About this house rental
Wake up to the sounds of the ocean surf from this fabulous oceanfront home. Located in Alii Point, a lush and tropical private community of 16 homes. Just two miles south of historic Kailua-Kona, you can walk to breakfast or ride a bike.
This beautifully decorated home has a large open floor plan with huge sliding doors opening up to ocean and coastline views. Facing south, there is large shaded lanai set up for outdoor dining with spectacular ocean views and there is a 35' private heated swimming pool.
The home is very private with tall lava rock walls and beautiful gardens and a grassy yard at the waters edge. The location is amazing in this lush and tropical private community of 16 homes. Located two miles south of historic Kailua-Kona, you can walk or bike ride (4 bikes provided) to breakfast and enjoy Kona Town with many excellent restaurants and shops and come back to the house and enjoy swimming, snorkeling and surfing right out the back door. We are also very close to white sands beach.
The floor plan offers one bedroom and bath on each level. The top level is separated from the main house via an exterior stairway and private entrance. Upstairs is a nice ocean view bedroom, with lanai patio, queen size bed, private bathroom with large shower and two double sinks, and walk in closet. New high def TV's are in each bedroom as well as Blue Ray DVD players and an extensive DVD library.
Main floor hosts the Great Room including kitchen with new dishwasher, dining area for 8 and lanai for outdoor dining. There is a guest bedroom on this level with two queen-sized beds, a large flat screen TV and separate guest bath. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and AC throughout the house.
Bottom floor, just off the pool is the large master bedroom with a huge, cedar walk-in closet, and large en suite bathroom. Master bedroom has a king-sized bed, new flat screen TV and AC. Private bathroom has a bidet, Jacuzzi tub and large shower with private door to pool and ocean.
Separated from the main house is a 4th bedroom connected to the garage with a queen-sized bed and window unit AC to keep things cool.
In addition, this home comes with all you'll need to stay active while you're here. Included are surfboard, boogie boards, snorkel, fins and masks, beach pads, tennis rackets, beach chairs, umbrellas, cold drink coolers, air mattress, pack & play, and new BBQ grill.
The Alii Point community of luxury residences is a tropical paradise that includes a botanical garden with beach access and features both a community lap pool and a tennis court. A meandering path leads through the garden setting down to the water's edge. There is also beach access for taking a swim and just a short walk down to turtle beach. It was our 50th, so we took our Son, Daughter in Law and granddaughter. I knew they would love the pool and the beautiful ocean view. It was such a peaceful experience to have our dinners on the outdoor patio listening to the surf and watching the surfers each morning while we had breakfast. We've been to the islands several times, but the Big Island was new to us.

Our family had a wonderful celebration together! Property listing & pictures depicting the home as Luxurious might have been accurate years ago, but is now in need of upgrading both inside & outside. The managing company has a fairly accurate list of items that truly need attention. To their credit, they also responded quickly to a few areas that needed immediate attention. We have stayed in many rental properties & was very surprised at the "lack of Luxurious" right down to the lack of newer towels, exterior lounge chairs, furniture upholstery. along with the Welcome gift of just a small can of macadamia nuts was a huge tell that this once Luxurious property is in much need of TLC. But, again the View was truly amazing & we made some awesome memories for a lifetime there!

This house was great for our family of five adults. We had plenty of room to spread out when we wanted space but the communal areas were setup for the times we wanted to be together. The view was spectacular and we appreciated that the location wasn't far from a variety of local restaurants.

We had a great time at this property! It was stocked with beach equipment that was very useful for us. The space was perfect for my husband and I with 6 kids. The house was a good location, we were able to walk to a few places including a little convenience store and a local market for trinkets and shaved ice.

This was the perfect property for our family Christmas vacation. The house is stunning with jaw dropping ocean views. Inside the house is large and spacious with 2 rooms in the main house and 2 additional rooms just off the patio BBQ area. This property really has everything you need to make your next vacation just as fantastic as ours.

We instantly fell in love with the spaciousness and view! The host provided a great supply (in quality and quantity) of everything a traveler may need on a trip. We were a party of 8 and appreciated the large quantity of dinnerware, flatware, cookware, pool toys, seating and dining areas, and bath and pool towels. The host was happy to provide additional supplies upon request. The gated community is quiet and safe. If you walk down to the end of the cul-de-sac at sunset, you're in for a gorgeous view. Highly recommend this property!

Arrived and place was unacceptably dirty especially on the outside.
Pool very dirty, outside furniture unable to use due to bird droppings and dirt. Used hair bands at side of pool. Empty McDonalds lying pool side. Old shoe lying outside also. Towels bleached stained. Mild and dampness smell from washing machine. Pillows and mattress stained with no pillow protectors or mattress protectors used. Windows and window runners black with dirt. Spiral staircase black with dirt and hair. Ants throughout the internal of the property. Downstairs dark, old and in desperate need of refurbishment. Outside 2 bedrooms unable to due to lack of security especially for the children which resulted in kids sleeping on couch in main house. Broken toaster. Just overall disappointing given cost however spectacular view. Needs ripped out and refurbishment throughout, sorry.

The views are priceless, and we loved all the outdoor seating. The pool was great for watching surfers in the evening, and sunsets can be caught at an empty lot a few doors down. As expected at any beach house, there is a bit of dampness/wear and tear downstairs (master bedroom). It was still perfect to us and could suit a multi-adult vacay due to arrangement of 3 bedrooms, essentially separate from others.

This house is gorgeous right on the water, breakfast every morning was just superb with the view. Just wished there was extra one more bathroom in the courtyard bedroom. Very private gated community. House was filled with every little items so no need to worry if you forgot something. Town is just 5min drive. Would definitely come back again and recommend this house to all friends and family!!

You are also minutes from downtown Kona for more dining, shopping and sand beach access as well as groceries. We had one question at the beginning of the trip which was promptly answered by the management company.
We alternated a chill day with an activity day. The chill days were enjoyed pool and beach side at the home. We marveled everyday at our view and accommodations! We would highly recommend this property for your group of 4-8!

Everything was beautiful… decor…amenities… the only thing disappointing was the bedrooms were nit described correctly …. The 3rd bedroom was outside the main house with NO BATHROOM. AND THE 4th bedroom was outside the main house which made it difficult to use either of those bedrooms for children. Other than the bedroom situation everything was perfect

Great beachfront house with character
A beautiful home right on the water and in a great location near snorkeling during the day and restaurants at night. The house had anything you could possibly want- a great stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach toys, you name it they have it! We loved sitting at the outdoor table in the morning enjoying our coffee and the serenity of the ocean. Great for multiple families or couples. Thanks for having us!

We loved everything about this place!! It had everything we needed and wanted. There were 8 of us and we cooked many meals and also ate out at some local favorites which are very close. I would stay here again in a second!!! I didn’t want to leave. It was perfect! We could hear the waves crashing all night! We came out to celebrate my Dads 80th birthday and he slept outside on the loungers every night but one because it was raining. Love love LOVE this place!!

Fantastic location.
We enjoyed all the wonderful appointments of this house. It felt very private. We especially enjoyed the location and walked to coffee, the Ali'i pool and the marketplace across the street. Absolutely blissful.

The property and location were beautiful. There were some last minute problems which prevented us from using the whole home. The owner made good with it by giving us a partial refund. It was unfortunate that we had no access to the third bedroom or the lanai. our third couple had to find other accomodations.

There was plenty of room and things to do for my wife and me plus the five 18 & 19 year-olds. It was a working (+ school) vacation for all of us and the internet held up well. The owner was also considerate of our concerns due to COVID issues and was very accommodating with her cancelation policy. We would book again and we wish we were there now!

Unfortunately we were unable to complete our stay, as the timing was at the start of the COVID-19 travel restrictions. The owner, Marie, was very accommodating in helping us get a full refund, despite the short notice and the challenges of dealing with the VRBO system. We are hoping that we can reschedule another stay soon.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location.
This is such a beautiful property in and ideal location. We loved the amazing view and the quiet neighborhood. This was the best stocked property we have ever stayed at. Everything we needed was already available to us. Having so many chairs and boogie boards available was a real bonus. It will be difficult to ever stay in another property that lives up to this experience. Thank you.

Just what we were looking for
This house was a perfect fit for all our needs.
My wife and I along with our two adult sons and their girlfriends all instantly felt at home. The layout with all its patios and balconies and the pool overlooking the ocean was fabulous.
The locations was excellent too, right on the sea and close enough to town and with an open air market across the street.
The garage was well stocked with beach toys and bikes and Rick, the property manager was very helpful making sure we had everything we needed.
We would certainly come again

Better air conditioning and it’s a 5!
The only reason I did NOT give the overall rating a 5 is that the air conditioning was poor and the main floor was about 78 degrees all week, with the bedrooms slightly cooler. For the price we paid I would have expected better. The house is beautiful, the view is spectacular, the pool is great, bedrooms nice, kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils. And the location was absolutely perfect - easy to get to everything. The owner was easy to communicate with and the property manager was extremely attentive and available. So overall we had a great stay.
