We enjoyed our comfy stay at this home.
The hot tub was a wonderful thing to come home to each night.
We did have an issue with the smoke alarms and Co2 detector, Vacasa wasn’t as responsive as would would have hoped, we did have to end up calling the fire dept to come and make sure it was just a faulty co2 and not actually leaking in the home. Then Vacasa ended up sending out a maintenance guy to change out the detector and batteries to the fire alarms. So that was an early unexpected morning. After that we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

We had an extended family trip to Granby Ranch & Winter Park, and this house is a great location for both ski areas.
Pros: we had enough space for everyone - the kids didn’t need to share beds. It’s a short drive to Granby Ranch and down to the shopping/Safeway/etc. The property manager responded quickly & was very helpful.
Cons: The hot tub control panel is not on the near side which is not intuitive (minor detail), the toilet paper supply was insufficient (which the property manager addressed), the driveway is narrow with sharp looking drop offs on either side.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but may not pick this property again.

There was only 4 of us so we didn't get to utilize all the space this house had to offered. Location was great (closed to a grocery store and all the places we wanted to go to). Communication was good. The only thing I wished this house had was a garage door remote that we can take with us (was told that there wasn't one), since we parked in the garage. It would of been more easier to get in and out. Otherwise, we loved the hot tub and the bed in the Master was very comfy. Would definitely recommend and come back if we're back in the area.

Spruce Chalet was an awesome fit for our large group. Tons of places to sleep, kitchen/bathrooms all stocked with everything we needed. Hot tub was a huge bonus after 4 back-to-back days of skiing. Distance to Grandby Ranch is hard to beat and the drive to Winter Park was just as convenient. Highly reccommend to anyone with a big family or group of guests.

Great family location!
Our family visited the Spruce Chalet for a ski trip to Granby Ranch. It's only a 3 minute drive to the ski area, and the skiing was great for kids. The house is clean and cozy and has beautiful views from the front deck. 5 stars for sure!

Everything you need.
We skied both Winter Park and Granby. It's a great location. Lovely views. It was very clean and quiet. Plenty of room for our family. We were tired at the end of the days and loved coming home to cook in the well stocked kitchen. Strongly recommend this place for a cozy, family get together. We are planning to come back for a lengthy stay next year.

What a cozy gem
Our family of 7 really enjoyed this home. It seems it’s under new ownership. It had everything we needed. We skied two days at winter park and one day at granby ranch. It’s quiet and the views are impeccable. Thank you! Kristin M

Beautiful place
The house itself was perfect. I only wish I paid attention that it was in an HOA as I will never stay in another property that is. The rule of you can't sit quietly in the hot tub after 10pm was just dumb. As a grown up, it is almost impossible to go & see the sights & have fun all day, come home & make dinner, clean up after dinner, play games with the kids and TRY to have time to sit in the hot tub after the kids go to bed. That's what happened on our vacay. I really wanted a hot tub to relax in before bed & that never happened at this property. Neighbor was sure to say something the very 1st night. Other than that, the house & location were fabulous.

Very disappointed
Our experience with this vacation rental was terrible. It started off bad when we arrived at the lockbox to get the key and the box wouldn’t open. We called the 1-800# for VACASA (the property mgr). The people on the phone were pleasant but unable to help get the lockbox open. They tried contacting the local rep multiple times but never received a response. They were finally able to have us access the backup lockbox at the home and we were able to get in. That took approximately 1 hour😕. Once we got in the house, the experience got worse. The house was filthy! There were dirty towels on one of the bathroom floors, paper on another bathroom floor, food in the refrigerator, the ceiling fans were filthy, the bathroom vents and ac vent were caked with dirt, the wood banisters upstairs were very dusty and there were broken chips or crackers in one of the drawers in the kitchen. There were not enough towels and washcloths for our group. I called on Day 1 and they said they would have more delivered the next morning. They were never delivered. The table for 8 only had 3 chairs and 1 of them was broken. We couldn’t all sit at the table for our meals or to play cards, etc. The AC unit wouldn’t keep the house cool during the day. I’ve rented several houses through VRBO and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had.

1. The dinning table only had 3 chairs and one of them was broken. We we asked about the other chairs, or getting more chairs, no one got back to us.
2. There is a very nosey neighbor. There is a sign posted on the deck of the house by the hot tub to be out by 10:00 and all outside lights turned off. The first night we were there, our kids were in the hot tub and the neighbor lady came over, before 8pm, and told us to pay attention to the sign and make sure we were out by 10. On our last night there, 2 adults from our group were in the hot tub. They were the only ones outside in the hot tub. They were very quiet and sitting in the dark. They got out at 9:59 and were drying off when the same neighbor lady came walking over with her flashlight at 10:00 to make sure they were out of the hot tub. Felt like we were being watched.

The stove was non functional. The home was not cleaned prior to when I checked in with dirty wet towels on the floor of all bathrooms, bed linens not changed/cleaned, and discarded trash present from the previous renter including a used condom. I contacted the property manager who did nothing about it and offered no explanation.

A nice home with lovely views
Enjoyed our stay here with our son and his family, and found the home to be warm, light filled and a nice open floor plan. The hot tub was a treat and was in good order for our stay. The neighborhood is lovely, and there were trails to hike/ snowshoe nearby, and skiing just a few minutes drive. I might suggest adding more silverware and plates to the kitchen, as there was just enough for our group of 8, but we managed fine. We had a couple of minor issues... no tv service at all, and the dryer didn't work, but otherwise everything was as stated. A nice community and ideal for families.

Great time
We had a great time. The only thing that I could say bad was that we couldn't get the TVs to work but that was a blessing anyway. Thanks for opening your home to us.

Granby Retreat
Enjoyed our time here. Great location for our family. Comfy home away from home with lots of room. Our boys enjoyed the private hot tub nightly. The only downfall or issue we encountered was after washing a load of laundry and starting another one the dryer did not work.
