About this farm stay rental
Unwind in this private White Mountain retreat located on over 5 acres just minutes off I-93. Roughly 5 minutes to Owl’s Nest, 15 minutes to Waterville Valley, 20 minutes to Loon and Ice Castles, the home is a great launchpad to activities during any season - skiing (sledding right on site!), hiking, swimming, golfing, leaf peeping. Guests of the farmhouse have access to the White Mountain Athletic Club for a daily fee (indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, tennis, cardio/weights).
**Owner's unit, with separate entry and driveway, is attached by one shared wall.
The home itself opens into a generously sized entryway with a coat closet and plenty of space to store coats, shoes and gear. One full bathroom is located off the entryway, and is just down the stairs from two of the bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twins. Exiting the entryway and moving past the staircase to the upstairs bedrooms you’ll find the flexible living/dining/kitchen area, with the kitchen located along the back wall of that room. French doors separate the dining/living/kitchen area from the main living room, so that space could be used as a flexible fourth bedroom if needed. Off the living area is another full bathroom that also connects to the main level bedroom. There is a large deck off the back of the home, as well as a large fenced in lawn area, for outdoor living during warmer months. There is also a cedar shingled chicken coop (not in use) which helps to provide a rustic farm-like ambiance. Further, the lot slopes uphill to the rear corner, so it makes the perfect sledding hill during the snowy months (sleds kept under the deck).
Guests have use of the whole house, as well as the back deck and fenced in yard areas.
***The attached owner’s unit has its own driveway and entryway, and those areas, as well as the basement, are the only areas off-limits to guests.
**PETS ALLOWED BY PRE-APPROVAL ONLY AND AN ADDITIONAL $50 PET CLEANING FEE WILL BE CHARGED PRIOR TO CHECK-IN.
Pet Fee must be paid prior to check-in or your pet will not be allowed on the property.
**NO PETS ALLOWED ON FURNITURE OR IN BEDS. (Security deposit penalty may apply if pet hair is found on furniture or in beds).
DOGS:
*Your dog should be friendly and house trained. Dogs that utilize pee pads are NOT allowed.

We stayed here for one night as a very quick getaway. It was cheaper than hotel rooms. House was clean and worked for the one night. Bathrooms are both downstairs so upstairs bedrooms have to go down to use one. Front yard was a little slippery after the snow. Getting to the porch was a bit of a challenge. We all had our own rooms tho so that was really nice.

We had such a great stay! It was very spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a quick weekend visit. Lot of cool shops and restaurants around too.

Great house. Convenient to the Owls Nest were the wedding was. Easy check in. Only thing I wish is that checkout was by noon.

Very clean and tidy antique unit attached to owners' house.
Great fenced in yard with fire pit. The kitchenette has what we needed to make meals.
Great selection of board games and cozy area to hang out with the family.
Very polite and responsive host.
Thank you for having us as your guests.

White mountain retreat
We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The farmhouse is comfortable, quiet, clean, and spacious. The beds and furniture are comfortable, and the added fans (for downstairs) and window AC unit (for the upstairs bedroom) were great when we needed them. The appliances are excellent, but be aware that a washer or dryer is not included except for longer stays. The cooktop is a bit small, the kitchen area needs better lighting, but otherwise we had what we needed (minus a grater!). The wifi worked beautifully, there was no cellular service in the house (either AT/T or Verizon) but there is once you drive towards town. We were also only told to bring our own towels on the day of arrival, when we were driving up and so had to stop and buy towels, which was annoying.
There are many activities, hikes etc within a short drive and the pool at the club was wonderful on a hot afternoon. The large supermarket, Market Basket, in Plymouth, was fantastic and only 15 minute drive away. Plymouth also had some cool places to eat -notably, delicious Poke bowls and home-made ice cream. Amazing coffee, vibe and baked goods at Mad RIver Coffee House. And the fenced in back yard and back deck were great for hanging out. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. Overall, we loved our stay.
