lovely kitchen. Great for multiple families but it definitely needs some maintenance. Many light bulbs were out, fence gates hanging off, trim hanging on back porch, Also no coffee maker (which is a must). This house is far to beautiful to not be maintained better.

The house was perfect for my Birthday celebration with my family! It was clean and the layout comfortable and inviting for family gatherings especially in the kitchen and family room area!
Please make sure the shower upstairs is fixed completely for your next guests. Also thanks for having the bikes and beach stuff in the garage; would suggest an accesible air pump for the bikes, luckily we had one and enjoyed the bike rides.
Overall great house and the staff at Chesapeake Properties are wonderful!

This home was perfect for our family-3 couples and grandkids. A special thank you to Kristie in the rental office who made sure to make this stay even better. We did notice the shower in the one bathroom didnt work (tub did-missing the part to pull up for shower) but this did not present any issue to our stay. Will definitely return!

We have been coming for the past few years to stay in the adorable town of Cape Charles. Great little shops and places to eat..."small town America"! Grab a golf cart to zip around the town! Make sure you hit the wine and cheese shop for John's daily picks (very nice guy...we tend to buy our weekends worth of his recommendations!) Have stayed at this home a couple of times and its BEAUTIFUL and fits the needs of our group that comes. Christy was easy to work with for our reservations and quick to respond to a minor issue we had with the tv!(Who comes to the beach to watch tv...right...BUT we didn't have the best weather. We would TOTALLY recommend this house and Chesapeake Properties to everyone...won't be disappointed! Can't wait to return next year to the Wave on Wave...and the BEACH!!

We were in town for a family wedding. Did not spend much time at the house. However it was large and comfortable. Had 3 king beds which was perfect. And a 4th bedroom for kids or extra sleeping. We were 7 adults. The house could have more coffee cups. I washed them by hand so not to run dishwasher everyday The ice maker was not working so I needed to buy ice. Overall beautiful house in a lovely area close to town. I would definitely recommend Wave on Wave. Property management was friendly.

The place was very spacious and a great location. Wave on Wave needs a deep cleaning including all kitchen supplies. We hand washed everything before using it because everything felt greasy or had food stuck to it. The main shower was backed up with standing water and was not fixed while we stayed. It would also be helpful to have a working icemaker in the freezer.

We rented golf carts for the week and found the house easily accessible to the pool (7 minutes), restaurants and the beach (5 minutes). We all had a great time! The house was the perfect size and had plenty of room for all of us. There were many small things that could have been and should have been fixed in the house. The property sleeps a large number of people but they did not have enough kitchen things or blankets for all. We did not let this hamper our stay. The private beach is located in the sister- gated community, but is worth the 5 min drive. Clean, calm, clean bathroom facilities, and perfect waves for young children. Our family rented this house for a week for the first time. It is our 5th summer in Cape Charles and we had the MOST AMAZING time. The layout is wonderful.Family room is spacious, kitchen has lots of counter space, the table and counter stools sat our extended family without feeling at all crowded. The house is equipped with tv service, so we were able to watch the NBA finals on the big screen. Wi-fi worked well throughout the house. Kitchen is well-equipped with both a regular coffee maker and Keurig. There are various pots/pans of different sizes & decent fry pans (which rentals usually never had so we always had to bring our own). Plates, cups, mugs--it is like a home away from home. There were 2 separate fridges for drinks. We utilized the pool &priv beach. House is CLEAN, no smell. Decorated very tastefully. A/C works well in all areas. The upstairs sitting area worked well as the teenage hangout for gaming, and thet adults hung out in the family room which felt so open w/high ceilings. I was surpised at how spacious each room was--they did not use a special lens to make the rooms look bigger--they are pretty true-to-size like exactly like the pictures!Men golfed & women did the outlet mall +Crabbing at Kiptok.A few things to keep in mind when renting--1. Mosquitoes in CC summer--You HAVE to spray yourself even if you are going to go outside for longer than 3 minutes. We did not have any of the bugs come inside thanks to the double door foyer (SO smart!), 2.Gas grill in the covered patio area is not located in the best place--smoke from the grill tends to hang out in and around the area without exiting outside. A fan would be useful if you are grilling a lot. 3. There is an automatic light system for the 2nd floor landing area that we didn't figure out how to turn off, so if you have a kid sleeping on the 2nd floor sofabed who needs darkness, the ambient light might keep him/her up. 4. Dryer takes longer than usual to dry towels so don't overload

We had a wonderful stay at Wave on Wave! The house and location were great. The house was clean and in a very private gated neighborhood conveniently located near town and the beach. The house had a slight mildew smell upon our arrival, but it seemed to dissipate as the week went on. The house had everything we needed, although only had one set of twin sheets for 2 twin beds, but we made it work. Overall, great stay!
