The mountains are calling.... Oak Hill Inn offers 3 charming rooms each with private entrance and bathroom. The perfect location with a short 5 min. walk to the heart of down town. Our Inn boasts rustic charm with modern comforts!! We're family owned and operated for over 30 year and take pride in making our guests feel welcome!
We offer 3 charming private rooms available for rent at Oak Hill Inn. This listing is for our patio room #1 this room boasts its own private patio under a beautiful live oak. This room has a queen bed, private bathroom, private entrance, dining area in room, flat screen TV with cable, dining ware, Keurig , and mini refrigerator. The perfect accommodations for 2 adults. Our carriage house rooms #1 & #2 are located in a building adjacent to the main house up the stairs from Coleman Circle.
If your looking to enjoy the rest of Julian you are just steps away to the heart of down town. Wonderful restaurants, shopping, wineries, apple pie, breweries, gold mine tours, etc. Or take an afternoon and enjoy a short drive to explore Lake Cuyamaca, Volcan Mountain, the Nature Center in Santa Ysabel or tour the Wolf Center.
The grounds are beautiful and located within five minutes walking distance to downtown Julian (0.3 miles). Parking is located on Coleman Circle next to the stairs that lead up to the Inn. Mike & Laura will be glad to assist you with your luggage if you need help up the stair and/or any other special accommodations. Please note we do have a lot of stairs. Call or message us ahead of time with any concerns so we can be plan ahead and make your stay as comfortable as possible.
***For the safety and comfort of all our guest there is absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind in our rooms OR on the property.
***We do not accommodate children under 12yrs. do to the small rooms and quiet setting.
***Do to sever allergic reaction to any future guest no pets, service animals or emotional support animals are allowed in our guest rooms. We apologize for any inconvenience but our rooms are carpeted and we keep the health and safety of all our guest a top priority.

We loved our stay at Oakhill Inn. Stayed in room #1 and it was amazing. The quiet and private patio was great to sit outside and have a drink or a cup of coffee. Room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. AC was cool. Will definitely be coming back!

Like a hybrid between boutique hotel to a romantic cabin.
Every thing is just perfect! But my favorite area was the beautiful little pool with the coolest Tavern ever!

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the quaint boutique Oak Hill Inn close to the heart of Julian. Set in lush greenery on a quiet street on the side of a hill, the inn includes an even quainter pool and DIY "honor system" tavern. The center of town is a mere 5-10 minute uphill walk (or 1-minute drive). My only caution - those who may have walking issues or difficulty negotiating the 15 steep steps to their rooms would be best advised to seek accommodations elsewhere. For me and my husband, the Oak Hill Inn was perfect!

Sweet property. Weather was foggy/rainy and we stayed only a night, but the oool area and Tavern were really nice. Fully stocked bar. Hope to come back!

Thank you to the owners for opening up Room 1 for our Super Bowl weekend stay in Julian. After a week of sleet & snow, we made our way to Oak Hill. Though the room was cold at first, the heater warmed us in this cute unit, filled with antiques and its own private, lighted patio. The bathroom’s retro tiles and pedestal sink added to the charm. The location could not be more perfect, just a short walk to coffee, souvenirs and of course - apple pie! Thank you for your hospitality as we enjoyed visiting in the tavern (the honor bar is a unique and welcome treat).

Our stay was very nice. I love the room with the private patio and the oak tree really pretty in. The room is adorable. I think the parking situation should be better or a sign on exactly where to park because it just feels funny parking on the street thank you very much. We will be back if we come back to this area.Kiki

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the property was perfect for walking to town and the wedding venue was only 3 miles away. My husband and I stayed in Room #1 and our daughter in Room #2 which was very convenient. The tavern was well stocked and a great ammenity as well as the patio. The stairs from the street to the front door were quite steep and might be difficult for older adults.

It was a great stay. We enjoyed a few hours poolside with our friends who also booked the room next door. Our Hosts were friendly and helpful. Communication was awesome from booking to checking out, we will stay again in the future.

Oak Hill Inn is a wonderful place! My partner and I were pleasantly surprised. Laura and Mike were super inviting and great hosts. We will definitely be back for more Staycations. The pool was a treat on a warm summer day. It is within walking distance to town. The stairs are steep going to the property so keep that in mind if stairs are a problem for you or anyone in your party.

My husband and I loved our stay at Oak Hill Inn. The hosts, Laura and Mike, have created a warm, welcoming environment in which no detail has been overlooked. The bed and bedding were soft and comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything we needed for our stay. We ran out of coffee pods for the Keurig, and Laura delivered them outside our door within a few minutes! When we first arrived, we wandered up to the pool and happened to meet Laura and Mike. Mike gave us a tour of the well-stocked Tavern honor bar. Our room was quiet and the private patio was secluded. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

Laura and Jim greeted us and helped with the bags. Their Rec’s on restaurants and places of interest were just right for us. Could use more drawer space for longer stays, and the stairs could be difficult for some, but not us. 5 minute walk to town as advertised. Pie is a way of life in Julian.

Our stay was awesome! The room was even better than the pictures and the outside area was perfect to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and conversation. There was a Keurig machine with coffee and condiments to start the morning off.
We were just a few blocks from the cute downtown. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Julian!

We loved the room and the tavern. Everything was so cute and cozy. The 2 resident kitties also visited us and made us feel warm and welcome. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the pool! Thanks for the great stay!

Location isn’t bad. The room was decent; however the bed was pretty terrible. Noisy and uncomfortable -the pillows were comfy.
Not allowed to hang out on the property 30 mins prior to the 3:00 pm check-in time.

The inn was easy to get to and within walking distance to Main Street. Parking is designated for guests. A key code is provided by the owners prior to check in. The room was clean. There is a remote controlled heater/AC unit, small kitchenette available with sink, Keurig coffee maker and coffee/tea pods, mini fridge, and tv. The only complaint is the bed. It was very uncomfortable. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I had a great stay here. The propriety is charming. Check in was super easy and all the attractions of central Julian are 5 minutes walk away. The honesty bar is a lovely touch.

We had such a nice time! Laura & Mike are super friendly and take great pride in their Inn which has been a part of their family. The Tavern with the honor system is dangerous 😉. You can easily walk into town for shopping and meals. We especially liked the goldmine tour. We were in Room #1 and loved the private patio and the hammock.

Great place, 2 minute walk distance to main street of Julian. The place is perfect for a short stay, has a pool but the weather was a little cold to get in. We had an excellent stayed. I would definitely recommend it and use my self again. Thank you to Laura for make it so easy to find the property, parking and check in and out process.

Our stay here was amazing! The room was adorable and the perfect for just the two of us. Laura recommended a great winery for us to try in the area, and they come and turned the pool lights on for us when it started to get dark. We stayed in room 1, and it has a cute little balcony area under a tree off the side of the room. Perfect for a morning of reading. The inn is within walking distance of main street of Julian. Perfect for a little get away spot.

Thanks so much! Owners were great and fun to talk with. Great location for walking to downtown Julian or driving to many great hikes in the area. It happened to be hot the weekend we were there so many dips on the artistic pool were needed and appreciated. Hung out in the Tavern and my wife loved the fact ice cream was available at all times. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved this place! The owners were good people and the place was just secluded enough. Stayed in room one and loved the private patio, the room was clean and offered everything you would need. Very comfortable place to stay and highly recommend, I’ll be staying there again when I’m in the area.

It would seem easier for guests to have temporary parking on the upper level to unload luggage down the stairs to the room, upon arrival! After, when checking out, down stairs to parking is no problem!

Had a very nice stay - we were in Julian for a wedding weekend and the location was perfect. Stairs getting to and from the rooms may be a problem for some but we enjoyed our stay.

Love the private little place. Super close to town, great value, and pleasant environment to relax and get away from everything. My only complaint is I didn’t know the owners are always living on the property and may be in the pool area at the same time as guests.
